Elena looked down at the paper again. "Then seventeen could be the shelf number," she said.
Lucas nodded slightly. "Let us test it."
They began counting. The silence of the library made even their breathing feel loud.
As they counted higher, Elena's focus sharpened. They stopped at the seventeenth shelf.
"This is it," Lucas said quietly.
Elena stepped closer to the seventeenth shelf and her eyes moved across the rows.
Now came the next part.
"Three – B," she said.
Lucas looked at the shelf carefully.
"There are rows," he said. "Top to bottom."
Elena nodded and looked at the third row. "This row," Elena said.
Now they looked at the books. Small labels were attached at the corners of the shelves.
Each row had subsections.

B.
C.
Elena exhaled slowly. "Section B," she said.
Lucas's gaze followed hers. They moved along the third row until they reached the part marked "B."
Now only one part remained.
"Nine – E," Lucas said.
