The following morning, upon his awakening, despite the disagreement of the villagers, Akar decided he needed to leave the village and continue along his venturesome voyage across Heart Island.
Waving goodbye as he trode across the grassy meadows surrounding the village, he couldn't shake the thought of what he saw last night. It still baffled him how all of that could've happened. Maybe he truly had underestimated the powers others had across the world.
His thoughts were quickly interrupted as the meadows abruptly converted into a deep, thick, jungle, so much so to the extent that Akar found himself hacking away at the low brush to cut himself a path through the trees.
Passing through the menagerie of wildlife surrounding him was somewhat surreal. Both the flora and fauna back in Gurugashu were nothing like this. He found himself smiling around at the gorgeous shine the midday sun cast through the forest roof above him, illuminating the living and thriving ecosystem beneath it.
As he continued, though, he realized that not all may have been for the better. Out of nowhere, an enormous and seemingly hostile beast hurled out of the trees and right towards Akar.
Thankfully, his quick reflexes meant he was able to block the unexpected attack with relative ease, crossing his swords in front of his torso to fend off the monster's huge paws. Jumping back, he got a better look, realizing once more that he had never seen anything like this in his entire life.
The creature jumped toward Akar once more, the swordsman jumping out of the way again. He found this entire fight to be an annoyance. While not difficult by any means, it was certainly knocking into his travel time. He'd hoped to find another village by sunset, but it was unlikely now.
As he fought the beast, Akar found himself rolling around quite a bit to evade its moves. Finally, as he jumped high above it, Akar's blades came crashing down with a ludicrous force into the creature, slicing it to bits.
As Akar landed, he fell onto his back, still a bit exhausted from his battle over Vekubo Village. However, as he lay facing the sky, he noticed something quite peculiar. He wasn't facing the sky.
High above him, hovering around the height of the large trees that surrounded it, was a floating island.
