Chapter 129 - Don't Keep The Devil Waiting Old Friend

POV Rio

After releasing the spirits last night, I was now ready to deal with William Afton and Cassidy, which is why we were currently outside the building where William was trapped. I could see him through the walls. I could also see a limp Golden Freddy suit sitting right next to the wall that covers the secret room entrance. With a security puppet hiding in the ceiling tiles. It was dormant until Henry and I arrived, which caused it to start to twitch.

"You ready to meet your daughter again?" I ask.

"Yes, it's been too long. What about Michael?" Henry asks.

"Not here. But that just means I will have to track him down myself later. A bit annoying, but oh well," I reply.

I push open the door, and the first thing I see is the Puppet crawling through the ceiling towards us. I stand in the doorway but don't move further until she is closer.

"Why don't you come out?" I say aloud.

The Puppet freezes and then slowly starts to slide out from a broken ceiling tile. It looks at me but then freezes when it sees Henry behind me. It starts to shake, and Henry looks at the Puppet with the eyes of a father seeing their daughter.

"I'll leave you two to catch up. I have some set up to do," I say while walking away from their reunion.

I wasn't worried about Charlotte hurting her father. And even if she did try, I had cast a shielding spell on Henry, which could survive most of what the limited strength an animatronic can produce. I walked towards Cassidy and confirmed that there was only one spirit inside.

'That's good. That should mean this will be easier.'

The suit remains completely inert as Cassidy doesn't perceive me as either an Afton or a Security guard. The most attention I got was when I first entered, which caused her eyes to look at me for a split second. I took advantage of this chance to start setting up a ritual and some binding spells.

'Hmm, purified salt, tallow, silver powder, and a pinch of garlic. That should do it.'

After everything is set up, I see Cassidy is still ignoring me. But I also see Henry was still chatting with the Puppet, but now they weren't crying, so I headed back to talk with the Puppet.

"Are you guys done?" I ask.

"Yes," Henry says, and Charlotte nods.

"Okay, Charlotte, can Cassidy be convinced to move on?" I ask.

Charlotte pauses but then slowly shakes their head.

"I have tried many times to convince them, but they refuse to let go," Charlotte responds.

"Sigh. I figured. Okay, well then, I will do this the hard way. Let me do a few more things, and we can try my last hope of getting Cassidy to move on," I reply.

When I was near Cassidy, I could sense the power of her grudge, and that was when she was basically inert. She will be far stronger once she is activated by one of her triggers. As such, I had one more idea. I would spread the containment field to include the area where William was, and then I would destroy the wall, allowing Cassidy to deal with William Afton for me. I can't guarantee this idea would work, but it was my best guess.

I finish setting up and make sure that Charlotte is not inside and that she knows not to enter the bubble. The I walked over to Cassidy and talked right at her.

"Do you want revenge?" I ask.

The suit starts to shake and twitch, and the raspy voice echoes through the halls.

"I. WANT. AFTON! HE. MUST. LEARN. WHAT. HE. SHOULD. NOT. HAVE. KILLED!" Cassidy says.

"Very well, then go and do so," I say while causing the wall to disintegrate.

Cassidy goes ballistic as if she were having a seizure, and then it starts to crawl in a very odd way towards William Afton, still trapped in his Springtrap Suit. William notices the wall falling apart, and his eyes fill with hope, only to then fill with horror as he sees Golden Freddy crawl towards him with the hatred of a wraith.

"AHHHHHHHH!" William screams as Cassidy attacks him and starts to attack his soul directly.

William flails and struggles to fend off Cassidy, and honestly, it somewhat works as both sides are basically paraplegic elderly folks that can't even move their bodies properly anymore.

'It's kinda sad.'

"HENNNNNRYYYYY! HELLLLLPPPPP MEEEE!!!!!" William screams at Henry, who is visible from the doorway now.

Henry looks away, but then when he looks at Charlotte, his resolve firms.

"The darkest pit of hell has opened for you, so don't keep the devil waiting, old friend," Henry says with anger clear in his tone.

The fight or scuffle happens for another 10 minutes, but eventually, William can't survive any longer, and he perishes. But even after he attempts to leave his mortal coil, Cassidy refuses to let him go. But it makes it so that both Cassidy and William are now frozen as they are stuck in a simulation of sorts. This allowed me to start casting the exorcism spell. I had hoped that with Cassidy killing William with her own hands, paws? Regardless that she would then move on, but it seems that isn't the case.

'Well, here goes the dumbest part of this spell.'

"The power of light compels you! The power of light compels you! The power of light compels you! The power of light compels you! The power of light compels you!" I repeat over and over again as Cassidy and Williams' souls start to weaken.

Despite the spell clearly weakening them, neither seems to react and is still focused on their mental torture. After repeating the phrase over 20 times, the souls become weak enough that they start to disperse. I wait to see the signs of William's soul being grabbed by a demon or dragged to hell, but nothing of the sort happens.

'Huh, I guess this world doesn't have a hell, or a heaven now that I think about it.'

Once I was positive that Cassidy and William Afton were both gone, I ended the spell and then moved on to obliterating the remains.

WRMMMMMMMM

Henry looks at me, and before he can ask, I answer his question.

"I am not taking chances that William or anyone else has some backup in those suits that allow them to survive. William is dead, and he will stay that way if I have any say about it," I reply firmly.

"Um, okay. What's next?" Henry asks.

"Hmm, oh, idea! Do you still have some remains of your daughter?" I ask.

"Um, yeah? Why?" Henry asks.

"Well, I have the ability to resurrect people, and I have never tried it on a long-dead corpse before, so I figured this was a good a chance as ever. Her spirit is still here, so I don't see why it would fail," I reply.

Henry freezes and doesn't move for several seconds. I wave my hand in front of him, and he doesn't react.

"Uh? Did I break him?" I ask Charlotte.

The Puppet doesn't give an expression, but I get the feeling she is looking at me with a conflicted look. I just ignore that and start cleaning up. And by cleaning up, I mean scrapping everything I can with a Workshop. Better to be safe than sorry.

'Well, besides dealing with Michael, I think my schedule is now free.'

I freeze and realise something that truly changes everything.

'It would be for the greater good. They don't need all that stuff. I could also use this chance to collect all that lifeforce I needed to gather for my friends.'

In the books that Indrid gave me, there was a method of immortality that was not impossible to achieve. It wasn't easy, and if I tried in the Fallout Verse, I wouldn't get that far, but here, there are plenty of evil people who need to be eliminated and could therefore donate their lives for the cause. The method that the book explained requires a crap ton of life force, which could only be collected from living beings. Then you would basically dump all the energy into a living being. The result would be a halt to the ageing process and a restoration to the person's peak condition. It also technically made you a lot harder to kill, but that wasn't as needed. I didn't want to be all alone in 100 years, so this plan was placed on the to-do list.

There were downsides to this method. First was you obviously needed to kill a lot of people. And it can't be animals, as the spirit of the animal would influence the person. Making them more animalistic. I needed to do it only on those that are evil enough, as I didn't want to become a mass murdering psycho just to give eternal life to my friends. The next downside was that I got no experience from it anymore. When the system patch was finished, it included patch notes, and it specifically mentioned that the Life Force/XP Glitch was patched. So now I had to choose between collecting life force or Experience.

On the one hand, it was really annoying. But on the other hand, they fixed some serious issues with the system that could have got me permanently killed. Or that could get my companions killed. And the time dilation that was implemented between Fallout and this world would be incredibly useful. For once, I could actually complete all those projects that had been piling up for a long time.

'Hmm, I guess I could also use this chance to get some experience in governing. And we really do need the resources. I am sure this world can lose a little, and in exchange, I can set up some structures to help them advance.'

Eventually, Henry rebooted and fiercely agreed to try. Even promising to join me if I can bring her back ethically. I was happy as I was looking for more scientists. It also meant I would need to add stasis technology to the to-do list.

So the next chapter will be a large timeskip. Mind you, Rio will still be in the FNAF world, but he will make some... big changes. Also no weekend chapters for the forseeable future. Until next time, Ciao.
