POV Rio
After many tries over a month and a half, I had been to many different worlds. Most of them were basically useless. But the nice thing was that every time I was sent to a world that caused my immediate death, I still remembered the coordinates, which meant I technically didn't waste the time or energy. It wasn't that big of a silver lining, but it was there.
When I say I went to a lot of useless worlds, I meant that. A lot of worlds were just straight-up destroyed planets. I also somehow got extremely unlucky and managed to find the coordinates to several planes of Oblivion. All of the worst ones are always at the very beginning of my save points. I also ended up in the world of Happy Tree Friends. That was... very gross when you are seeing it in person. Even worse was that they were stuck in a strange timeloop.
Speaking of gross universes, I was sent to a place that I could only describe as the Pornoverse. Everything was a porno of some kind. I literally couldn't walk ten feet without entering a scene. And some of that stuff was traumatizing. I saw things... Things I will never be able to unsee. Things I didn't even know existed, and I wish I could forget. I had to take a long shower after I respawned. I also took a several-day break to process what I saw.
At least the world after that wasn't so bad. It was the world of High School Musical. Completely useless, but it at least didn't make me want to jump into the void. The next world was pretty cool. It was the world of Shrek. I was really tempted to see if Rumpelstiltskin could help me with the Lich, but I felt it was very likely to backfire, and I doubted I could trust him. I did at least check in with the Fairy Godmother to see if she could help, but she said that wasn't within her power. The next world was seemingly normal until I was confronted by a pair of twin dragon demigods. They politely asked I leave. From what I gathered, that world was the RWBY world where the gods came back and erased humanity. The next world seemed promising until I met someone I felt making me dumber the longer I was near.
"Hey, you seem like a nice guy. Why don't you join my church?" a certain blue-haired woman asked.
"What's its name?" I ask but fear the answer.
"The Axis Cult," the blue-haired woman says, like it's the most normal thing in the world.
"I see," I comment before I grab a flashbang and pull the pin, and then hand it to her.
"Huh? What's this?" Aqua asks dumbly.
I wait for a second and then make a run for it.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH MY EYESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Aqua screams in pain while I run for my life.
I find the mirror and leave that world before disabling the mirror and placing the coordinates in the NEVER USE AGAIN category.
I find all sorts of worlds afterwards, but nothing useful or interesting. That is, until I enter a very promising place. At first, it looked like nothing more than another asteroid field, but I paused when I saw a massive golden cube in the midst of the field of rocks.

'If this is what I think it is, I can use this.'
I fly over to the box and enter one of the several holes to get inside. The place was a bit odd to traverse as it was somewhat like a maze inside. But eventually I reached the place I wanted to get to. The room looked like all the others, with the exception of the large 2D pink man on the wall.
"Whoa, a new guy, huh? That's cool," Prismo comments.
"Hello, I'm Rio, nice to meet you," I reply.
"My name's Prismo, the Wishmaster," Prismo says.
"Huh, can I have a wish granted?" I ask.
"Hmm, well, I uh, I'm gonna be honest with you and say that this is a situation that hasn't happened before. Technically, my powers are meant for our Multiverse. But since you come from outside our Mulitverse I can't be certain I'm allowed to grant your wish. But you got some options. I could grant you a wish as long as it doesn't affect this Multiverse and doesn't include things from beyond this Multiverse. Or I can ask my boss, and he might approve or disapprove of you using my powers. If the boss says no, then I can't help you. Like at all. But on the flip side, if I don't ask, the wish kinda isn't as impressive," Prismo explains.
"If you help me, will you get in trouble?" I ask.
"Huh? Well, not technically. You see, you are outside my usual jurisdiction; as such, any wish I grant would be strictly of my own volition. Which I guess means I can provide greater assistance when you are workshoping the wish," Prismo explains.
I explained my situation and asked if that was something he could assist with.
"Ah, balls, that's really bad. I didn't even know the Lich could exist outside my Multiverse. I'd really like to help you, but I can't interfere with your universe. I have no power there. Even if my boss agreed to let me help you, I couldn't directly interfere, as again, no power there. As for making an artifact that could destroy a soul, that's a bit hard to do. Destroying a soul is a cosmic crime. Technically, I can sort of skirt those rules, but that's usually me, and me alone, that can do that. Not to say it's impossible, but I think I would need permission to create something like that," Prismo explains.
"Hmm, okay, so what exactly are the restrictions in terms of what you can do without asking your boss?" I ask.
"Hmm, well, I can make stuff and beings. I could give you knowledge. I guess I could bestow some power. But anything I grant will be made here in the Time Room and can't be taken into any of the various Universes in this Multiverse," Prismo explains.
"Can I enter said universes myself without any wish-granting?" I ask.
"Uh, yeah, I suppose you could. But you'd have to find a way into them. I wouldn't recommend it, though. As an outsider, some of the other cosmic beings might find issue with your existence. I can't say they won't try to kill you. That and just finding a portal out of this area is super difficult. Would not recommend that," Prismo responds.
"What limits are there on knowledge?" I ask.
"Hmm, I can give you knowledge on almost anything as long as it doesn't relate to cosmic crimes or the various cosmic beings that might horde said knowledge. But I could impart the knowledge of magic, for instance, or technology. But I couldn't teach you how to grant wishes," Prismo says.
"Okay, what about creation. You mentioned beings. Does that mean you could make a being that could contain my Lich?" I ask.
"Hmm, yeah, I think I might be able to do that. But would you want to do that? No offense, but the Lich is really clever. You might not contain him for long. And that would be kicking the can, as it were. Not to mention you only get one wish. I can't break the rule no matter what. And this is like Monkey Paw rules. If you don't explain the wish very carefully, you could get something you didn't want," Prismo warns.
"What about a weapon. I know you can't create a weapon that can destroy a soul, but what about a blade that can seal any evil?" I ask.
"Hmm, that might work. But that would still only delay the issue. And I can't guarantee it will be strong enough to do what you want. Or you might not be able to wield the weapon," Prismo warns.
"Sigh. Wish-granting is really complicated, huh?" I complain.
"Yeah, sorry, but we've got to be very careful how you make this wish. And this is new territory for me. I've never granted a wish for someone from beyond my Multiverse. So for all I know, everything we prepare might not work at all, and this was all for nothing," Prismo says while shrugging his shoulders.
As I go to reply, I sense a feeling I hadn't felt for a while. A gross feeling of death and evil.
"It seems we have company," I reply.
I turn around and see the Lich running towards Prismo, but before he can speak, I cast Silence. The spell creates a bubble where sound cannot exist, thus preventing the Lich from speaking. I could have let him have his wish, but I didn't feel like it when I could stop him. The Lich becomes enraged that I interfered. Prismo gives me a thumbs up and then vanishes. Once he is gone, I let the bubble fall.
"You dare interfere, mortal?" The Lich says with anger.
"Yeah, well, I didn't want you to kill all life if I could stop it," I retort.
"Fool... Wait... That smell. It is familiar," The Lich freezes and then stares at me with confusion.
It was at this time that Finn and Jake arrived.
"Get back here, Lich!" Finn yells.
The Lich looks at them, and then a wall of green fire rises and prevents them from coming into the room.
"You have fought a similar creature to me before, haven't you?" The Lich asks.
"Correct. But you're much weaker than my Lich. Interesting how that works. But, that doesn't matter lets get this overwith," I reply.
Before he could respond, I had activated Chrono Collapse and spammed hundreds of spells. When time resumed, the Lich was instantly vaporized. Unlike my version, there was no soul to escape, as from what I could tell, this Lich seemed far weaker, and as such, his soul struggled to manifest after death. That's not to say he didn't try to escape, but the spells I had cast had forcibly anchored his body to the Time Room. Then I systematically weakened his soul until it couldn't resist the pull of reincarnation and was taken away. The green fire had faded as soon as the Lich had died.
"Hmm, so that theory does work. Perhaps I can use this method?" I mumble to myself.
The reason I was a bit surprised was that this was only a theoretical way to deal with the Lich. The only issue was that it was highly unrealistic that I could bind the Lich long enough to weaken his soul. Not to mention, he could most definitely cast while in his soul form. It was a method if I was desperate, but it was best not to try.
"What happened to the Lich?" Finn asks.
"He's dead. Most likely forever. But Prismo could confirm," I reply.
"Are you the Wishmaster?" Jake asks.
"Me? Oh heavens no. That's Prismo. Speaking of which, you come back now!" I yell.
"Whew, glad he's gone, and yeah, he won't be coming back from that. At least that Lich won't. It's totally possible that another universe's Lich could try something. But, uh, you should get out of here, Rio. You kind of just messed with the timeline. I would suggest you lay low for a bit and then come back in like... a month or two. Otherwise, the fuzz might get you," Prismo suggests.
"Got it. I'll see later," I reply and start making a run for it.
I also left a dimensional marker on Finn and Jake so I could find them later. I could have tried my luck, but I figured Prismo wasn't making things up, and leaving was the smartest move. Which was very true, as when I reached the mirror, I looked back and the Time Room was surrounded by a massive barrier, and it looked like the Citadel Guardians had appeared. I didn't wait any longer and left. Then I disabled the mirror on the other side just in case.
'I'll use this time to think about the wish anyway.'

Author's Note:
It's been a while since the last Author's Note, but I was thinking about the Time Room and its wishes and wondered what someone would do in Rio's shoes. Take the risk and ask Prismo's Boss for a possibly much stronger wish, but risk not getting a wish at all. Or take the weaker wish, but you get a guaranteed wish. Also, what would you wish for, given the current rules?
Now, some might think that I nerfed Prismo's wishes, and I think perhaps I might have, but he does seem to have some restrictions, and it should also be noted that any of his wishes seem to create alternative timelines or realities and thus aren't that useful to Rio. That, and he seems to have some rules he has to abide by, and he seems to have power limitations as well. Not to mention the Lich or some other phenomenon can interfere with his powers, which is very noteworthy, as if it were the Lich, then that means it must be fairly easy to overcome his powers. The Lich is strong, but I don't see him being that strong. But who knows, as technically none of this might matter, as this is a fanfic and thus not cannon but I do try to stick to canon as much as possible. But if I missed something, let me know. I can't seem to find much on his limitations or even rules, so I made some myself.
