Chapter 56 - Healing

Max kneels beside Marcy, his hands glowing with a soft, healing light. He focuses his energy on her wounds, mending broken bones and sealing cuts. Her breathing becomes steady and even as she starts to heal rapidly under his touch. After several minutes, Marcy stirs awake slowly.

Marcy's eyes flutter open, blinking rapidly as she takes in the scene. She sees Max healing her, his hands glowing with energy. Her gaze then shifts to the destruction around them, and finally lands on the empty sky where the Viltrumite ship once hovered. "Max?" she whispers weakly.

"You OK."

"I-I think so," Marcy replies, her voice hoarse from the aftermath of the battle. She tries to sit up, but her body aches all over. Max's gentle hands guide her into a sitting position, supporting her weight. "What happened to Dad?" she asks, her voice trembling slightly.

"They took your father. I couldn't fight them all and keep you and him safe so I had to let him go."

Marcy processes this information slowly as Max continues to heal her. Understanding flickers across her face. "You let them take him... so we could live." She's not angry—she knows Max did what was best. Instead, she seems... thoughtful. "What did they say before they left?"

Max hesitates, then relays General Kregg's final message.

"They want us to prepare the planet for Viltrumite rule," Marcy repeats flatly, her face paling. "They expect us to... conquer Earth for them." She swallows hard, her mind racing with the implications. "Or else they'll return and kill millions."

"Yes."

"So they're giving us a choice," Marcy says slowly, her voice barely above a whisper. "We either become conquerors ourselves... or we become victims." She looks at Max, her eyes searching his face for some kind of answer. "Max, I... I don't know if I can do that. Conquering nations? Killing people? That's not who I am."

"We won't do it anyone they say we're gonna have to kill."

Marcy nods slowly, relief washing over her features. "Good. Because I wasn't going to let millions of people die just to keep a few Viltrumites happy." She winces as Max finishes healing a particularly deep gash on her side. "What are we going to do then? How do we fight an empire that big?"

"First of all the minute we get back to earth your training."

Marcy's eyebrows shoot up at this declaration. "Training? Like, fighting training?" She tries to imagine herself as a warrior and fails miserably—but she trusts Max completely. "You think I can learn to fight like that?" she asks skeptically, gesturing to the destruction around them.

"Yes, and a pretty sure Cecil would be willing to help if he knew what was coming seeing as how you know he's kind of the head of the GDA."

Marcy nods thoughtfully, knowing that Cecil would move heaven and earth to protect Earth if he knew about the Viltrumite threat. "So we tell him everything," she decides. "He deserves to know what we're up against." She pauses, considering Max's plan. "And I'll train."

"Yep, but first we should probably help the people of this planet and go check on your baby brother."

"Yeah, good point," Marcy agrees, feeling a pang of worry for her little brother. She looks around at the wrecked city and the frightened, injured people scattered throughout. "We should help as many as we can before we go." She hesitates, then asks, "Max?"

"Those Viltrumites... they were going to kill everyone here," Marcy says quietly as they begin to help the injured. "You saved all these people today." She glances at him with new respect and love in her eyes. "You're not just strong, Max."

As they work to help the injured, Max's strength and healing abilities are readily apparent. The people around them whisper in awe as he lifts heavy debris effortlessly and heals wounds with a mere touch. Marcy watches him work, her heart swelling with love and admiration.

A month later, they had totally built their society after they finish putting in the final pillar An old Andressa approached with the baby. "Marcy, Max, can you come down here for a moment?" She said

Marcy and Max exchange puzzled glances before descending the stairs to where Andressa stands with the baby cradled in her arms. The village is bustling with activity, a testament to their month of hard work rebuilding and fortifying the society. "What's going on, Andressa?"

Marcy's eyes widen in shock, her arms instinctively reaching out to take the tiny bundle from Andressa. "Take him... with us?" she echoes, looking down at the sleeping face of her little brother. "But... won't he be safer here? With you all?"she asked " as you can probably see I'm old I won't live long enough to even see his first birthday and with how slow he's aging compared to these people he will have to watch his friends in world ones die over and over again when his father was here, it was fine. He would have him, but he's gone. no mother wants that for their child to suffer, but if he goes with you, he will at least have people who will look after him and care for him."

Andressa's expression softens, and she nods understandingly. "I know it's a big ask," she admits, her voice cracking slightly. "But I can't bear the thought of him growing up alone and suffering here. With you both, he'll have a family."

"OK, we'll take him."Andressa's face lights up with relief and gratitude. "Thank you," she whispers, pressing a gentle kiss to the baby's forehead before placing him carefully in Marcy's arms. "He'll need special care on Earth, you know. His aging will be different there."

"Yeah, but I'm pretty sure we can handle him Andressa is a ship ready for us to leave."

Andressa nods, wiping away tears as she leads them to the launch pad. The entire palace has gathered to say goodbye, their faces solemn but hopeful. As they board the ship, Marcy looks down at her sleeping brother, her heart swelling with love and responsibility.

The ship streaks through the cosmos. Inside, Marcy rocks the baby gently while Max watches over them both. Several days pass before Earth finally comes into view, a beautiful blue marble against the void of space.

Once they touch down at the GDA headquarters, Cecil is already waiting, having received notice of their arrival.

"Marcy! Max!" Cecil greets them warmly, his eyes widening slightly as he notices the bundle in Marcy's arms. "And... who is this little guy?" he asks, his voice softening as he leans in to get a better look at the sleeping baby.

"Marcy's little brother Give us a second will be right back." Max placed his hand on Marcy's shoulder and they teleported to the island where the Adam Eve, Amanda,Victoria,Boa Hancock, Nico Robin, Nami, Alvida,Tsunade, Kaguya and Debbie Grayson were talking about something.

Gasps echo through the group as the women process this revelation. Amanda's eyes widen, Victoria looks impressed, and Boa Hancock's expression softens. Tsunade whistles lowly, while Kaguya tilts her head thoughtfully. Nico Robin and Nami share a knowing look, and Alvida grins mischievously.

"So, let me get this straight," Tsunade says, crossing her arms. "This little guy is Omni-man's son, and now Marcy's little brother?" Marcy nods, bouncing the baby gently. "And technically, our stepson," Debbie confirms, smiling warmly at the baby.

"Unfortunately, no he ages faster than human babies so he won't be a baby for long maybe 2 or three months."

"So we have a limited time to spoil him rotten before he starts running around and getting into mischief." The women share knowing glances, already planning how they'll dote on the baby while they can.

"Well, since he's technically our stepson too, we might as well start getting to know him," Debbie suggests, reaching out to gently tickle the baby's chin. "What's his name?" The group eagerly awaits Marcy's response.

"He doesn't have one."

"Aww, that's perfect!" Amanda exclaims. "We get to name our stepson! This is so exciting." The women all start throwing out name suggestions, their voices gentle and loving as they debate possibilities.

"How about we name him Oliver."

"Oliver," Tsunade tries the name out, smiling softly. "I like that. It's strong but gentle." The other women nod in agreement, charmed by the name. "Oliver it is!"

With the baby's name decided, the women gather around Marcy, cooing and cuddling little Oliver. Debbie gently takes him from Marcy's arms to hold him against her chest. "Welcome to the family, Oliver," she murmurs, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead.

"He's so tiny and perfect," Nami says, carefully running a finger along Oliver's cheek. The baby makes a cute cooing noise, making all the women smile even more. Alvida picks up Oliver next, bouncing him gently on her hip. "I can already tell he's gonna be trouble."

"I'll bet he gets into all kinds of mischief," Amanda laughs, already imagining their little stepson's future adventures. "But we'll teach him right from wrong. He'll be a good boy." The baby giggles in Alvida's arms, reaching out a tiny hand to grab at her hair. "Aww, he likes me!" The women all coo and laugh together.

"We're gonna spoil this baby rotten," Victoria laughs, pulling everyone into a group hug. "He's got so many aunts already!" The other women chorus their agreement, the baby laughing in the middle of the hug. Suddenly, an idea comes to Boa Hancock.

"You know, we should probably start thinking about baby proofing the island. This little guy's gonna be crawling and walking before we know it," she says, looking around at the group. "And we'll need to make sure he's safe around all our... unique abilities." The others nod thoughtfully.

"Also," Nico Robin adds, her voice thoughtful but gentle. "We should probably start teaching him some basics early. Like his colors, shapes, and maybe even a few words. He might develop faster than human babies, but he'll still need that foundation."

The women all agree, already planning out how they'll raise little Oliver together. Meanwhile, Max watches the scene with a small smile.

The next day, the island is completely transformed. Every sharp corner is covered, every fragile item is out of reach, and every doorway has a baby gate. The women have even installed a special monitor system that can detect Oliver's unique energy signature, alerting them immediately if he wanders off.

The women take turns feeding Oliver, carefully pre-chewing his food and watching as he eagerly eats. "Look at this little bugsy," Amanda coos, tickling his chin. "He's eating like a champ." Victoria smiles softly, "He's growing so fast."

At the GDA, Max pushes Marcy to her limits in combat training. She's fast and agile, but her Viltrumite strength and durability are lacking compared to other Viltrumites. Max watches intently as she struggles against a training bot, her blows barely leaving a scratch.
