The moment my words fell, the hall went completely silent, no one reacted at first, thinking that i might be cracking a joke here or something, i released my aura and it was enough to affect those week mind elders enough to force 4 or 5 of them to began raising their hands in favor .

The family head sudden words awoken all the people present from their in trance, the first one to react aggressively was none other than the heir to the family, the guy named Loger was about to jump at me, but he was stopped by the strong hand of his father holding him in place and not letting go in the slightest .
Loger looked at his father with a bewildered expression as if wondering why was he being stopped and what's with the concerned expression on his father face, but after looking towards his father, all he got as a response with his father looking at me and probably goosebumps of what might happen if he allowed his son to break free and then he turned to look at his son and shook his head decisively .
It wasn't an exaggeration to say that the one who was surprised the most was none other than Loger, I believe that he was reckoning this to be the first time he saw his father like this, the apple won't fall from the tree after all, I'm already able to tell that both of them parent and son was quite arrogant and domineering, especially that blonde haired guy named Loger .
My opinion of him was worse than the opinion i had on the Troland kingdom crown prince and that said a lot about his character after considering the fact that i hadn't even know him for a day, the haughty air he had around himself was enough to tell me all that, not to mention the fact that he released a killing intent earlier and wanted to kill me in my sleep .
Seeing his father like this and noticed the weird looks that the elders was giving him, he glared at me and becoming aware that there was no avail in trying to solve this by fighting, he turned his head towards the Family Head and tried to find a more diplomatic solution, he said :
Family Head, this isn't appropriate right, the meeting allow for only one person to be accompanying the family head, that might raise a problem, not to mention that king Devo might think ill intentions of us leading that traitor to him, why he hadn't been handed over to the guards already, we don't want to be on the receiving end of the King's wrath .
Before i even say a word, the family head came to my defense by saying :
We already had discussed between us and found that Young Callen here didn't do anything wrong, he was just trying to enter the city through any means possible, the guards are the ones that were wrong trying to stand in his way without even checking his Mark and identity, so we all came to an agreement to not hand one of us unjustly to the King .

At his name being suddenly mentioned, all the eyes in the hall suddenly turned towards the young guy who was still hiding and quivering behind Elder Loon, but his father suddenly nudged him to answer and he took a step away from the back of his father and he nodded as a response to the family head inquiry .

So there you have it, it's an unofficial meeting, so there would be no need for us to get all worked up in following the protocol to its finest details, so give it a rest already and go see if all the preparations were done .

He was about to say something in refuting, but the family Head gave him no such a chance, instead he exerted a little bit of pressure that seemed to make all those that were present uncomfortable excluding me and surprisingly the guy whose name was Loger, was he that strong, i wonder .
But after glaring at me one last time, he still complied to the Family Head orders and went to check as he was told, the guy seemed to have quite the formidable mental fortitude, i thought after the family head asked him to do such a worthless job, he might begin to throw a tantrum here, but it must be related to him still wanting to continue playing the mannered gentleman role for a bit more .
The moment he got out of the room, i saw that all the people present seemed to sigh in relief, i was able to guess that they were sighing in relief at the fact that no much problem had arise, at least there wasn't a problem that needed them to step in .
I was also able to see some of the guys who raised their hands in favor of me becoming the new heir all sweating and seemed to be somewhat short of breath, probably due to the fact that they had completely discarded the absence of the heir and his father earlier and the latter currently being staring at them with daggers in his eyes, seeing him so frustrated like this and thinking that it might be good chance as any to test the waters, i said loudly staring at the Family Head next to me :
" Why did the Family Head stopped the voting earlier, i was serious about taking interest in the position of Heir to the Family, i believe that I'm better than that guy by quite a large margin, not to mention that it seemed to be a title that would most likely allow me to amass the riches of the whole family for myself .
As i finished talking, i was able to sense that the people in the Hall was conflicated about what to think of my words, some were smiling with a forced smile and other were frowning, some had just blank expressions on their faces, the latter were probably numb due to everything that had happened already .
The Family Head and Draks were one of the people frowning, the latter was even gritting his teeth was no longer able to keep his calm, so he directly began saying :

What a nostalgic feeling this was, the moment he finished saying those words a slap fell on his face, the sound echoed in the silent Hall, it took a few minutes for him to understand what just happened and the time length the other needed to comprehend what just happened was even longer especially for the elders that were now seated back on their chairs at the meeting table .

I didn't even curse .
After gritting his teeth too much that some of them began to shatter, he was able to muster saying those words looking quite aggravated while holding the cheek that just got slapped .

After the second slap sound echoed in the room, the seated elders once again collapsed on the floor while having incredulous expression on all their faces .
Draks face was quite dark and frowning, but this time he didn't utter a word and just covered his other cheek and looked at the Family Head wanting to ask for his help, but he was meant to be disappointed, as he looked in his way, he saw that the family head was acting as if he didn't witness or heard anything at all, completely feigning ignorance about the outrageous incident that just happened and happened twice too, not one time but twice .
The guy eyes bulged like crazy and i thought he was about to die of anger or throw himself at me seeking his own death but in a more straightforward way, but in contrast to my expectations of him, he was able to successfully calm himself and just stood beside the door in a complete silence, but he wasn't disguising the killing intent he had towards me in the slightest, but unless he acted upon it, i can't kill him out of self-defense, sadly .
I turned to look towards the family head and saw that he was still somewhat shaken from all the things that kept on happening around him, i again repeated my question about becoming a family heir, but he was ignoring it on purpose, but i directly appeard in front of him and left him no way out but to answer me, I saw that he had sweat formed on his forehead as he said :
A lot of things had happened today, you are very qualified to demand becoming the Heir, but as i said before, there are a lot of questions still unanswered and a lot of things we need to confirm, but we are currently busy with the upcoming meeting, so i guess you will have to wait until all those matters are dealt with first, why did that idiot Loger take that long .

If there was a best case scenario, then it will probably be to stumble upon the lost heroine and find her before any other demon will, but this was a far fetched scenario, so for now i will focus more on the upcoming meeting and just do my best to find her before they do, but there's one big problem, it's my current identity, whether was she Hana or any of the others heroins, will she even be able to recognize me now .
As i was thinking of that, we already arrived outside the mansion and was in front of a luxurious chariot, that would be our vehicle, i saw that Loger guy talking with someone covered in black, seeing us coming out, he ordered that guy to go away and he did vanished in a smoke .
I was still able to pinpoint his location, he was standing on top of a building in the distance, he seemed to be able to notice me looking at him, he once again disappeared, he reminded me of something that i had completely forgot about, the Spatial bracelet i had on before .
I directly asked the family head about it and he said it was in Loger hands, i didn't wait for him to ask Loger about it, i took a step and appeared in front of that Loger and opened my hands towards him and said :

He first didn't understand what was going on with me appearing suddenly in front of him like that, but after seeing my hand gesture and comprehending what I was asking him to do, he actually chuckled in front of my face and said that he was indeed waiting for me to unlock it for him to check it and shook his hand and two bracelets clashed with one another and made a ringing sound .
Seeing that it was safe i let out a breath of relief and was still extending my hand at him, thinking that he will hand it over to me, then whether i will unlock it for him to check was still debatable, but for now i will receive it first in hands, that bracelet hold lots of techniques that i wanted to see if i could practice them all, so getting it back was a must, but it seemed that the guy in front of me seem to be eyeing the content of the Bracelet as well, since he still removed it from his wrist and was now playing with it in his finger, still not having the slightest intention of handing it over .
Since that was the cast, then i already have understood that i will be getting the Bracelet myself, hand the Bracelet over this instant, loge.. .
The voice of the family head, sounded in both of our ears, but sadly it was a bit too late for that now, i reached towards the Bracelet and just as i was about to touch it with him still unable to react, i suddenly seemed to have run into a barrier of some sort, that barrier was what fended me off .
The moment my nails had crashed with that barrier, sparks were beginning to appear, it was only then did the guy in the barrier reacted to me appearing in front of him with an opened eyed and mouth, but then his shock turned into amusement and he even began to smile playfully, thinking that he was save in that barrier of his, a second later his smile vanished as he sensed the disappearance of the bracelet that he was holding just now .
The barrier of his only needed me to use a little bit more of strength so that it was completely shattered and i was able to reach the bracelet with not much of an issue, leaving the guy flabbergasted and shocked to the core, but it seemed that i built an exaggerating opinion about him in mind, he is more of an idiot than i first believe, seeing me pulling something like that off, he didn't feel threatened at all, instead he began to sneer and yell at me, saying :
Good, very good, you will hand me the content of that bracelet and the method you used to break through my defensive Artifact barrier as well .
I looked at him as if looking at an idiot, then looked back at the still stunned family head and asked if the chariot in front of me was the one that we will be talking, he nodded a bit absent-mindedly and at him nodding, i paid the idiot no mind and just passed by him on my way without giving him even a glance, i entered the chariot and saw that it was indeed quite luxurious, it was similar to the one Silver Wallace had, but much luxurious and much advanced too .
I sat on the comfy couch and heard something drop on the floor quite harshly from outside, i lowered the window and surprisingly saw Loger raising himself from the ground after he got beaten by the Family Head for some reason .
