He sensing someone staring at him looked at me glaring his eyes out at me like i the one who slapped him or something, i saw his cheek burn red and i came to the conclusion that he was slapped by the family head, from the looks of it, he was slapped due to not adhering to the Family Head words earlier about handing me the bracelet .
I paid him no mind and instead checked the Bracelet out to see if there was something missing from it, i only took a look at the content when Ludo handed this to me, but i was able to conclude that nothing was lost from the Bracelet, even though the Bracelet itself functioned in a way that made other people mental power to be unable to break through, it only function on the owned Mental Power, but i still wanted to check .
I saw that the Falling Meteor Sword was still there and was so glad that i wanted to take it out and swing it a few times, but that wasn't possible at the moment, due to me suspecting that this sword identity could be identified by the family head or the other members of the demon race .
After a few seconds later, the two began to enter the chariot, Loger seemed to have regained his composure as he didn't continue to glare at me, probably the family head had advise him against it, his cheek also healed, making me believe that guy's strength was quite profund, but he still wasn't that much of a threat .
The room was completely silent as we began to head towards the palace of the kingdom where the meeting will be, it seemed that this journey will still take a bit of time before we arrive, giving me enough time to get some questions answered, i looked at the family head and said :
" How long have i been sleeping for ? .
You didn't take much, you only slept for a day or so, before you were able to regain your Mana and your consciousness .
I only slept for a day here and was able to refill my Mana Core completely, Ludo was indeed right when he mentioned that the Mana Concentration on the outside world was bad, I feel like if I were to challenge the barrier in my current state i would be able to triumph without much of a problem .
Now that i was reminded of my battle with the barrier, I couldn't help but remember the beams of light that csme out of my eyes and allowed me to control the spear of lightening as i wished to, that power was indeed awesome, is that the power in my eyes, cool .
But what is the conditions and preparations i need to do for it to be activated, i wonder, if it really allowed me to control the Magic of others as i liked, then that would be an awesome power that need to be trained and refined .
I believe that i will also have to find away to increase my Mental power, I'm still feeling a bit off after that activation of my eyes power took its toll on my mental power, i know just the thing, there is a mind nourishing method in this family after all, I'm now quite interested in acquiring it .
As i looked out of the window, i saw that the street were actually quite modern like the ones back in my world, it was a bit outdated now, but no doubt about, the roads looked indeed very similar to the ones back in my previous world, we began to delve deep into the city and my shock continue to grow as well, not only the roads, the clothes of the people in this city were also similar .
The buildings was what really shocked me, i saw that there were restaurants, schools, and even advertising panels hanged on the reason, for some time, i was beginning to think that i might fallen into some kind of illusion or something, but that weren't the case, there were even arcades for games, to this point, were the demon really affected by the development that the heroes brought with them from the other world .
I marveled at the scene in front of me, but what caught my attention was a sudden group of demons that were flying, what surprised me was not their actions, what really caught my attention with the uniform that they were wearing, they wore capes like the one worn by the law enforcement team that i met earlier, i was wondering why did we need to take the chariot instead of flying there, so i asked the elders about it and his answer was .
Only the law enforcement team was allowed to fly inside the city after an incident of some demon going berserk happened, so even though the 13 founding Families were strong, they were still abiding to these sort of rules, as i looked at those guys flying above us, i believed that i could pay them a visit later and ask about what happened with that Ludo and figure his whereabouts .
Were he was delayed to something urgent and he was the currently waiting for me in the agreeable place or was he hiding for me and not wanting to lend me any help, i wonder .
As we were in the chariot, i took a glimpse of a white luxurious chariot similar to our black one suddenly began to lean closer to us, i saw that both the family head and Loger frowning at this happening, as if they were already aware of what was going to happen next, the car that was leaning actually began to clash with ours, the family head issued an order to the chariot to speed up, but the moment it did, the white chariot also picked up on pace, no it seemed that unlike ours that seemed to be at its max speed limit .
The other one still have room to go even faster, i was surprised by the grave expression on the two people in front of me face as the chariot was keep clashing with ours, whatever the material that chariot was made of, it wasn't fracturing even after this many times clashing with ours, but ours wasn't as sturdy, i saw a few fractures begining to appear at the door of the chariot .
I heard both of them cursing the same family in unison, they said :
Curse those guys from the Levern Family .
" I can tell that they seem to have bad blood with the family, so what are we planning to do, are we fighting back or are we going to let him destroy the chariot then ? .
The one who answered me was a sneering Loger, he said :
"We will just have to accept it for the time being, the car won't be destroyed, they will probably stop after we stay unmoved .
The family head just sighed and nodded his head with indignation, he seemed to be finding the whole situation had a bitter taste in his mouth, but he just let it go and just keep sighing after each clash .
They were cool with it, but i wasn't, the moment i stood up from my seat another clash happened, one that almost made the chariot overturned, i was still steady as before even with all the shaking, i opened the door to the chariot and felt that someone was sticking to me all of a sudden, i turned my head and saw that the person holding onto me was the family head .
He kept shaking his head at me as if he was already aware of what i had in mind, seeing me stopping in my tracks, he said :
Just listen to what Loger said, Levern Family is in a direct subordination with King Devo, we don't want to anger him anymore, that is specially for you, we still don't know how will he react to seeing you free and uncuffed, so just get back to your seat and those guys will stop shortly after .
Just as he said this and he thought that i was maybe considering it in mind, they bumped again into us, i was able to finally see that whoever or whatever was inside that chariot was actually laughing, that chariot seemed to be of quite good quality .
I still didn't have any intention to move neither forward nor backwards, i asked the family head who was still sticking to me a question that completely baffled him, but he still answered it, my question was :
" Assuming that you were offered to change this shabby chariot to one that is more, ummm, appropriate, would you be willing to make the trade or will you refuse ? .
The one who answered me was Loger, saying :
Of course we would be more than willing, right family head, but wait this isn't even the time for your stupid assumptions or questions ?.
The family head nodded, indicating that he was agreeing with Loger, that was enough for me as an answer, i removed his hands strapped around my waist and without saying a word, i opened the door just as the other chariot was about to bump into us again, but they were unable to do so this time .
Just as the chariot came into bumping into us, i reached the handles strapped on one of its edges and stopped it from what was it about to do, but that wasn't enough for me, i held the chariot from its handle and throw it in the air, I then asked the family head to stop the chariot, it was a simple ask, but in his ears it sounded like a undisputed command, so he stopped the chariot .
The moment the chariot was thrown into the air, it directly was apprehended by the Law Enforcement Team, they after seeing the chariot, they began to lead it to land back to safety directly, it seemed that those founding Families here have quite the privileges, or maybe that only applied to those from the Levern Family .
Anyway those guys landed back safely on the ground, the moment they landed,the demons on the chariots directly opened the chariot and descended from it, they were coming towards our chariot fuming with blue anger like their skin tone, i already was waiting for them .
4 guys came towards me, they were blue colored, I can't tell whether that was their human form or Demon form, they had scales on their faces and red-eyes, their noses were almost non-existent, but they still have holes like nostrils on their faces, their mouths were currently curved into a smile, enough to let me see the jigsaw like teeth, i couldn't help but associate them with sharks, they had no ears as well .
Instead they had antenna like ants sticking out of their forehead, i have really seen some disturbing creatures in the past few days, but those guys in front of me was the weirdest by far, what worse was the fact that they all seemed to be identical to one another, i can't even tell who was male and who was female out of them, there was one that had a clip on one of her antenna, so she was probably the only female among them .
They were wearing black capes and under them, i can't tell if they wore nothing or were they wearing some kind of deep see colored suits, i really can't tell what is what here, they came fuming in anger and already releasing numerous questions and insults at me, they were saying :
Voice 1 : What were you trying to do, you punny ant .
Voice 2 : this stupid red haired really is courting death .
Voice 3 : which family did you belong to ? .
Voice 4 : .... .
I received all of their insults and looked at the number 4 who had a clip in her antenna, wanting to hear what she have to say as well, but she seemed mute or something, she only kept blinking on me .
I was finally able to tell who is who with these guys talking, voice 1 sounded like a young male voice, voice 2 seemed a bit mature, the third voice was completely old as if already at the death door .
Just as i was about to ask them to hand their chariot peacefully, one of the Law Enforcement Team stepped out in front of me and asked about my identity and the reason to why i broke the traffic laws .
I almost collapsed on the floor, Demons here even have something like that, instead of answering him, i asked :
" What law exactly did i broke ? .
He turned to look at the blue like aliens guys and the owner of an elder voice, said :
He attacked our chariot and was responsible for the throwing of our chariot just now .
Voice 1 : Young Jig, don't get angry over something trifle like that, how many times did i told you that ? .
Voice 3 : sorry elder, i overreacted .
I looked at the scene unfolding and was once again perplexed by all that was going on, not even caring about who is which, the elder was the young kid like voice, the one with an elder like voice was actually young Jig .
At their complain, i saw that the officer or whatever he was called, looked at me with anger and asked his teammates to surround me and again asked who i was and whom family did i belong to, i told him that i was a Dorell family member, he sneered at me probably thinking that i was joking, so i was forced to call the family head to come and confirm this to him .
I kept calling for him to come forward, but it seemed that he was still cowering in the chariot, suddenly one of the blue creatures asked the Law Enforcement Team member to go ahead and kill me, what was even more surprising was the fact that the member didn't even hesitate and together with his comrades, they all began to induce Mana into their swords and came slashing at me, but their attacks never landed, the weird eyes of mine activated just as the swords were coming my way, the swords were no longer able to move an inch .
Instead the swords suddenly flew from the hands of the said law enforcement corps members and in a swift motion, they all stood an inch far from their original owner's necks, one inch more and their necks will be cut .
Sweat began to form on their foreheads, but luckily for them, i had a meeting to catch, so i didn't continue to play with them, in a too much of a shock, the blue colored idiots were watching as i went to their chariot and drove it past them, the Mana Stones needed to use it was even inside the chariot, talk about lucky .
I reached for the other chariot and asked if those guys who was still dumbstruck about seeing me coming with white luxurious chariot to join me, just as that Loger was about to say something, the Family Head told him to shut up and get in the car, he then jumped directly into the car and Loger soon followed, he then stored the other chariot in his ring and we went our way, leaving still held at swordpoint law enforcement corps and still staying stiffly group of blue idiots, and went towards the meeting, leaving the Levern to take care of themselves .
