Fighting the urge to dive into that strange space again and see what kind of transformation will it usher in, some things need to be dealt with, first and it wasn't like I was going to miss out on anything if I were to postpone going back there for a few minutes .
Dorax and Tay came to report that the human girl had woken up, but she was in a chaotic state and was refusing to even eat, the monster in disguise doctor had mentioned that her situation might get worse, since all what she truly suffered from now is the lack of nourishment .
" Didn't you guys gave her the food I asked you to buy ? .
Dorax was the one to say :
We did gave her the food, but she refused to eat it and even with the human doctor insisting on her need to eat, she just continued to act stubborn about it and refuse to take it .
" Have you tried to calm her down by telling her that we weren't with Devo ? .
Tay was the one to answer me this time, saying after she gave a slight nod :
I had taken the liability to address the situation to here, hoping that this would calm her down even if it was slightly, but to no avail, she stared at me with a frown and curled up on the floor and didn't even respond or allowed anyone to get close to her .
Dorax seemed to have witnessed some of what Tay was saying, since he said :
It seem that she had suffered greatly at the hands of king Devo, she even threatened to kill herself, if anyone dare to get close to her, even the human doctor was not exempted from this warning .
After hearing what they had to report, I couldn't help but clenching my fist tightly, but whether was it because I had finished the first chapter of the Mind Nourishing Method, my body and mind seemed to cool down in instant .
I felt something like a fresh breeze released throughout my whole body and seconds later, my whole mood seemed to be more serene, for now the only choice we have is to not take any reckless actions that might end up working against us instead of for us .
I might not be able to help her exact revenge at the moment, but there will be time for that in the near future, but now I need her to recover enough to be able to answer my questions .
From what I heard from both of them, I understood that she was still quite traumatized, why wouldn't be, she just woke up and found Demons like the one who held her captive circling around her .
Even though, they didn't seem to cause her any actual harm, the fact that she was a Human and they were Demons, was already suffice as a more than enough reason to be alarmed, the trauma came to be from the fact that Demons had caused her personally to suffer greatly .
So her reaction was quite justifiable, but it can't be endorse, else it won't only obstruct me from getting anything useful from her, but it will be bad for her own health as well .
" Lead me there .
The two nodded and it didn't take long, before I had finally arrived at the room she was in, she was a few room next to me, I had stayed in the same room with her before, but due to my training, these guys had preferred to transport her to another place where she won't be a nuisance to my training .
They were quite considerate, but I didn't appreciate this gesture from them this time, since it was quite the risky move, if Devo were to launch an attack or if that monster nursing her was indeed working for him and had gotten news about this .
Things could have become quite ugly, I had secured the girl, but if I'm not around to protect and elevate her position in this Demons filled place, I don't think that any of these guys would risk their lives to keep hers, a human, luckily this scenario didn't happen .
I finally reached the room and inside the situation was indeed quite chaotic, the whole room was in shambles, in one corner the so called doctor was evading the items that were being thrown at him by a girl dressed in a black dress and the second she saw the door of the room got opened, she curled up in her own corner of the room .
Stepping into the room right behind the two, Tay and Dorax, I saw her curling up and her breathing seemed quite erratic and rigid, it seem that no matter how small her actions were, it would leave her gasping for breath no matter what .
This was due to how bad her physical state currently was, not to mention her malnourished state that made her unable to do much in her current situation, seeing her acting like this, I couldn't help but feel a bit tightness in my chest, but now wasn't the time to show such emotions not in front of my demon subordinates .
I looked at the doctor and he was indeed as the reports described him as, under my eyes his disguise was meaningless, his real form was indeed a mix of a lizard and a spotted chameleon like monster, but since he hadn't done anything that can be considered dangerous or alarming yet, so I didn't care to deal with him at the moment .
" You all can step out now .
Even though most of them had bewildered expressions on their faces, they still complied, but as the monster doctor passed by me, he seemed to be hesitant about something, then I finally get what he was hesitant about, since he said in a whispering like voice :
Sir, I would like for you to deal with her tenderly, she still recuperating you see .
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at finally understanding what this guy was on about, I gave him a drob dead kind of stare and he was directly pulled out of the room by an angry Tay, it seem that she too had some few words to say to him .
I didn't stop her, since I wanted that guy to be taught a lesson anyway, I just hoped that there will be something left of him after Tay deal with him, just as these guys were about to step out of the room, I recalled something that I seem to have overlooked before and called Dorax and had him hand over the Mana Stones I gave him before .
After confirming that they had indeed left the room, I wanted to understand how was she currently fairing, not taking any sudden or unnecessary steps, I simply said :
" How are you hanging up, Class President ? .
She heard my words and she quivered slightly then her body began to completely shake as she raised her eyes up and met mine, only for her shocked face to turn into a mix of frown and bewilderment at the thing in front of her calling her that, or even knowing about what it meant .
Seeing her like this, I didn't antagonize her for it and why would I even do such a thing, to her naked eyes, the person in front of her wasn't human, but a demon, a Demon who wanted nothing but to torture her, that's indeed how I currently looked like .
Waiting to get an answer out of her seemed to be even more difficult than I initially thought, but at least I made her start to show some interest, since she hadn't dropped her head and hid it between her knees, I could consider my plan to have brought some results .
Now for the next step, I took a step forward and she almost tried to pierce through the wall behind her, wanting to retreat even further from me, seeing her like this, I almost slapped myself for being ignorant, I can see that she is still troubled, so I could have at least asked for her permission first before moving suddenly like this .
Raising both my hands up in the air in resignation motion, I said :
" Don't get nervous, I swear that no one here would dare to do you any harm, I don't know if you had realized this yet or not, but I used to be your classmate, I even know that you were acting as a school council president for a bit, so don't be so anxious, okay, I want just to have a taste of that food and that's all .
Her shock only increased a bit more and her breathing quickened, her weak heart began to beat strongly as if it wanted to escape out of her chest, with my senses it was so strong that it felt like someone was playing drums in my ears, it was quite weird feeling .
But her face only grow even paler, I didn't know what was she thinking exactly, but her face showed a solemn expression as she kept trying to say something, but with dry throat and such pitiful state, she was only able to muster saying 1 or two letters each time, she was saying :
T...R...AI...TO...R, TR.....AIT.....OR .
Traitor!!!, what did she mean by that and why the confusion on his face disappeared and was replaced by resentment, is she referring to me or was she just complaining about me becoming a demon, or maybe it had nothing to do with me and instead it everything to do with her and what brought her to her current state situation, what in the world could have happened with her .
I was about to take another step forward, but the idea was instantly propelled by me, instead I continued to say in my original place :
" I don't have a clue about what you are talking about, I could introduce myself to you, but at your current state, I'm afraid that you might be in danger with your current weak state .
" Can you at least share a meal with me, after that we will come clean to one another, I don't know whether you can actually believe me or not, but think about this logically, if I wished to harm you, then I would have handed you back to Devo when he came asking me to hand you over .
" But her you are and here I'm, a lot of things happened to let this meeting even happen and I don't want to see a classmate continue to suffer in front of me, so I hope that you will come and join me .
While I was saying this and had her trying hard to comprehend what I was saying, I was taking one step after another and had finally sat on the food table that they had been prepared, I wanted to go and extend my hand to her, but I doubt that this would have made her look more favourably at me .
So for now, this should do, after a few minutes seemed to pass in silent, without her showing any intention of moving or even replying to me, I couldn't help but try to make her open up to me through another method .
I picked up one of the spoons on the table and started serving myself some food, the table was wide enough to bear me, else it would have looked quite comical, if I were to set on a table suitable for only humans, since I was already huge even in my semi human form .
After taking a seat, I started to get a few spoons of the dishes in front of me while saying :
" Woah, this food is actually delicious, it's not as good as Ramen or hot sauce Curry, but I could see it come close to Okonomiyaki, you truly should give it a try .
There was still no response for a few more seconds there, then there was finally some reaction, her stomach churned as if betraying her, her cheekbones were already prominent and her breathing quickened again as she sniffed the smell of food, but she just blushed and kept showing some restraint, seeing her like this, I couldn't help but start to have a headache .
" Hey, what's your deal, Sora-senpai ? .
" If you are afraid that the food might be poisonous, I don't know if you should feel more at ease now since I ate from the same plate you might have eaten from, so what's the problem ? .
" Why are you not willing to eat and why do you think that by not eating, you would make things easier for you, well, just by looking at your current state, I can tell that it doesn't .
" If you are worried about being indebted to your enemy, well, I'm not an enemy, I don't think that I had done anything to make me even look like one, so why are you making this situation difficult for both you and me .
" I want to know something from you, this is indeed an undeniable truth, but I wanted to know is important, since it might help me save the life of somone I hold dear .

Seconds ticked by and she seemed to be in daze thinking about whether my words were indeed the truth or was I trying to plot something, but fortunately in the end she made up her mind and decided to trust me .
At least regarding the food, she stood up from the ground and took a seat on the chair opposite to me and with slow movement at first she began tasting the food .
Just by seeing her falling into bliss like expression, I was able to tell that she was most likely enjoying every part of it, it seem that she had truly been starving for quite some times, the scene of that hard piece of bread that she was munching on surfaced on my mind and I couldn't help but find myself clenching my fist again .
I had accidentally broken the cup in my hand and that almost made her jumb out of fright, it took some time to calm her, but she finally seemed to be starting to get better and more open to me .
She kept eating for straight 3 hours, I thought at some point her stomach will no longer be able to take it, but her body seemed more starving for the nourishment brought by food and drinks than I first suspected, so I decided that for now, it was better to let her have her fun .
