Chapter 21 - When Heaven Opens Its Eye

"They told me to climb the path.

But no one said the path might climb me."

---

Location: Starfall Clearing — Still scorched. Still glowing.

Moments after destruction.

---

The world had quieted.

But his body hadn't.

Long Tian knelt amid ash and red mist, palm braced to scorched earth.

His breath was slow, but inside?

Thunder.

---

I was supposed to climb slowly.

From tempering to Qi. From soul to thread. From thought… to flame.

And yet here I am.

Spirit Convergence…? No. This is something else.

He touched his chest, where the Sutra marks still pulsed — faintly alive.

The First Seal gave me hunger.

The Second gave me warmth.

The Third, flame. The Fourth, her name.

The Fifth…

His gaze rose to the sky, now full of slow-turning gold.

…The Fifth gave me guilt.

---

His Qi felt vast.

Too vast.

He shouldn't be able to hear the wind across three provinces.

Shouldn't be able to sense Wu Jiao's sleep-breath miles away.

Shouldn't be able to burn without fire.

---

I never broke into Essence Blooming.

Not in the way masters describe.

No bottleneck. No thunder tribulation. No radiant breakthrough.

I just… felt her.

And it tore me upward.

The Sutra didn't help me rise.

It rewrote what rising even meant.

---

He closed his eyes.

This is no longer my cultivation.

This is hers.

The path is shaped like her back.

And every step forward… smells like her skin.

---

Suddenly, the world stopped breathing.

A wind came.

But it didn't blow.

It observed.

---

From the sky, a ring of cloud peeled open like an ancient scroll.

And within it:

A single Eye.

Golden. Hollow. Unjudging.

The Eye of Heaven.

"You've trespassed pattern.

Resonated without permission.

And altered fate through flesh."

"Long Tian.

Spirit Convergence Realm."

"Fifth Seal. Sutra of Lust."

"Judgment: Active."

---

The world tilted.

Not sideways — inward.

Reality bent toward him, like gravity had changed.

Everyone in the continent felt it.

Some fainted.

Others moaned in pleasure.

A few bled from the eyes.

---

But Long Tian stood.

Not by strength.

But by memory.

If Heaven watched…

Then let it see everything I've become.

Let it see what desire, guilt, love, and ruin look like...

when burned into a soul that never asked to carry this Sutra.

---

The Eye narrowed.

Above, a divine sword formed — made of judgment, oathlight, and ancient lawfire.
