Chapter 751 - Settling the Score with Qingyun Sect

In the middle of the crowd, Song Wanníng's true body slipped in with the system. She had made a small disguise, just enough that the Yao Clan disciples couldn't recognize her.

The system watched her clone screaming so arrogantly that it almost burst from anger. "She's lost her mind? Is she trying to kill every last person from the Yao Clan?"

"You're really cruel. Aren't you afraid that if you pile up too much karma, the Heavens will strike you with thunder?"

It was panicking. These people were all descendants it had created. If they all died here, its energy would suffer a massive blow. That was something it absolutely couldn't allow.

But Song Wanníng only enjoyed watching it stomp in rage, smiling happily.

"What's wrong? Aren't you a system? Aren't you supposed to help people reach the peak of their lives? You can't even handle something this small?

Useless…"

Her words stabbed straight into the system's weakest spot.

"Song Wanníng, you should feel honored that I chose you. Don't throw away the face I'm giving you!"

It snapped completely. For days, it had tried to brainwash Song Wanníng, telling her how great her future would be once she fully embraced the system.

But Song Wanníng refused to listen no matter what it said. It was already furious, and now she even dared to mock it like this. She had to be insane.

"Already panicking?"

Song Wanníng curved her lips, her eyes carrying a deep, unreadable meaning.

"Just wait. When those people die later, that'll be when you really panic. What can you do though? All you can do is watch… hahaha…"

Her soft laugh rippled through the air. At this moment, it sounded like the tolling of a death bell, making the system's heart shake violently.

It tried to break free from Song Wanníng's restraints, but she had prepared for this. The space around them was filled with the aura of thunder seeds. If it moved even a little, it would get struck by thunder. There was no escape.

The system cursed in frustration. It had been lecturing her about divine punishment by thunder, yet this woman turned out to control thunder herself.

It was done for.

Its heart sank to the bottom. If it didn't handle this well, it would definitely take a huge loss this time.

"Patriarch Yao, don't you dare slander us without proof. When has Qingyun Sect ever robbed the Dragon Clan? And when have we ever killed your Second Elder?"

"If you have evidence, show it. Otherwise, please leave. Don't embarrass yourselves in front of everyone."

The Sect Master of Qingyun Sect stared at her with a warning in his eyes. Rage burned through him.

This Yao Clan Patriarch actually had the guts to point her finger at them and curse them out.

More than a dozen ways to deal with the Yao Clan flashed through his mind, but none of them could be used openly. They would have to be handled in the dark.

Once the Sect Master spoke, the Yao Clan disciples immediately wanted to leave.

His aura was simply overwhelming. They couldn't compare at all.

But Song Wanníng wasn't about to let things end here. She let out a cold snort.

"Evidence? I barely survived that day. Where would I have found the time to gather evidence? Or is it that Qingyun Sect dares to do evil but doesn't dare to admit it?"

Her aura grew even more dangerous. She stared straight at the Sect Master without a shred of fear.

"The Second Elder died protecting me. She was killed by Qingyun Sect's cultivators. Just because your sect is powerful, you think you can steal other people's resources and kill whoever you want?

Today, I'll get justice for the Second Elder!"

Her grief filled the air, and many people around them felt their hearts tighten in sympathy.

They whispered among themselves, praising the Yao Clan for having backbone. Even in front of Qingyun Sect, they didn't back down and insisted on standing up for their fallen elder.

People's view of the Yao Clan improved, and soft murmurs of approval filled the crowd.

Hearing others praise their loyalty and courage, the Yao Clan disciples straightened their backs even more. With so many cultivators watching, Qingyun Sect wouldn't dare act recklessly.

For the first time, confidence surged through their chests, and fear disappeared from their eyes. So what if the Qingyun Sect was powerful?

They still cared about their public reputation. If they acted without restraint, where would they recruit talented disciples in the future?

This change in attitude didn't escape the Sect Master's eyes, and it only fueled his rage.

"Patriarch Yao, are you deaf? If you have proof, show it. If you don't, don't blame us for what happens next!"

The elders of Qingyun Sect were angry as well. They all accused Song Wanníng of spouting nonsense.

But Song Wanníng truly didn't have evidence. If she did, she would've already nailed Qingyun Sect to the wall with it.

Her unreasonable accusations left the Qingyun Sect disciples furious. Their faces burned red and their hands itched to stab her a few times.

Soon enough, the Yao Clan disciples and the Qingyun Sect disciples were shouting at each other, demanding that they return the Dragon Clan and hand over the murderer.

They looked pretty fierce.

Song Wanníng smiled faintly, pleased with their performance.

The angrier the Qingyun Sect disciples got, the less hesitation there would be when blades finally clashed.

Right?

She gave the Sect Master a meaningful look and smiled provocatively.

Her expression seemed to say: So what if I'm making things up?If you have the guts, kill me.

The blatant provocation made the Sect Master's veins bulge. He wanted nothing more than to cut her down on the spot.

But with so many people around, he couldn't make a reckless move. He could only grit his teeth and roar, "Patriarch Yao, you keep shouting for me to hand someone over. Who exactly do you think I should hand over?

And the Dragon Clan, we haven't seen them at all. If you keep being stubborn, don't blame me for what comes next!"

Even the best temper wouldn't survive her antics. Besides, the Yao Clan was far too insolent. If they pushed him any further, so what if he killed one or two of them?

He had already given her several chances.

A cold light flashed in his eyes. If she insisted on this path, he would make sure she paid for her reckless mouth. Even if she didn't die, she would be crippled.

But Song Wanníng wanted exactly that outcome. Why would she ever back down?

Instead, she raised her voice.

"So Qingyun Sect really is going to bully others. How disgusting. Are our lives worthless to you? It's outrageous!

I'll give you one last chance. Are you handing them over or not? If not, don't blame me for what happens next!"

Her arrogance made every Qingyun Sect cultivator so angry they could barely breathe.

The Sect Master's expression darkened completely. Just as he opened his mouth, Patriarch Yao suddenly charged at them.

The disciples of the Yao Clan, who had been prepared to support her from behind, froze for a moment. Then they shouted, "Patriarch!"

They came to demand justice, not start a full battle. A bad feeling surged through all of them.

Sure enough, the Qingyun Sect disciples had already run out of patience.
