Chapter 752 - Borrowing a Knife to Kill

The Yao clan was acting so arrogant, there was no way anyone could hold back anymore.

When Song Wanníng charged forward, the crowd behind her roared and rushed in as well.

Seeing this scene, the Yao clan disciples froze. Their hearts sank and they instinctively wanted to run. But their Patriarch was already charging ahead. They couldn't run. They wouldn't be able to escape anyway.

In this moment, the Yao clan disciples were like fish on a chopping block. They had no other choice.

So both sides clashed in an instant.

None of the surrounding cultivators expected a fight to break out, so they hurriedly backed away while pointing and whispering.

No one thought the Yao clan was loyal anymore, they only thought the clan was stupid. Did they really think they could shake the Qingyun Sect?

If they started fighting, how were they supposed to negotiate?

Wasn't this just asking to die?

Everyone believed the battle would end quickly. The Qingyun Sect would probably teach the Yao clan a lesson, but no one thought the sect would truly wipe them out.

Yet the next second, they heard Song Wanníng roar, her voice shaking the sky.

"Qingyun Sect trash, either I die today or you all die! If you don't hand the person over right now, I'll destroy the Qingyun Sect!"

Her bold threat stunned everyone.

"Wait, is she insane? Did anger fry her brain?"

"What did she say? Destroy the Qingyun Sect?"

The immortals watching all doubted their ears.

But once they confirmed those insane words really came from the Yao clan's Patriarch, the crowd started mocking even louder.

The Yao clan disciples almost wanted to jump up and cover their Patriarch's mouth.

Had the Patriarch lost her mind? Why was she spouting nonsense?

They never had that idea. Not from the beginning, not ever. They had only come to demand the return of the dragon clan member.

But the Qingyun Sect disciples took every word seriously.

The Qingyun Sect sect master's expression turned icy. If people were openly talking about exterminating their sect and he still acted hesitant, wouldn't they become the biggest joke in the Cultivation Realm?

Anyone would stomp on them afterward.

Fine then. Since the Yao clan wanted to die, he'd send them on their way. He'd show everyone the price of provoking the Qingyun Sect.

The sect master's gaze sharpened. His voice boomed, "The Yao clan has gone too far. Kill them! Leave none alive!"

As soon as the order dropped, the Qingyun Sect disciples became fired up.

"I've wanted to do this for a long time. What do you Yao clan nobodies think you are, coming here to destroy our sect!"

"Kill!"

The Qingyun Sect disciples no longer held back. Their killing intent flooded the battlefield as they rushed at the Yao clan.

In an instant, the Yao clan completely panicked.

"Patriarch…"

They looked helplessly at their leader, only to see her charging right at the front, stabbing the closest Qingyun Sect disciple straight through.

A Qingyun Sect disciple was wounded.

Now they had really kicked a hornet's nest.

The already enraged disciples of the Qingyun Sect snapped completely. They attacked the Yao clan like madmen.

The Yao clan had no choice but to fight back with everything they had.

The battlefield erupted into chaos.

Yao clan disciples were injured one after another. Miserable screams echoed endlessly.

Song Wanníng was clever. Her cultivation was weak so she kept slipping around using spatial folding to dodge every attack.

She even used Qingyun Sect disciples as shields, forcing the sect master and elders to hesitate.

They tried to suppress her with their pressure but it barely affected her.

That only made them angrier. Their attacks grew more ruthless and they occasionally struck their own Yao clan targets by accident.

Very soon, Yao clan disciples began to die. Their eyes turned red with madness. If they couldn't escape, they might as well fight to the end.

But the Qingyun Sect had too many high level disciples. It was nearly a one sided massacre. No matter how they resisted, the outcome wouldn't change.

The surrounding immortals had already predicted the end and sighed. Who would've imagined the Yao clan would meet destruction like this.

Hidden in the crowd, the system was cursing nonstop. It never expected Song Wanníng to be this ruthless.

"You're a demon. This is dozens of lives! How can you be this cruel?"

The system had underestimated Song Wanníng's ruthlessness and her determination. Now, it felt its own energy draining and panic rose in its heart.

"Stop, make them stop! Or you'll regret it! Stop right now!"

The system was hysterical.

Song Wanníng noticed and surprise flickered in her eyes. She'd only planned to wipe out the offspring of the invaders, but she didn't expect this pleasant surprise.

The system's aura was weakening. "So this was how to deal with it."

Song Wanníng's smile deepened. Watching the system break down made her mood soar. As for the karma the system mentioned, she wasn't worried. Everyone here was killing together. The karma wouldn't land on her alone.

Besides, she carried so much merit, why would she fear anything?

Since the system couldn't threaten her, it tried coaxing her. When that failed, it even started begging.

Song Wanníng ignored all of it. Nothing could shake her resolve. Eliminating the invader had already become her mission. No matter what the system said, it could never change the outcome.

The system tried every method it had. Its panic grew. It kept trying to break free and save someone. Even binding to any one disciple would do, as long as a sliver of bloodline survived.

But divine thunder constantly circled the area and the system's metallic body couldn't escape. The moment it moved, the thunder struck it, making its entire form convulse.

Outside, the Yao clan disciples fell one after another. Blood and limbs scattered everywhere. The wails were heartbreaking.

The immortals' expressions turned solemn. No one was mocking anymore.

The scene was simply too tragic.

Yet the Patriarch didn't retreat. Instead of telling her disciples to flee, she kept shouting more provocative words, enraging the Qingyun Sect even further.

Because of this, the Yao clan suffered an even fiercer onslaught. Soon, almost none of them were left.

Song Wanníng was also injured. No matter how well she dodged, her cultivation was too low to fight the sect master and elders.

But she kept swallowing pills nonstop and endured, only so she could personally witness the fall of the last Yao clan disciple.

Finally, after a flash of intense light, the final Yao clan disciple died unwillingly under a Qingyun Sect disciple's sword.

Everyone turned toward Song Wanníng, assuming she'd suffer a miserable end next. But her expression shifted. In the next breath she activated her spatial rune. She had prepared the coordinates beforehand, not far from the Qingyun Sect.

In the blink of an eye, she slipped out of their attacks and vanished.

The Qingyun Sect disciples' expressions changed. They immediately gave chase.
