"Sasuke," Itachi said, "how do you feel?"
"Better than ever, Brother!"
Sasuke inhaled deeply—then turned to Naruto.
"Naruto—fight me!"
Naruto looked helplessly toward Kitazawa.
This version of Sasuke… was definitely not the same as before.
"You fight him," Kitazawa said with a nod.
"Be careful, Sasuke," Naruto warned as he stepped forward.
"Hmph. You still don't understand the power of the Three-Tomoe Sharingan," Sasuke sneered, lifting a finger. "To defeat you, I only need one jutsu."
"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Naruto shouted as hundreds of clones burst into existence.
"Pointless."
Sasuke's hands blurred.
Lightning Release: Chidori Nagashi.
A surge of black lightning erupted from his body—rolling outward in violent waves.
"What—?!" Naruto leapt back as his entire clone army screamed and evaporated into smoke.
"Impossible…" Neji's eyes widened.
"Sasuke's chakra is far greater than before," Hinata said, Byakugan flaring.
Naruto landed and immediately retaliated.
"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Both rows of clones formed up.
"Wind Release: Gale Palm!"
A storm blasted forward.
"Wind Release: Shuriken!"
Dozens of wind-shrouded shuriken launched with terrifying speed, riding the roaring gale.
"All meaningless!"
Sasuke lunged, thunder-god blade in hand, lightning swirling around him like a nest of serpents.
He weaved through the airborne blades with contemptuous ease; the storm bent and warped around him, repelled by the violent chakra crackling over his skin.
He tore into Naruto's clones, each strike detonating them into clouds of smoke.
Bang. Bang. Bang.
"Pathetic, Naruto!" Sasuke roared. "You're so weak it's laughable!"
Naruto inhaled sharply, sensing something was deeply wrong.
"That's not Sasuke!"
"If I'm not Sasuke," Sasuke smiled sharply, "then who is?"
Naruto froze.
"Sasuke's never smiled like that before…"
"Naruto," Itachi said, suddenly appearing in front of him, "step back. I'll handle this."
He had already understood—this was not merely Sasuke with awakened eyes.
Satori's presence was controlling him.
"Brother?" Sasuke scoffed. "Even you—I can defeat now."
"You are not Sasuke," Itachi said calmly.
"Are you afraid you'll lose to your little brother?" Sasuke taunted, lips curling.
Itachi didn't answer. Instead, he raised one hand. —
Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!
Flames burst forth, roaring toward Sasuke.
Sasuke sidestepped, flashed in front of Itachi, and slashed down with the thunder-god blade.
Itachi exploded into crows.
Heat filled the air.
Sasuke spun and saw countless fireballs blooming around him—like a lotus of flame.
He slipped between each one with unnatural precision.
Itachi's eyes narrowed.
Under normal circumstances, he shouldn't dodge my Phoenix Sage Flower so easily.
He recalled Naruto's earlier attack—the impossible way Sasuke dodged dozens of wind-enhanced shuriken.
Satori… a Yin Release monster. Its ability must be tied to Yin—emotion, perception…
Suddenly—
A sharp, piercing chirp cut through the air.
Lightning Release: Chidori Senbon!
Sasuke flicked his wrist; lightning exploded into countless needle-thin bolts.
Itachi dissolved into crows once more.
A single crow flew forward—
Boom!
It detonated, swallowing the lightning storm into the explosion.
Sasuke pivoted, searching for Itachi—
And turned straight into his brother's gaze.
Demonic Illusion—Shackling Stakes Technique.
Itachi's Sharingan throbbed. A wave of mental force slammed into Sasuke.
Sasuke froze—but only for an instant before he snapped free and stabbed forward at Itachi's heart.
Itachi sidestepped smoothly.
As expected.
Sasuke shouldn't be able to break his genjutsu instantly—unless a foreign will was inside him.
Meaning only one thing:
Satori was inside Sasuke.
More importantly—
Itachi's deduction clicked into place.
Satori could read intentions—emotions.
Any killing intent or aggression allowed it to anticipate attacks.
Only a mind empty of desires could land a hit.
There was only one technique Itachi possessed that allowed absolute mental dominance.
His eyes shifted.
The tomoe spun—twisting, merging—until a pinwheel pattern appeared.
Mangekyō Sharingan.
If Hiruzen or Danzō still ruled Konoha, he would never dare to reveal this eye.
But now, under Tsunade and Kitazawa, the Uchiha finally stood tall.
He trusted them.
He had waited a long time for the right moment.
Sasuke stopped instantly—locked in the Mangekyō's grasp.
Inside Sasuke's mind, Satori suddenly sensed immense danger.
The suffocating Yin chakra inside Sasuke surged—
Run.
It abandoned Sasuke's body and fled.
Sasuke screamed—a sharp, tearing cry.
As black chakra ripped out from his body like a geyser of smoke.
The wind howled.
Wings—massive, black, grotesque—unfurled like a shadow blotting out the sky.
The creature that emerged was covered in coarse dark fur, its eyes hollow, its form twisted—
Satori had finally revealed itself.
This grotesque creature was a massive, misshapen beast whose body was wildly disproportionate.
It had no proper head; instead, its skull fused seamlessly into a swollen abdomen.
Wings sprouted from the back of that distorted head, while its torso remained disturbingly thin, supported by huge, hulking limbs.
It was a nightmare given form.
Itachi immediately rushed to Sasuke's side.
A quick inspection made him exhale in relief—Sasuke had only fainted from the violent Chakra extraction. His life wasn't in danger.
More importantly, the oppressive aura he emitted earlier had plummeted—like falling from Jōnin level straight back to Chūnin.
"ROOOOAAR!"
Satori's shriek split the air as a deluge of black Yin Chakra poured down toward Itachi and the unconscious Sasuke.
Water Release: Water Formation Wall!
Kitazawa's hands blurred, summoning a massive water barrier.
Itachi grabbed Sasuke and retreated instantly.
With a thunderous crack, the water wall shattered—the black Chakra curved midair, redirecting toward Kitazawa.
Wind Release: Great Vacuum Sphere!
Kitazawa leaned back and exhaled a compressed sphere of wind.
It detonated forward, scattering the Yin Chakra like dust in a hurricane.
Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique!
A casual flick of Kitazawa's wrist sent a storm of multiplied shuriken up toward Satori.
"It—"
Itachi turned to warn Naruto and the others about Satori's ability to sense emotion-driven attacks, but froze.
The shuriken actually hit.
Satori tried to twist away with frantic wingbeats, yet Kitazawa's attack still found its mark.
Blades peppered its hide, causing howls of pain—even if they failed to truly injure the creature.
Itachi blinked, genuinely startled.
Then he remembered: if he could decipher Satori's ability, Kitazawa certainly could.
Satori roared again, enraged.
"Its defenses are extremely high," Itachi commented as he flickered to Kitazawa's side.
"Yin Release construct. Technically immortal," Kitazawa replied. His hands rose again.
"But not uncuttable."
Water Release: Water Severing Wave!
A lance of hyper-compressed water erupted like a spear.
It punched clean through Satori's wing—
then sharpened further into a blade and carved downward.
The massive wing sliced off completely.
A shriek of agony tore from the monster as it spiraled and crashed to the ground, grounded and crippled.
Itachi stared, dumbstruck.
He had just explained how sturdy Satori was, and Kitazawa had immediately severed a limb with a single jutsu.
What kind of Water Release is that?
Even my Susanoo might not withstand it…
"It recovers fast," Kitazawa noted calmly. His hands flashed again.
Lightning Release: Kirin.
The clouds exploded overhead.
Blinding lightning coalesced into the form of a celestial beast.
Satori sensed imminent death.
Its shredded wing regenerated instantly—it bolted toward Kitazawa in a panic.
Too late.
With a deafening roar, the Kirin thundered down.
The strike completely engulfed Satori.
Neji stood frozen. "What… what kind of Lightning Release was that…?"
"So cool!" Naruto shouted, eyes sparkling.
Even Hinata could only nod wordlessly.
When the lightning dispersed, Satori was half-charred and mangled—but its black Yin Chakra began knitting its flesh back together at alarming speed.
Satori rose again, hate blazing in its distorted form.
"Let me try," Itachi said quietly.
Amaterasu.
Black flames erupted across Satori's body.
The beast shrieked and thrashed, rolling and flapping uselessly—
but the flames clung, unyielding, spreading across the battlefield like a sea of darkness.
Itachi exhaled slightly. "It's working…"
Just then—
The box of Paradise trembled violently.
Thick black smoke billowed from the mouths of its four carved faces, blanketing Satori.
The Amaterasu flames faltered—still burning, but unable to spread.
And even the scorched sections of Satori began to regenerate.
Itachi's eyes narrowed. This was trouble.
"You restrain it. I'll seal it," Kitazawa said, already pulling out a special sealing scroll.
Itachi hesitated—but only for a heartbeat.
Kitazawa had known about the Mangekyō Sharingan the moment he saw it.
Of course he did.
He was Tsunade's student, a Konoha high official.
There was nothing strange about him being aware.
Susanoo.
Crimson chakra surged skyward.
A half-bodied giant formed—armor-like chakra plating over ethereal muscle, glaring down with a wrath that shook the earth.
Susanoo clamped both massive hands on Satori, slamming it into the ground.
The monster screamed and unleashed a catastrophic torrent of black Chakra—
Boom!
The impact dented Susanoo's armor.
Itachi grunted, but the giant held firm, pinning Satori despite the onslaught.
Four Symbols Seal!
Kitazawa's curse marks erupted outward, wrapping Satori's entire body.
Sensing mortal danger, Satori hurled its remaining Yin Chakra at Kitazawa—
Yata Mirror.
A radiant red shield unfolded before him, deflecting everything.
The sealing scroll unfurled on its own.
Chakra surged out, swallowing the monster whole.
Satori let out a final, despairing cry—and vanished.
Kitazawa added another full Four Symbols Seal for safety.
Two layers—equal in principle to an Eight Trigrams Seal—were more than enough.
Satori wasn't a Tailed Beast; it couldn't break such restraints.
The scroll tightened shut.
Behind them, the box of Paradise slammed closed, its four masks returning to stillness.
"Is… is it over?" Neji asked, stunned.
Naruto stared in awe. "Sasuke's brother is insane! That was amazing!"
"Kitazawa-sensei too…" Hinata whispered, eyes wide.
Itachi dismissed Susanoo and walked over, uncertain whether to speak.
But Kitazawa didn't question him—only nodded with tacit understanding.
They moved to Sasuke.
Kitazawa pressed a glowing hand to his forehead.
Gentle green light flowed in.
Sasuke's eyes fluttered open.
He sat up—then froze.
He remembered everything.
Not just the fights…
but the things he shouted at Naruto—and at Itachi.
His face flushed scarlet on the spot.
He turned his head away, mortified.
A faint, gloomy aura rippled over him—and his three-tomoe Sharingan bloomed in both eyes.
Kitazawa sensed it instantly.
He didn't know whether the Sharingan awakened because of the box of Paradise—
or because Sasuke was drowning in guilt toward Naruto and Itachi.
But either way—His system mission was complete.
