Looking at the tall gigantic building in front of her ,her joy knew no bound,never could she ever have thought of getting the job ,she only tried applying for the interview,but here she was today .Still in her trance ,her phone beeped ,opening the chat ,she saw it was a message from Eva . "I'm rooting for you bestie ,you can do it",Eva wrote accompanied with a love emoji.
Thank you my love ,I'm so overjoyed ,she replied her chat".see you later ,love you always pookie,she typed, ending the chat as she placed her cellphone in the black bag that hunged perfectly on her slender shoulder .
Entering into the building,she was awed by her surroundings ,the interior view had been changed from what she had saw last ,when she came for the interview .
Making her way to where the receptionist stood .Hi…she greeted.How may I help you ,the receptionist questioned raising her gaze.
Ohhh ..are you perhaps the new secretary ?miss Jewel cosmos ,she voiced, making sure she was the one .
"Yes I am ,she explained".
Ohhh …nice meeting you the lady said cheerfully,here is the card and some other things you will need ,I wish you luck,by the way I am Hannah ,Hannah.. smith ,she added her full name .it a lovely name ,jewel complimented .
After getting the stuff from the receptionist she made her way to the elevator,pressing the floor number that was on the card ,the elevator door shut with a ding sound .After what seems like forever, the door open .
Hoops !she heaved ,folding her fingers ,she tried not to panic because there was this unsettling feelings that has been knot_tied in her heart ,maybe she was just scared and afraid of what to come yet ,and silently she hoped in her mind that her boss and colleagues would atleast be different from her ex co-workers from her last job,not that she hoped highly.The floor was empty and serene ,only the ticking steps of her heels and continuous sigh was the only constant sound that echoes all through the floor.
Glancing over here and there ,she finally got to her office ,unlocking it with the card that was handed to her, she made her way into the spacious office.
As she walked into the office ,she couldn't help but feel excited ,she felt like her head was standing apart from her body,happy goosebumps were formed all over her .Her office was situated on the same floor as that of the C.E.O and his assistant,the floor was occupied by only three of them and not to forget ,the C.E.O has his own separate special elevator ,it was on another end of the floor ,so she wouldn't be seeing much of him, as she would be the only one to go in and out of her lift.
Moving forward to where her desk was situated ,she placed her bag on the desk, while she dragged out the chair that was pushed in between the desk as she sat on it with half of her buttocks .
Still in her wonderland of admiration,a sudden knock interrupted her shallow thought, which made her composed herself immediately.

I am Sebastian Cole,your supervisor ,and here with me is Amelia,your office assistant,he motioned, pointing to her.if not that he mentioned her, I wouldn't have known she was standing beside him .she would put you through everything you need to know about the office and many more ,he continued while staring at me .I am Amelia ..nice meeting you, miss cosmos,she said cheerfully,and immediately I liked her .?
Have you met with your other colleagues,he asked .No..i replied ,huh …Hannah should have showed you around or atleast directed you ,that was also her job as a receptionist, he voiced annoyingly,which I find scary .
Okay ..let's show you around ..he said while i and Amelia tailed behind him .on the way i tried making conversation with Amelia but she remained unyielding,which I found odd .Already in the lower floor ,I could hear different voices , which made me weaken in steps as I was afraid to step closer .
Mr Cole is here everyone ..a voice whispered carefully which I caught hold of .compose yourself everyone …Mr Cole scolded, gaining their attention as everyone stood orderly without making a pimmm.. sound ,as their whole eyes were now on me ,the new short girl ,I condemned in my mind .
So here with me is Jewel cosmos,he introduced.she is a new staff (secretary),and I hope you all get along with her ,show her things to do and support her ,he rambles continuously which I didn't even wasted my time listening as my eyes were only fixed on the people in the room ,it felt asif my hearing aid was lost and all I felt was my inner thighs dripping with mad sweat .
That would be all ,he ended ,exiting the room ,leaving me with the other members in the room .
Hi …I am Tony ,a short guy with a spiky hair cut ,introduced himself ,am the IT support specialist,I look forward to working with you he said as he shooked hands with me ,acting all friendly .I am Anita by name ,and am the marketing coordinator,looking forward to work with you ,she added briefly with a straight face .
The introduction kept going on and on ,while some didn't even bother to introduce theirselves,not that I care ,but it makes me feel belittled .some were nice enough to leave a compliment and even a good impression,and from the introduction I could figured their ranks and what they each specialise in .
After the introduction was done,Amelia toured me around each building department,from the lowest to the highest .
I am sorry for doing that earlier ,Amelia apologised suddenly.ohh … that ,I said sounding surprised. Yeah … I knew it was bad of me to ignore you ,but I hope you understand my P.O.V,Amelia begged.you don't have to further explain ,I know you are only adhering to strict regulations,i replied .

Yes and no ,I said while squealing my toes .i only watch movies and read novels and sometimes, I could be available on instagram and WhatsApp .sometimes… she laughed feeling surprised . What's that funny ? I questioned ,kind of angry because I thought she was making jest of me ,because most people find me local when I say that and sometimes even Laura would call me a living dead for missing out on all other social apps.

Here we are …she beamed as I took my time to admire the surroundings.it was the company cafeteria,if not because I wasn't really accustomed to many places in the building yet ,i would have said this place was the most beautiful,I don't know why I find it beautiful,maybe because of the interior or the orderliness and maybe because it was the signature of food . The thought of food made my stomach rumbled ,I haven't had breakfast yet .it was a custom for me ,I had that habit since I was young anytime I wanted to do something or any day important at all in my life ,i don't eat ,not until everything settles .
