Prince Liang Chen woke up early. The sun rays had penetrated their way through the cracks as he opened his eyes. His gaze first landed on the couch, and it was empty. The place didn't appear to have been used, but then he had not felt Ji Mingyaun climb in next to him.
Liang Chen sat up. His body felt relaxed and his mind calm. Ever since marrying Yelan, he had never slept so peacefully.
Just then, Xiayue appeared before him with her usual bubbling smile.
"How is my prince doing today?" she asked, and Liang Chen smiled warmly.
"Better," he answered.
Xiayue's face brightened. "I am here to give you an update on the progress of your relationship with the crown prince. Remember, from now henceforth, you may choose to know or not to."
Liang Chen thought for a while. He hated the regular system updates, for even in times he was angry, the numbers kept going up.
"What use is there to know?" he asked.
