In the darkness, whispering echoed, talking to themselves.
"Shhhhhh, you're going to wake him up."
"Be quiet."
Jake's eyes were blurry; he couldn't see clearly. He could hear some faint voices around him, encircling him.
"Hey, he's waking up. Be careful, I saw his eyes twitch."
"Me, too. I saw it too."
"Shhhhh, don't scare him."
Finally, with the weakness slowly fading from his sleepy eyes, he opened them, squinting to see what was surrounding him.
"Where am I?" He grumbled rubbing his neck.
In front of his eyes were small, green men with pointy noses and ears were grinning at him.
He screamed.
"What... HECK!"
"GET AWAY FROM ME!"
He jerked back as he tried to distance himself.
He stumbled as he hurried to get up, looking for an exit.
His eyes landed, there was a window just right opposite to him, but for him to reach it he had to jump over or circle around the short green man wearing glasses. Without no choices left, he lunged forward, trying to jump over him and reach the window.
Suddenly, one of the green man, cried out, "Master, Master, what happened?"
It tried to latch onto Jack's leg, it's hand open in an attempt to reach him.
"GET AWAY FROM ME, FREAK!" Jack cried as he pulled his leg away.
But before Jake could comprehend what was happening, a screen popped up in front of him.
It said:
Welcome to the World of Ignaria

* Skill: Goblin summoning lvl 1, Water manipulation lvl 1, Darkness Manipulation lvl 2

Jake frowned at the jumbled nonsense on the screen, confusion twisting his face. He took a breath, steeling himself, and sprinted toward the window. The pop-up vanished the moment his eyes left it.
Just before he reached the glass, a voice called out from behind him.
One of the green man with dumb expression was jumping, and gesturing towards something.
"Master, Master, the door is this way."
Turning his head in the direction the green man was pointing, he saw a door. He halted. "What? Why are they helping me? Master... I'm their master?"
He faced the green dwarf and asked him, "Where am I? And who are you guys?"
The green dwarf tilted his head and replied, "Ask the glasses! Master, he is smart."
The one wearing the glass signed, he was wearing a robe around his body with purple hue, his neck laced with a pendant.
For Jake he was whom he had seen first when he opened his eyes.
The glasses wearing goblin nudged his glasses off his nose ridge, as it shone light, masking his pupil, he spoke, "Master, we are at Rus Haale Village, located on the northern side of the Ponty Empire... and for us, we are your summons."
Jake couldn't remember this village or the empire's name. He became more and more perplexed with every word.
He then asked another question, this one to confirm something. "Who am I?"
The glasses-wearing green dwarf was taken aback but didn't let it show on his face. He replied, "You are the heir of the Montague family, the only remaining viscount of the North... And an able summoner."
Jake asked again, this time with desperation hidden in his question, "What is my name?"
The glasses dwarf spoke. "Your name, Master, is Corvus Montague."
Hearing that, Jake was finally able to piece together what the hell was going on. Jake had transmigrated to a fantasy world. Jake tried to resummon the status window. It came alive with a mere thought.
Status Window
* Name: Corvus Montague

* Skill: Goblin summoning lvl 1, Water manipulation lvl 1, Darkness Manipulation lvl 2
* Ability: Author's grace, Supernatural luck

Jake started reading his stats one by one. "Name... status plagued? What does that mean? Class... it's like an RPG game. Race Demi-Human? Skill... Oh, that's right, yeah, makes sense. Water and darkness... Author's grace? What does this do? Am I in a freaking webnovel? God no... please no... Supernatural luck? Well, that's a big fat lie... Magic... nice."
"Titles? Montague, that's my family name right? And a hobo, what does that mean?"
He click the description just with his thought, it expanded a new window in front of him, this one filled with text written in language he didn't knew and never saw yet he was able to fluently understand it.
"Montague: A family of dark mages and summoners, with the adapt talent at necromancy. They reign over the eastern continent before the King of Jeospeo came and subjugated this family under his empire. A family with history more than 2000 years...."
"Interesting...."
He stopped mid-way as he left it to read later once he was out of this predicament.
"Untalented Hobo: A man with no talent and no home."
"What does that mean now!!!"
Jake exhaled his frustration out, as shifted his thoughts.
He then focused his gaze toward the dwarf-like men in his room.
'So they are goblins. Three of them in total. One wears glasses, another stares with a dumb expression, and the last one seems a little bit gloomy.'
Jake finally faced the three goblins and asked them, "What are your names?"
The glasses one spoke before any of them could answer. "Master, you are the one who can give names to us. As of now, we are just expendable minions."
Jake said inwardly, 'Right, that makes sense.'
Without much thought, he started giving them names.
"You with glasses, you are Nerdy from now on. You, whom I spoke to earlier, you will be Dummy. And lastly, you in the corner will be Gloomy."
It was clear he didn't put much effort but..
Dummy exclaimed with joy, "What a wonderful name, thank you, Master!"
Nerdy was perplexed but hid his bitterness with a fake smile. Gloomy just nodded from the corner.
"Alright, to the main business then..."
