Chapter 46 - Chapter 45 Unexpected.

Auden entered the restricted section of the library and began to use the stick to check the books among the shelfs nearby. Just the aura surrounding the books were enough to show Auden that they were bad news and the constant light emitted by the stick was also showing that his instincts were right.

He then found a book that explained the details of Transfiguration with living beings. Unlike turning a table into a pig or a button into a beetle, turning a living object into something else is extremely difficult. Making sure they are alive when transformed is even more difficult. Auden decided to read this book while his system absorbed the information from the books surrounding him.

He knew that even if he had gotten permission to get into the restricted section, he was still not out of the woods. Madam prince will be concerned because of his young age and might keep her eye open for the books he is reading.

Plus, Auden was sure that Dumbledore was monitoring him. Even if the castle obstructs Dumbledore from acting against him, the old wizard with almost a century of experience will still have a lot of cards up his sleeve.

And if by any chance he notices that Auden is reading a book about Horcrux.

Goodbye peaceful life.

The wizard who was biased against Voldemort just because he bullied others as a child will surely mark Auden as a dark lord more dangerous than Voldemort and will take steps to make his life more difficult.

So, for now, Auden is a diligent student who was interested in transfiguration.

After a total of Two hours, Auden managed to scan all the books within the restricted session. He went back and returned the glass to Madam Prince and exited the library after thanking her.

It was already dark by this time, so he decided to go back to the dormitory while looking at the information he got from the restricted section. The system easily displayed the required information showing why Tom had to ask Slughorn on how to create a Horcrux.

The book's name was "Thousand Cursed objects and how to destroy them". It contained a variety of information about various dark artifacts and how to destroy them. This was actually a useful book but was put in the restricted section because it contained knowledge about many forbidden artifacts that the younger children are not ready for.

Auden read the part about the Horcrux and found out that the information about it was limited. It explained that a Horcrux can make a person immortal as long as it is not destroyed and the known weaknesses of the objects are only two.

One, the poison of the Basilisk which is banned from being created by the ministry. Plus no one is able to control it. The second one is Fiendfyre, a dark spell that kills its own user if they are not strong enough.

Plus it also mentioned that the Horcrux emits a sort of foul aura that repulses anyone close to it. And if any person is carrying one, they are avoided and hated by people affected by the horcrux's aura.

'So, this must have made Tom think about using the Horcrux to escape death. He is known to be a highly superstitious person who believed in fate. That's why he chose seven Horcrux and tried to get the founder's artifacts for the Horcrux creation. Plus seeing the Basilisk mentioned in it might have led him to believe that he was fated for this magic'

As Auden contemplated everything and began looking through the archive to find out about the corrosive effects of the horcrux, he suddenly felt his instincts scream in his head.

Using his hearing he was able to sense that a spell is coming towards him from behind, so he immediately rolled to the side. He was thank full for the battle training he had done with the founders, so he was able to react quickly to that attack. But immediately he looked towards the direction from which the attack came and was able to see an adult running away hurriedly while getting hit by falling bricks from the castle.

"Don't worry, leave him. I'll get him later" Auden immediately told the castle to calm down as he knew that the castle was angry at Lockheart for planning to make Auden the next victim.

"Hahh" Auden sighed as he knew he had to report this. If he did not, Lockheart will get suspicious about Auden not reporting it. At the same time he had to stop the castle from attacking Lockheart right now, as he did not need to be famous for taking down an adult wizard on is own.

If possible he never wants to be famous. He would rather do everything behind the scenes and relax in this life. But if it requires him to reveal himself so as to complete his aims, he will not hesitate to do so. But for now, his power has not grown enough for him to famous without facing any repercussions.

'This is going to be troublesome' he thought as he suddenly felt a sort of vibration from the castle. For a moment he was surprised that he can understand what the castle was trying to tell him and then remembered that it was part of his skill set.

He listened intently to what the castle was trying to convey and realised that the castle was furious at Lockheart for trying to attack him and wants to know why it can't take revenge against him.

"Ah, well I have a plan. So, it was better for him not be taken down near to me, that's why I told you to stop" Auden replied and in return earned a grumble from the castle which told Auden that the castle was pouting and was dissatisfied because of letting him go.

"I never told anything about not punishing him later. Just make sure that he is suffering a small amount of bad luck again and again" Auden provided a compromise with a smile to which the castle replied happily.

'Now comes the troublesome part' he thought as he began going towards the teacher's lounge to speak to Professor McGonagall.
