If the Ichigo Kurosaki of the past could see himself now, he would be absolutely shocked beyond comprehension.
This was indeed the first time Ichigo had ever displayed such a maniacal, desperate expression. The calm, protective young man who always fought with purpose and restraint had been replaced by someone wild-eyed and frantic—a person driven to the very edge of sanity by circumstances beyond his understanding or control.
[In his desperate quest to reclaim his relatives and friends from Tsukishima's influence, Ichigo had truly lost all semblance of his former self. His attacks had become increasingly reckless and savage, each strike carrying the weight of his accumulated rage and despair.]
[But despite his newfound fury and enhanced Fullbring power, he couldn't achieve the decisive victory he so desperately needed.]
[During their vicious battle, Tsukishima managed to slip past Ichigo's guard, his bookmark weapon gleaming as he positioned himself for a potentially fatal strike to Ichigo's exposed back.]
["This ends now, Ichigo," Tsukishima said with his infuriating calm, "and then we can all go back to being the family we were always meant to be."]
[Just as the blade was about to penetrate Ichigo's spine, a familiar figure burst into the combat zone.]
CLASH!
[Ginjō Kūgo threw himself between Ichigo and Tsukishima, taking the full force of the attack that had been intended for his supposed ally. The bookmark weapon pierced through his chest with a sickening sound, blood immediately beginning to pool beneath him.]
["Ginjō!" Ichigo screamed, his rage momentarily replaced by shock and concern. "Why did you—?!"]
[Seeing his last remaining ally potentially lost to Tsukishima's power filled Ichigo with a new kind of terror. If Ginjō gets turned too, then I'll truly have no one left. I'll be completely alone in this nightmare.]
[But as Ginjō collapsed to the ground, clutching his wound, something unexpected happened.]
["I'm... still myself," Ginjō gasped, his voice pained but coherent. "His power... it takes time to fully integrate. We still have a chance."]
[Ichigo's eyes widened with a mixture of relief and desperate hope. "You mean you haven't been turned against me?"
["Not yet," Ginjō confirmed, struggling to remain conscious. "But it won't be long. His ability is already starting to work on my memories. You need to end this now, before I become another enemy you have to face."]
[The revelation that Tsukishima's memory manipulation wasn't instantaneous provided a small glimmer of hope in an otherwise hopeless situation. But it also meant that time was running out faster than ever.]
["I understand," Ichigo said, his spiritual pressure beginning to spike again. "I'll finish this before—"]
[His words were cut off as another familiar figure appeared at the edge of the battle zone.]
[Uryū Ishida stood there with his Quincy bow fully manifested, the spiritual energy arrow nocked and ready to fire. His expression was grim and focused as he surveyed the scene of destruction before him.]
[Ichigo's heart nearly stopped as he saw his longtime friend and rival pointing a weapon in his direction.]
["No..." Ichigo whispered, his voice breaking with fresh despair. "Not you too, Ishida. Please, not you too."]
[All of Ichigo's worst fears seemed to be confirmed. Uryū had been the first person attacked by Tsukishima, so it made perfect sense that he would have been the most thoroughly converted to the enemy's side. Now even his oldest friend was preparing to fight against him.]
["Kurosaki!" Uryū called out urgently. "Get away from them! Come to my side, quickly!"]
[But Ichigo had developed a severe case of psychological trauma from all the betrayals he had endured. The idea of trusting anyone—even someone claiming to help him—was now beyond his emotional capabilities.]
["I... I can't..." Ichigo stammered, backing away from everyone present. "How do I know you're really on my side? How do I know this isn't another trap?"]
[Seeing Ichigo's hesitation and growing paranoia, Uryū made a split-second decision.]
WHOOSH!
[He released his arrow, sending it flying in Ichigo's direction with deadly precision.]
["ISHIDA!" Ichigo cried out in anguish, raising his arms to defend against what he thought was an attack from his closest friend.]
[But the arrow sailed past Ichigo harmlessly, instead targeting Ginjō who was lying wounded behind him.]
[Unfortunately, Uryū's intervention came a moment too late.]
[Ginjō had already sprung back to his feet with supernatural speed, his massive Cross of Scaffold materializing as he launched a devastating attack against the confused and disoriented Ichigo.]
CRASH!
[At the same moment, Tsukishima seized the opportunity created by the chaos to attack Uryū from behind, his bookmark weapon slashing across the Quincy's back before he could react.]
[Within seconds, both Ichigo and Uryū were left battered and temporarily incapacitated, their spiritual energy fluctuating wildly from their injuries.]
["What... what's happening?" Ichigo gasped as he struggled to understand the rapid sequence of events. "Ginjō, why did you attack me? I thought you were still on my side!"]
["Your memory... has it already been changed?" Ichigo continued desperately. "But that's impossible! Tsukishima's power shouldn't work that quickly!"]
[Ginjō's laughter was cold and mocking as he towered over Ichigo's prone form.]
["Oh, Ichigo," he said with cruel amusement. "You still don't understand what's really been happening here, do you?"]
["The person who attacked Ishida several days ago... that wasn't Tsukishima."]
[Ichigo's eyes widened in shock as the implication hit him.]
["It was me," Ginjō confirmed with a satisfied smirk. "I was the one who ambushed your Quincy friend and left him injured in the hospital."]
["Ishida's memories were never altered because Tsukishima never touched him," Ginjō continued. "That's why he just tried to attack me instead of you. He knew the truth all along, but you were too paranoid and suspicious to listen to him."]
["That arrow wasn't meant for you, Ichigo. It was meant for me. But your mistrust prevented him from warning you properly, and now you've both paid the price for your inability to recognize your true allies."]
The chat erupted with shocked realizations and growing outrage:
[Rukia Kuchiki]: They were working together from the beginning?! This whole thing was an elaborate setup!
[Byakuya Kuchiki]: The depth of this deception is staggering. Every alliance, every betrayal, every moment of trust—all carefully orchestrated.
[Renji Abarai]: Poor Ichigo... he's been playing a game where everyone else knew the rules except him.
[Tōshirō Hitsugaya]: Ishida tried to help him, but Ichigo's trauma from all the other betrayals made him unable to trust even genuine allies.
[Rangiku Matsumoto]: This is heartbreaking! The psychological damage has made him his own worst enemy!
[As the full scope of the conspiracy became clear, Ichigo felt his remaining sanity cracking like glass under pressure.]
["You mean... you and Tsukishima... you've been working together this entire time?" Ichigo asked in a hollow voice.]
["Of course," Ginjō replied casually. "Did you really think all of this was coincidence? The timing of Tsukishima's attacks, my convenient appearance as your 'ally,' the way I just happened to have the perfect training program to help you develop your Fullbring?"]
["Everything was planned from the very beginning," Tsukishima added, approaching with his trademark smile. "Every lesson, every moment of trust, every breakthrough in your power development—all of it was designed to lead to this moment."]
["But why?" Ichigo whispered, his voice barely audible. "What could you possibly want from me?"]
["Your power, obviously," Ginjō said as his Cross of Scaffold began to glow with ominous energy. "You've been developing your Fullbring beautifully under my guidance. Now it's time for me to claim the fruits of that labor."]
["You see, Ichigo, there's something special about your particular spiritual energy," Tsukishima explained with academic interest. "As someone who's been both human and Shinigami, your power has unique properties that can be... transferred to others under the right circumstances."]
["When Tsukishima cut me before, it wasn't to turn me against you," Ginjō continued. "It was to restore my original memories and remind me of our shared goals. You see, I needed to play the role of your ally convincingly, which meant temporarily forgetting our partnership."]
["But now that your training is complete and your Fullbring has reached its peak, there's no more need for pretense."]
[The devastating truth hit Ichigo like a physical blow. Every moment of trust, every breakthrough in training, every instance where he thought he was growing stronger to protect his friends—all of it had been manipulation designed to make him a more valuable target for theft.]
[As Ichigo knelt there in the ruins of his shattered worldview, the sky chose that moment to mirror his internal state.]
[Dark clouds gathered overhead, and rain began to fall in cold, heavy drops that struck his face and mixed with the tears he didn't even realize he was shedding.]
[For the first time in his life, Ichigo Kurosaki was completely and utterly defeated—not just physically, but emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually.]
[He had lost his friends to false memories, his allies to deception, his power to theft, and his purpose to manipulation. There was literally nothing left of the person he used to be.]
[As the rain continued to fall and his enemies prepared to claim their prize, Ichigo remained motionless on his knees, staring at the ground with empty eyes.]
The audience watching this scene felt their hearts breaking for the young man who had given everything to protect others, only to discover that his greatest efforts had been turned into weapons against him:
[Rukia Kuchiki]: I never expected these villains to be so thoroughly connected! Even cutting their own allies was part of the plan—the dedication to making their deception realistic is terrifying!
[Byakuya Kuchiki]: This Tsukishima Shūkurō and Ginjō Kūgo were orchestrating everything from the very beginning!
[Ichigo Kurosaki]: Is this really true? Are they all enemies...?
[Orihime Inoue]: Kurosaki-kun looks so broken... I've never seen him like this before.
[Chad Yasutora]: To have every alliance revealed as betrayal... no wonder his spirit is crushed.
[Kisuke Urahara]: The psychological warfare involved in this conspiracy is masterfully crafted. They didn't just defeat him—they destroyed him.
[Yoruichi Shihōin]: Sometimes the cruelest victories are the ones that leave your enemy alive but broken.
[Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto]: To see such a valiant spirit reduced to this state... it's genuinely painful to witness.
[Retsu Unohana]: The rain falling as he kneels in defeat... even nature seems to be mourning his downfall.
[Jūshirō Ukitake]: Men do cry, and tears are not a sign of weakness. Sometimes they're the only appropriate response to having your entire world destroyed.
[As the chapter reached its conclusion, the image of Ichigo kneeling in the rain—alone, betrayed, and utterly broken—served as a powerful reminder that sometimes the greatest heroes face defeats so complete that even their legendary resilience cannot immediately overcome them.]
[The question that remained was whether this was truly the end of Ichigo Kurosaki's story, or whether some spark of his indomitable spirit might yet find a way to rise from the ashes of this total defeat.]
[But for now, in this moment, there was only rain, despair, and the hollow echo of a hero's fall from grace.]
