Chapter 25 — Asgard
In the vast sea of stars stretching endlessly across the void, the moment Blake sensed the aura of the All-Father, Odin, he activated his teleportation and arrived in Asgard.
Loki, who had taken the Tesseract, had already fled too far. As long as he was still on Earth, Blake couldn't lock onto his aura at all.
But since both Asgard and Earth were part of the "Nine Realms," the distance between them couldn't truly be called far.
Because he considered Earth's current level of technology far too primitive, Blake chose Asgard as his first destination. His plan was simple—borrow a spacecraft from Odin as a means of traveling through space.
In the Marvel films, the Asgardians mostly fought with cold steel—blades, spears, and hammers. But in reality, a kingdom that had existed for tens of thousands of years possessed a technological level that far surpassed anything on Earth.
Powerful energy weapons were not nonexistent in Asgard. It was just that most Asgardians, being divine beings themselves, had little interest in relying on such tools.
As the nominal leader of the Nine Realms, Asgard's might was beyond question.
In Marvel lore, the Shi'ar Empire, the Kree Empire, and the Skrull Empire were known as the Three Great Empires of the Universe. Each ruled over multiple galaxies and boasted populations in the hundreds of billions. They were the greatest mortal civilizations in all of existence.
But Asgard did not belong to the realm of mortals.
It was a civilization of gods.
Though its population could not compare to those three empires, its overall power was in no way inferior. In fact, Asgard was also a member of the Universal God Alliance.
The "Universal God Alliance" was an alliance formed by gods from every corner of the cosmos. And within it, the All-Father Odin held an extremely high position.
As the heir to one of the greatest powers in the universe, Thor's pride as the God of Thunder was, of course, not without reason. Anyone in his position would feel the same.
This was also one of the main reasons why Loki had been so obsessed with stealing Thor's right of inheritance at the beginning of the story—because the throne of the All-Father of Asgard was simply too tempting to let go.
Countless lives across the Nine Realms, all bowing under a single rule…

When Blake suddenly appeared before him, the All-Father Odin only showed a hint of surprise. He quickly raised a hand, signaling the palace guards on both sides not to attack.
After dismissing the guards, Odin warmly introduced Blake to his wife—the Queen of Asgard, Frigga.
After exchanging a few polite greetings and pleasantries, Blake explained the reason for his visit.
Just a small spacecraft—Odin, of course, wouldn't be stingy.
In fact, to show his respect for Blake, Odin immediately summoned the best spacecraft designers in all of Asgard.
He ordered them to personally design and construct the most advanced ship Asgard could offer, fully customized to meet Blake's needs.
During the design process, Blake also gave a few additional requests:
The speed had to be high.
The structure had to be strong and resistant to damage.
The control system had to be simple and intuitive.
The energy recharge process had to be practical.
And most importantly—the ship needed a special magical formation capable of absorbing ambient energy as a resource, allowing him to travel through space for extended periods of time.
As for a weapon system? There was no need to install one.
His own presence was already the greatest defense system in the entire universe.
All of Blake's requirements were well within Asgard's capabilities. The only issue was time—the construction of such a ship would take about half a month.
Fortunately, Blake wasn't in a hurry.
Chasing Loki and finding the Tesseract was nothing more than a small pastime for him right now. He did it to kill time—and also out of curiosity toward the Space Stone itself.
If he found it, great.
If not, that was fine too.

During the fifteen days of waiting, Blake stayed within the palace of Asgard.
Whenever he felt bored, he wandered through different parts of the realm. Sometimes, when the mood struck him, he would seek out the All-Father Odin to discuss the grand laws of the universe. Other times, he would exchange insights on magic with Queen Frigga.
Queen Frigga herself was an incredibly powerful sorceress. Though her strength was not on the same level as Blake or the Ancient One, among the magic users of the Nine Realms, she was undoubtedly at the very top.
Blake even learned several fascinating spells from her during this time.
As a side note—most of Loki's abilities as the God of Mischief had also been taught to him by this very adoptive mother.
Although Blake never openly stated that his true purpose in coming to Asgard was to chase after their beloved son, Frigga, as a powerful sorceress, could still sense something beneath the surface.
And finally, when the specially designed spacecraft for Blake was completed…
The great mother, the Queen of Asgard, spoke up and pleaded with him for the sake of her child.
"Lord Blake, I can guess a little," Frigga said softly. "It seems your journey into the cosmos this time is to look for my mischievous son, isn't it?"
"Perhaps Loki truly made a mistake. Perhaps even a crime that is hard to forgive. But as his mother…" Her voice wavered. "I still wish to beg you—if possible, please don't hurt him."
"For everything Loki has done, as his mother, I feel I share the same responsibility…"
Looking at the gentle, loving figure of this mother before him, Blake only gave a small nod and replied calmly.
"Your Majesty, you're thinking too much. I'm only looking for Loki because he took the Tesseract from Earth. I just happen to have a bit of interest in that Tesseract myself."
"Besides, even if Loki isn't a good person, he's not completely evil either. You don't need to worry. Just for all the magic you've taught me over these past few days alone…" Blake smiled faintly. "I wouldn't possibly kill him."
"Once I catch Loki, I'll send him back to Asgard."
After saying that, Blake entered his spacecraft alone.

The medium-sized spacecraft was over fifty meters long and more than twenty meters tall. As requested, its control system was extremely simple.
It was equipped with an artificial intelligence capable of fully automated navigation.
Inside the control room, every star map known to Asgard had already been loaded into the system.
And along the outer hull of the ship, Queen Frigga had personally engraved countless magical formations, each one with its own unique function and power.
Designed in the elegant shape of a sailing vessel, the ship could be called a perfect fusion of advanced technology and ancient magic—a breathtaking work of art drifting through space.

When Blake activated the ship, it only took about a minute for its speed to surge up to the speed of light.
Even so, Blake still felt it wasn't fast enough.
As he checked the coordinate data from the star maps stored in the system, he calculated the direction of his destination in his mind.
Slowly, his right hand extended forward. The energy within his body began to flow outward.
In the next instant, a massive spatial portal opened up in front of the ship.
In a blink of an eye, Blake and the spacecraft he rode vanished completely from the territory of the Nine Realms.
