However, Kaito hadn't brought them here to farm monsters. Nightfall was less than thirty minutes away, and even his Lantern of Dusk wouldn't be able to cover such a wide area for over two hundred people. Organizing a large-scale grind session under such conditions wasn't feasible.
Instead, he had another plan.
He turned to his second uncle. "Uncle, can I ask you to guide someone for me?"
Kaito's thoughts drifted to Nina. In their previous game, she had single-handedly managed a small yet formidable guild. Though her brother Razor Blade was the official guild leader, it was Nina who ran things behind the scenes. Despite their small numbers, their guild had earned the respect—and fear—of many. Even second-rate guilds hesitated to cross them. Her sharp instincts, strict discipline, and brilliant strategies made her a rare talent in guild management.
"She'll be one of the keys to managing operations going forward. I want her to learn from you—at least until the structure is fully set up."
His uncle grinned. "Alright. Just send her to me. Till then, I'll handle the management—then she can take over."
Originally, Kaito had hoped his second uncle would help long-term with administration. But after seeing how fired up he was to dive into battles with the others, Kaito had adjusted his plans. He would let his uncle enjoy the game and only ask for temporary help.
His thoughts flickered to someone else as well—another person who could be a tremendous asset in running things. But that would have to wait until he logged off.
Just then, his grandfather and grandmother stepped forward.
"We've played our part," his grandfather said with a calm smile. "But now, we'd like to focus on our life skills. We couldn't unlock them before reaching the town, so we've just been tagging along."
His grandmother nodded. "I've also been itching to start alchemy."
Even his mother stepped up, speaking softly, "I'd also like to cook."
Hearing his mother, both Kaito and his father subconsciously licked their lips. The mention of his mother's cooking had a visible effect.
"No matter what, her cooking is the best in the world," Kaito muttered with a nostalgic grin.
Without hesitation, Kaito took out a bronze-tier kitchen knife and handed it to his mother. "This should be a good start."
Then he turned to his grandma. "Grandma Before you go to your respective life skill guilds, head toward the inner town gates and find a shop selling withered dewgrass—it's cheap and used in beginner-level quests. Buy three."
He continued, "After that, you can go to Viscount Elrick's mansion. There's a young NPC girl there named Saphina. Accept her quest and hand her the withered dewgrass. That will start your class change chain."
Kaito quickly mailed two gold coins each to his grandparents and mother. "This should cover the costs for your quest and class changes."
His grandfather gave a hearty laugh.
Kaito seeing it remembered that at first his grandpa was also interested in alchemy but he had decided not to pursue alchemy after all. The reason was When his grandmother and grandpa tried crafting potions using those rune recipes from the library ruins… well, let's just say he's better off not touching cauldrons.
His grandmother chuckling had said "He nearly blew up the stove." When she was telling it to kaito.
"I've grown more interested in arrays and runic inscriptions since then. So I'll go with enchanting instead." said his grandfather after thinking for a while.
Kaito nodded. "Don't worry Grandpa! Enchanting might suit you better."
In truth, Kaito was referring to a hidden quest linked to unlocking the advanced pharmacist subclass. While most players could unlock a basic pharmacist class by paying a small fee at a pharmacy, that version lacked any bonuses. But this hidden quest granted a passive skill: +5% potion effectiveness.
It might seem minor, but in a game like Glory, 5% could mean the difference between life and death. Handing this opportunity to his family was a no-brainer.
As for why he didn't take it himself, it was simple. Kaito had chosen to focus on combat. Only after rediscovering the Whisper Flame and acquiring the Codex of Embersteel did he consider forging.
That decision had proven valuable.
Now, with forging in his hands, and pharmacist potential in his family's grasp, his foundation was becoming more solid by the day.
He then turned back to his second uncle. "Also Uncle, Before you begin the management, can you inquire about the Lumina Sight Potion recipe and also see if anyone's selling ready-made versions?"
"Lumina Sight Potion?" his uncle echoed, noting the name.
Though puzzled, his second uncle didn't question it further. He'd learned by now that everything Kaito did seemed to benefit the family in the end.
As for the Lumina Sight Potion, The name alone hinted at its effect—granting a +10 boost to visual range for three full minutes, with a five-minute cooldown.
Right now, most players scoffed at the potion. It was cheap, low-grade, and mainly used by secondary alchemist classes for practice due to its affordability. Few saw any true value in it.
But Kaito knew better.
That would change soon.
Once players began attempting the Level 15 Team Dungeon, reality would hit them hard. Just reaching the entrance required passing through a high-grade mist illusion formation—a Rank-0 Array that blanketed the terrain in endless mist and phantom projections. Inside the array, players' vision was restricted to five yards at most. Many teams found themselves circling the same path again and again, unknowingly sent back to their starting points.
This was also the reason they are yet to find it and in his previous life it took at least a week more before using the potion a player somehow managed to reach the dungeon and then using this information that player had earned from every guild.
But that was only the beginning.
The dungeon itself was another nightmare. Enshrouded in a rolling white fog, it swallowed all light and shape, reducing vision to a blur. Players couldn't even tell when they had accidentally pulled aggro from a monster. Ranged classes were the worst off—mages couldn't even lock onto enemies if they couldn't see them, and archers fired blindly more often than not.
In that hellish environment, the Lumina Sight Potion would no longer be laughed at. It would become a staple—absolutely essential.
Kaito estimated that an average team would take at least two hours to clear the dungeon. For a competent six-person party, that meant hundreds of potions consumed in a single run.
A consumable market of that scale… it's insane.
If possible, Kaito would have monopolized the entire supply chain. But time was tight. Too tight.
So, he made his decision.
"Uncle," he said, "go to the auction house and scout out the market. You'll also find plenty of small-to-mid-sized game studios that have already set up their stalls in South Glade Town. Reach out to them personally."
His second uncle nodded, listening closely.
"There are also sellers with good track records listed on the auction house," Kaito added. "You can consider them too. But don't get too hasty. Wait until the last in-game hour of night. Until then, approach the studio heads directly—in your own name."
He looked his uncle straight in the eye.
"Right now, the name Genesis is drawing too much attention. If they link you to me, we risk increasing the cost of the potion too high. so it is better to keep a low profile. Don't mention the guild. Don't mention me. If anyone asks, just say you're working independently."
Then Kaito pulled up his interface and transferred 1,000 gold coins directly.
"This should be enough to start. First, buy out all the Lumina Sight Potions and their recipes you can find. After that, you can go all out on the Demon Rabbit meat as well."
Then, as if finally unburdened, Kaito exhaled deeply.
He hadn't realized just how much mental space this procurement task had taken up. Originally, he had wanted to manage it all himself—but with only so many hands, he had no choice but to wait until his family arrived and the manpower was in place.
Now that he had finally handed off this role to someone capable, he felt like a weight had been lifted.
"Oh, and once the game session ends tonight, I'll compile a list," he added. "It'll include all the items we need, along with their maximum price caps. Just follow that list. Buy anything that matches the criteria."
His second uncle gave a short, nod.
Kaito felt extremely relaxed after this.
The wheels were in motion now.
And this time, he wasn't alone.
