The Dragon's Tamer
The entire academy stood frozen. Gasps rippled through the students crowd as Shammroy held the dragon effortlessly in his hand and pating. The creature's power, once feared, now looked subdued before him.
Whispers began spreading like wildfire among the students.
Professor whispering to the Dean, astonished,
"Sir… he's the Second King's other son…."
The Dean's eyes widened, his expression softening into awe.
All around, students stared at Shammroy in admiration — a new legend was being born within their academy walls.
Students excited murmurs,
"Teach us, sir! Please, show us how you done this!"
As the crowd cheered, Querion and Ferin approached from behind, amusement flickering in their eyes.
Querion grinning,
"You've become quite famous, huh?"
Ferin with mock confidence,
"Hmph! I could've done that too, if I was there!"
Shammroy smirking, teasing tone,
"Really? Says the one who slipped away a few minutes ago."
Ferin sighing, shoulders like a defeated one and raising finger says,
"I was just… giving you a chance, okay?"
A professor behind Shammroy stepped forward with gratitude.
Professor respectfully,
"Thank you… truly."
Shammroy warm smile,
" Come on professor I do nothing, it just all happened and we both had done that."
Amidst the laughter and chatter, a young boy — Kaizer — watched them closely from the group. His eyes locked on Shammroy's back, studying the sharp physique, the posture, the aura.
A flicker of realization struck him.
Kaizer softly, to himself,
"This face… these eyes… I've seen them before, where? Not too long , it feels like I just…."
A beat of silence. Then his eyes widened with recognition.
Kaizer light dawning,
"Yes! He's the one who saved me last night!"
Just as Kaizer tried to rush forward—
Dean commanding voice echoing,
"Everyone! Get to your respective rooms! Now!"
The crowd scattered, leaving the courtyard empty. The Dean slowly approached Shammroy. When the professor tried to speak, the Dean raised a hand to silence him.
He stared at Shammroy — eyes sharp, curious, and uneasy.
Dean sternly,
"Who are you?"
The screen cuts to black.
A Few Days Later
The morning sun painted gold across the academy gates as Shammroy and his team stepped out. Laughter echoed between them as they reminisced about their days in there.
Then Ferin froze. His senses tingled.
Ferin alert, serious,
"Hey… do you hear that?"
Shammroy turning,
"What?"
Querion eyes narrowing and focused,
"Yeah. Something's near us."
Shammroy frowning,
"What are you talking about? What's near?"
Ferin uneasy,
"I don't know… but it feels huge."
Shammroy steady tone,
"Leave it. We're here to face the cosmic beast — not chase ghosts."
Moments later, they stood before the massive gates of the Kingdom of Orian. The air trembled with power.
Without warning, Shammroy vanished.
Querion stunned,
"What—!? He just charged in!"
Ferin determined and rushed,
"Then we move too!"
They blasted the gates open — and were met with a field covered with the blood of fallen soldiers, weapons scattered. Above , Shammroy in the L - shaped open wong floor, snatching enemy blades, striking down one after another in a blur.
Querion calling out, exasperated,
"Couldn't you wait for us!?"
Ferin grinning,
"Guess it's our turn now."
Both joined the fight, clashing and striking l against the remaining army opposite to the shammroy. After the dust settled, they regrouped.
Ferin panting,
"Why didn't you wait?"
Querion nodding, and exhaust
"Yeah, man!"
Shammroy calmly,
"That's not important. Let's move."
As they advanced, Ferin leaned closer to Querion, eyes still wide.
Ferin low voice,
"You notice something?"
Querion confused,
"What?"
Ferin awed,
"He slaughtered three-fourths of the army… in less than a minute."
And then shammroy goes down on the open courtyard. The air grew colder. A heavy rumble shook the ground as massive doors opened. Out stepped Orian, the cosmic beast — 18 feet tall, muscles rippling, eyes glowing with wrath. Below him the last leaves army with the sharp and powerful weapons.
Behind Shammroy, Ferin whispered, his voice trembling.
Ferin in disbelief,
"He's… so huge."
Querion amazed,
"This is my first time seeing a cosmic beast…"
Shammroy glanced back at them, calm but commanding.
Shammroy resolute,
"You two handle the army. I'll take the big one."
He bolted forward, snatching a sword from a corpse in mid-run and leaping high to strike. He strikes—
But that strike didn't done anything to orian. Shammroy couldn't hold back and tries again.
But this time orian caught his arm mid-air — and hurled him like a ragdoll into the massive throne room where he exited before.
The Fall
Inside the dark, blue-lit chamber, Shammroy's body rolled across the floor. Blood trickled from his forehead as he stood up by using his sword .
Orian mocking tone,
"You think you can strike me? Pathetic."
Shammroy attacked again — and again — each swing heavier, faster, each stike is getting stronger but orian remains still. Shammroy exhausted gasping heavily for air , hi blood dripped across the stone floor his vision blurring slowly. And then he slipped the sword and slowly collapsed, and trembling.
Orian towering over him,
"You've come this far… thinking that we are weak, see for yourself ! we are beyond you my boy."
Outside, Querion and Ferin battled fiercely — blood streaking from their arms and faces. They limped toward the doorway and froze at the sight of their fallen leader.
Ferin shouting, panic,
"What happened to you? You promised us—"
Querion angrily,
"Get up, fool!"
Orian turned his back, walking slowly toward his throne — when a broken, rasping voice echoed through the silence.
Shammroy weak, defiant,
"BA…A…KA…"
Orian halted, his eyes narrowing.
Shammroy rising, trembling, coughing blood,
"Do you… think… I'd give up… that easily…?"
He takes and dragged his sword upward, closing his eyes for a moment. Then, with a deep breath, he drew the blade from the back as it was taken from the back sheath.
When his eyes opened — they glowed pale gold.
In an instant, he lunged forward, moving faster than before. He gripped his blade tightly and then he swung the sword to strike the orian. But this time the strike tore through the air and cut across Orian's chest. The giant beast froze.
Blood splattered from the chest and fell across the floor. Orian knelt, eyes wide, trembling.
Orian stunned whisper,
"I… I haven't seen my own blood in centuries after that incident… and even though he cannot get me a wound this deep , but this boy can ."
His gaze lifted to the shammroy who is gasping— and behind Shammroy, in the flicker of the dying light, stood a shadowed figure only Orian recognized.
