- Holy Purifying Sword, Alpha said and her sword was inflamed by a white flame. She tried to cut the failed artificial angel but it avoided the blade and hit her hard with her right arm. Alpha was barely able to block it. The failed artificial angel took Alpha's leg and threw her into another wall. She hit the wall hard enough to break it. We heard footsteps from the tunnel left to the tunnel we came from. It was a man. He wore black pants, shirt, boots and an overcoat with a turn-down collar. He had gold and purple trim adorn his dark jacket, shirt, pants and high boots. He had a long hood and mask that covered his face. The mask was white with grey details and on the cheeks it had search symbols. When Alpha saw the man she ran up to him and bowed.
- Sir Shadow, she said. Wait, how does she not have any serious injuries after that, I thought.
- Wait, he's the one that attacked the kidnappers, said Nari. The man walked past Alpha and stretched out his right arm and a black sword came from nowhere. He put his left hand on the blade and after he removed his hand the blade started burning with a white flame. He pointed with it at the failed artificial angel. It roared at him and started running towards him. When it got close to him the failed artificial angel tried to stab the man but he avoided the failed artificial angel's attack and in the same movement cut the artificial angel. It was inflamed by the sword's white flame and after the flame was gone the failed artificial angel became a human woman again. Woman with long messy blonde hair and blue eyes. She had a well trained body and no clothes. It was Aeldra. The man's clothes extended covering Aeldra's body.
- AELDRA! screams Aldric in shock and ran up to her.
- Who is he? I questioned. And how was he able to defeat her with such ease? I wondered.
- He's Shadow, the leader and creator of the Garden Of Shadows, Alpha replied while walking up to us. Shadow looked at Brent who was backed away a few meters.
- Hell Storm, said Brent and the ground under Shadow broke down and a lot of fire shot up but Shadow walked through the fire like it wasn't there. He started walking towards Brent who was looking at Shadow in panic "Wait what, No… No, no ,no." He was trying to escape through the tunnel behind him but when he got there the tunnel was closed. He looked behind him in panic.
- Hell Storm, Hell Storm, Hell Storm, screamed Brent in panic but none of them seemed to have affected Shadow. When he got to Brent he cut him in the chest and a bunch of blood flew out. Brent screamed out in pain. Shadow put his sword at Brent's neck.
- Are you going to let me live if I tell you the next place? Brent asked in even more panic. "The next place we are going to attack is Magic City." Shadow cut off Brent's head. Me, Nari and Aldric stood there in shock.
- Sir, are we going to take his also? asked Alpha. Wait, are they going to kill Accelerator too? I thought. I went up to Accelerator and stood between him and Shadow who looked at me as his sword was absorbed by his clothes. He shaked his head and walked away. Alpha followed him asking him "So the next place is Magic City?" I looked at Brent's dead body thinking "Did he need to kill him?" After a few minutes the royal guards came.
- Today we are here to thank the ones that helped us fight off these monsters, said King Charles III, the current king of England. The king decided to celebrate everyone that helped them protect the citizens from the monsters.
- A special thanks to Kamijo, Elfortistus, Taiyo and Aimi for evaluating all the citizens and fighting off the monsters, said King Charles III. They decided that if the public got to know that these were failed artificial angels there would be a much bigger panic than if we called them monsters.
- And to Fuji, Nari and Aldric for finding the culprits and saving the princess. Thank You to everyone that protected the citizens, said King Charles III. After he said that we started celebrating.
- Hey, Kenji, Nari, said Aeldra while walking up to us with her father the king. She had her long hair put in a ponytail. She wore a green dress.
- Oh, Aeldra hi, Nari greeted.
- Nari, Fuji again thank you so much for saving my daughter, said King Charles III.
- There's no need to thank us, we didn't really do much, I said.
- That doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is that you tried to save her, said King Charles III. After he said that, we heard someone say "I challenge you to a duel." I looked towards the person who said it and saw that it was Elfortistus. She was looking at Kamijo who answered "Nope."
- Why? she asked.
- Because I already know who would win, Kamijo answered.
- How? We haven't even battled yet, Elfortistus questioned.
- Because your mana is almost ten times higher than mine, he said.
- So what? asked Elfortistus.
- That sounds like a fantastic idea, said King Charles III while walking up to them.
- No it don't, said Kamijo, disappointed.
- Because the monster attacks happened before the final battle we didn't get a finale. So let's make this the finale, said King Charles III.
- Do I have to? asked Kamijo and the king replied "Yes." Kamijo looked down at the ground with a disappointed smile and said "Fine."
In the arena.
- It's time for the final battle of the tournament. Are you ready? said the judge. "So on the right side we have Licht Kamijo." Kamijo walked into the arena. He had white hair and was muscular. His left eye was red and over his right eye that was closed he had a scar. He wore a black t-shirt and grey shorts. Even if he didn't want to do this he still had a smile on his face.
- And on the left side we have Elfortistus, said the judge as Elfortistus walked out. She had long platinum hair and blue eyes. She was long and had very pale skin. She wore a gray robe around her, a black bikini top and white shorts.
- She looks quite a lot like Alpha, Nari noted. Well she said that she was here to pick up her niece so maybe Alpha is her niece? I thought. Over Elfortistus' shoulder she had her sword in a scabbard. The judge looked at both of them and asked "Are you ready?"
- Fire Sword, said Kamijo and created a sword out of fire. Elfortistus took out her sword.
- She's only gonna use her normal sword? Elfortistus is not going to be able to parry a single blow with her sword, said Wada.
- Not quite, her sword looks to be the elven artifact Elfdeius. A sword that is close to indestructible, the doctor corrected Wada. The judge looked again at both competitors and said "Start."
- Speed Boost, said Kamijo and ran quickly to Elfortistus and tried to cut her but she parried his attack. Elfortistus kicked Kamijo back. She ran after him and tried to stab him and Kamijo tried to avoid it but wasn't able to fully avoid her attack. He got a cut wound on his cheek. Kamijo tried to cut her but Elfortistus avoided and stabbed him in the liver and then cut him over the chest. Kamijo jumped, meanwhile Elfortistus tried to cut and stab him. Kamijo was able to defend some but not all.
- Regeneration, said Kamijo and healed all his wounds.
- Tree Root, said Elfortistus and a root came up from the ground and almost hitted Kamijo.
- Tree Root, said Elfortistus again and another root came up from the ground and flew towards Kamijo who tried to block it with his sword but his sword got stuck in the root.
- Tree Root, said Elfortistus and a root came up this time beside Kamijo. The root hit him in the left armpit which made him fly up several meters. Luckily he landed on his legs. It looked like his left shoulder had been dislocated.
- Regeneration, said Kamijo and healed his shoulder.
- Okay so I need to be harder on you, said Elfortistus.
- Do you need to? asked Kamijo.
- Tree Root, said Elfortistus and a root came flying towards Kamijo and again he blocked it with his sword and again it got stuck. Come on, does he not learn? I wondered disappointed.
- Tree Root, said Elfortistus and a rot came up beside him again but this time he released his sword and avoided the root. Elfortistus jumped after Kamijo.
- Root Shield, said Kamijo and a bunch of tree roots came up from the ground and formed a wall between Kamijo and Elfortistus but she just cut though the root wall and tried to stab Kamijo but he avoided it.
- Fire Sword, said Kamijo and tried to cut Elfortistus who looked shocked but she was still able to block his attack.
- So it was a trap, said the doctor.
- What do you mean? I asked.
- There's not a lot of magicians who can return their magical weapons without touching them, so he wanted her to think that he was defenseless, said Suzuki.
- Exactly, said the doctor at the same time as Elfortistus and Kamijo jumped back to their sides.
- Forest Roots, said Elfortistus and a lot of roots flew towards Kamijo. He ran towards the roots and was able to avoid all of them except one that hit his left shoulder which hit him back multiple meters.
- Root Storm, said Elfortistus and a bunch of roots flew towards Kamijo as one root. Kamijo's fire sword disappeared and he took out a coin.
- Kom op Railgun, said Kamijo and shot a small beam towards the roots. They met in the middle and were equally strong, but in the end the roots were able to overpower the beam and flew towards Kamijo, but he was able to avoid the roots.
- Fire Sword, said Kamijo and took out his fire sword meanwhile Elfortistus was running towards him. She tried to cut him but he parried her cut.
- Hell Storm, said Kamijo and the ground under Elfortistus started breaking down but before the fire came up she jumped away.
- Fire Knife, said Kamijo and took out a knife made of fire.
- Wait, what? screamed Suzuki in surprise. He was not the only one that was surprised. Probably everyone who knows anything about magic weapons were shocked since it's extremely rare for someone to have two magic weapons. Only about 1 in a billion magicians have two magic weapons and then they can't even use them at the same time. Only about 1 in 100 billion can use two magic weapons at the same time. Elfortistus ran towards Kamijo and tried to stab him but he deflected her sword with his knife and tried to stab her but she avoided his attack.
- Hell Storm, said Kamijo and the ground under them started breaking down. Elfortistus jumped away, making Kamijo the only one hit by his magic.
- Forest Roos, said Elfortistus and a bunch of roots flew towards him and he avoided them.
- Elven Sword Technique, Deus Secare, said Elfortistus and after a second she was behind him. Kamijos magical weapons disappeared and then he lost consciousness.
- It is Elfortistus that has won this battle, said the judge.
Later at St Mary's hospital.
- Aoh my neck, Kamijo complained when he woke up. "How long was I out?"
- Only about half an hour, the doctor answered. Me, the doctor and Elfortistus were there.
- You did a good job, said Elfortistus.
- A good job? Didn't feel like it. Didn't even touch you a single time, said Kamijo.
- Most other people wouldn't even keep up with me for half a minute, said Elfortistus.
- And if you went all out from the start I wouldn't have kept up with you for as long as I did, said Kamijo.
- Maybe, I have to leave now, said Elfortistus and left. The doctor looked at her meanwhile she left. He looked back at Kamijo and asked "So where are you heading now?"
- Don't know, he answered.
- Okay, so would you like to live in Magic City for a few months? asked the doctor.
- Would like to but then I would need to be a student and I don't want that, said Kamijo. The doctor looked at me and asked me "One of your teachers is retiring soon, correct?"
- Yeah Murata is retiring in a few weeks, I replied. Murata is my physical education teacher.
- Okay then you can get a job there, said the doctor.
- Yeah, there's no chance that they would hire me. I have no teaching education, said Kamijo.
- Luckily that doesn't matter since I'm one of the twelve board members, the doctor said. I looked shocked at the doctor. The twelve board members are the most powerful people in Magic City. The only other board member that I know of is Accelerator who is the only one that has their class public. It is possible that there are more than six magicians that are S-Class in Magic City we just don't know it.
- So you're abusing your power? asked Kamijo.
- I would be the first, the doctor stated.
- What do you want from me? asked Kamijo.
- I want you to help us stop Daeevocate from summoning any demons, said the doctor.
- Yeah sure, said Kamijo.
