Chapter 217 The Heptagonal Alliance
The Giant King was a man of his word. If he said there would be a feast, there would be a feast.
Even though it was now the early hours of the second day, once all the necessary business had been discussed, he immediately summoned the palace chefs to begin preparing food.
And so a lively celebration began.
One had to say that people in this world truly possessed exceptional stamina—especially the extraordinarily powerful. Fighting at full strength for days and nights wasn't a problem, so staying up late for a meal was naturally even less of an issue.
The feast's atmosphere was excellent.
The only minor problem was that the food prepared by the giants was somewhat oversized.
Roasted meat was the size of a room, bowls for soup resembled small ponds, and wine cups looked like deep wells.
However, this had its own unique charm—this was truly eating meat by the mouthful and drinking wine by the barrel.
The Giant King was genuinely enthusiastic, constantly asking Brett and Tesoro about their experiences at sea during the meal.
Clearly, he deeply yearned for life on the ocean. If he weren't a king bearing the responsibility of leading his entire nation forward, he probably would have already set sail as a pirate.
Fortunately, both Tesoro and Brett could offer him plenty of stories.
As a world-class merchant, Tesoro had traveled far and wide and was naturally well-informed. And even though Brett had spent years on Fish-Man Island, he'd once traveled the seas as a member of the Sun Pirates alongside Tiger.
While the three conversed happily, Prince Loki didn't neglect the somewhat detached Katakuri.
The giants did have conflicts with Charlotte Linlin, but this time Katakuri had come as Brett's friend.
So Prince Loki chatted casually with Katakuri as well.
The feast continued until noon, when Brett and the others finally retired to rooms the Giant King had prepared for them.
This was another quite peculiar experience. Brett had never slept in a bed dozens of meters long—he still lived in the small apartment he'd bought in Fish-Man District years ago.
When he woke, it was already evening.
Then came another round of feasting.
"Hahaha! How's that! Have you felt the giants' hospitality, Brett?" In the spacious and rustic palace banquet hall, the Giant King raised his cup high and laughed heartily.
Brett lifted his enormously oversized cup and smiled back.
Time quickly reached the third day.
That day, during breakfast, a certain someone arrived.
"Hahahaha! You actually did it, Brett! How impressive!" The impeccably dressed birdman strode quickly through doors that were unusually massive even for him, his avian face full of excited smiles.
"Oh! You're here, Morgans!" Tesoro greeted him warmly. "Does this mean all the preparations are complete?"
"Ready to begin at any time." Morgans shrugged. "Hehe, but before that, Brett—"
He looked toward Brett. "What do you say—should we announce the alliance's formation to the entire world?"
"If your answer is yes, I can immediately send the whole world into shock!"
"Of course we should!" The Giant King laughed heartily as he entered. "Of course we must let the whole world know!"
Brett nodded lightly as well. "If we don't go public, how will people around the world know that we disadvantaged minority groups have united and are no longer theirs to bully at will?"
Morgans' expression became somewhat peculiar.
He could understand longarm and longlegs tribes being bullied, but the giants and Fish-Man Island as it existed now—who would dare bare their teeth at you?
But his inner thoughts didn't prevent Morgans from showing an excited smile. "Understood! Hahaha! I'll spread this news across the world immediately!"
Being friends with these people was wonderful—there would never be a shortage of big news!
Morgans' heart filled with delight.
Katakuri, eating breakfast in the dining hall with them, wasn't particularly surprised that Brett and Tesoro had such a good relationship with Morgans.
The fact that the three had opened an entertainment company together wasn't a secret to the Charlotte Family.
"Also," Tesoro added, "the preliminary work for the auditions is complete. Time to start promoting."
"Oh! Is that so?" Morgans nodded cheerfully. "That's another big news story. And before long, it'll be the Reverie. Hahahaha! It seems the world is about to become quite lively."
Hearing Morgans mention it reminded Brett—indeed, the Reverie wasn't far off.
Fish-Man Island would likely be invited to attend this time.
So what moves would the World Government's Five Elders make?
"Speaking of auditions," the Giant King stroked his long beard thoughtfully, "Tesoro, are you sure you don't need to select candidates through combat?"
Tesoro's mouth twitched. "Let's skip that. We're selecting celebrity performers, not warriors."
"Such a shame. I believe only true warriors deserve worldwide fame!" the Giant King said regretfully.
You clearly don't understand how the entertainment economy works.
Brett smiled.
In any case, with Morgans' arrival, the promotional work officially began.
He immediately drafted news articles and sent them back to headquarters at the first opportunity.
Then the World Economic News Agency's worldwide news network sprang into action. Countless branch offices began printing, producing newspapers at record speed.
Next came the News Coos' work time.
They loaded up with bagfuls of newspapers, spread their pristine white wings, and flew off to every corner of the sea.
Then, when the equally white newspapers scattered like snowflakes across the entire world, the whole world was shocked by the news printed on them.
"The Giant Kingdom and Fish-Man Island have formed an alliance!"
"Are you kidding me? The strongest army dominating the land has joined forces with the Emperor ruling the deep sea!"
"How can this be happening? Who in the world can compete with them now? Apart from the World Government, even the New World's Emperors would pale in comparison to this force!"
"And it's not just Fish-Man Island and the giants—there's also the Mink Tribe, Longarm Tribe, Longlegs Tribe, and Snakeneck Tribe! Setting aside the other three races, the Mink Tribe of the New World is also an extremely powerful group!"
"Wait, what's the Tontatta Tribe? I've never even heard of them!"
"The Heptagonal Alliance—they're going to change the entire world's power structure!"
