Macaque and Wukong have some interesting methods on looking after Miwa, in their own way.

*The early morning, at Miwa's apartment.*
Miwa slowly started waking up, hearing the sound of something coming from the kitchen. Letting out a yawn she tried sitting up but winched in pain and lay back down.
"Well morning to you, little star. How are you feeling?" Macaque walked out from the kitchen and into the living room with two plates of food for the both of them.
"...Like shit." said Miwa, not in the mood for much. "I should call work, and let Pigsy know I'm not coming in for work today."
Macaque took a chair and sat down close to the couch she was laying on. "Up for telling me who did that to you?"
Miwa felt a cold sweat running down her back from the memories of what happened last night, and was scared of running into the fake mayor again. ".....N-no, I just got into an a-accident."
Macaque raised a questionable eyebrow. "An accident? That's what you're going with. Freckles, you know keeping it to yourself isn't gonna make it better." He slowly helped her sit up, making sure to be gentle so she wouldn't be in too much pain.
Tears started forming in her eyes and had her tails wrap around his. "I-I know.....but I just don't feel ready to talk about it."
Macaque let out a sigh by how stubborn she was being about this, but he couldn't really blame her for not being ready. "Fine, I'll leave it alone for now. But until you're better we aren't doing any training."
"Thanks, papa." Miwa used one of her tails to help her eat her breakfast, though it wasn't all that easy.
"Anything for you little one." Macaque ruffled her hair with a soft smile before eating his own food.
Miwa gave a small smile but it quickly disappeared as her thoughts went back to what the fake mayor said to her, while trying to kill her which only scared her even more. "I'm not sure if it was a good or bad thing dad fed me that peach of immortality, I can't be killed...but that doesn't mean I can't feel pain when I get attacked."
Miwa took a glance at her broken arm that was now in a sling, while wrapped up in bandages. "Stupid arm, even Redson and his mother took advantage of it when fighting. And then that stupid mayor guy broke it, probably knowing it was my weakness."
"I don't think using a staff when fighting is a good fit for you." said Macaque, catching on to how she was looking at her arm.
Miwa snapped out of her thoughts and looked over at Macaque with a raised eyebrow. "Why not? Mk, Wukong and you use a staff when fighting."
"Doesn't mean a staff is a good fit for everyone when fighting." Macaque put his empty plate to the side. "Did you even try fighting back against your attacker, or even used what I taught you?"
A frown started forming in Miwa's face before letting out a sigh. "I tried....but I was already pretty exhausted from fighting Redson and Princess Iron Fan, who both took advantage of my weak arm...I was caught off guard by my attacker, and couldn't think of a way to fight back."
Macaque gently patted her head, listening closely to what she was telling him. "Makes an even better reason to change to a different weapon, one where you don't have to rely too much on both arms."
"B-But Wukong gave me that staff, if I threw it away he might get upset." said Miwa glancing at the staff laying on the floor.
Macaque rolled his eyes and let out scoff. "You shouldn't worry about what he thinks, if he really cared he wouldn't have given you a staff."
"Maybe he didn't think it would affect me that much." said Miwa, but couldn't help wondering about what he said, Wukong did give her a staff without much thought to it.
"Doesn't excuse him for not thinking about his student's condition." Macaque got up from his seat and went to pick up the staff, giving it a good look. "Doesn't even look to last for much longer before it breaks."
"Then what's your excuse? You didn't say anything about it whenever we were training." Miwa narrowed her eyes at him, and looked back at the staff. "What?"
"I didn't say anything since there weren't any problems, but that doesn't mean that I didn't keep an eye out for any side effects." Macaque took a swing with the staff on a table, breaking both of them at the same time.
"What the fuck?! You didn't have to break my table to prove a point, papa!" Miwa shouted, but winched and leaned back from the pain she got from moving too much.
"It was gonna break anyway, might as well have it do it now. Instead in the middle of a fight." Macaque dropped the broken staff into a shadow portal, and walked back over. Taking both of their plates and bringing them back to the kitchen.
Miwa let out a heavy sigh in frustration and in pain. "This is such bullshit." She pulled out her phone and sent a text to Pigsy and Mk, letting them know she wouldn't be able to work since she got into an accident on her way home.
"So how long are you staying here this time?" Miwa looked slightly over the couch towards the kitchen.
"For another hour or so, but taking that you just texted your friends on your phone. Probably a little less." Macaque cleaned up the dirty dishes and returned into the living room.
"Right, because you don't want any attention brought to you. Most of all with Wukong knowing you are around." Miwa rolled her eyes with a sigh. "Why can't my parents just meet up and have a talk? I can understand if they are divorced, but still."
"Don't give me that attitude, little shadow." Macaque slightly bonked her on the head. "While I wanna stay and look after you, I have my own plans."
Miwa pouted, rubbing her head where he hit her though it didn't really hurt. "And what are those plans?"
"Like I'm gonna tell you what my plans are." Macaque smirked, ruffling her hair and chuckled when she tried batting his hand away.
Miwa let out an annoyed huff until there was a knock at the door. "I'll take it." She tried getting up from the couch, but almost fell back down because of the pain going through her body.
Macaque quickly stopped her fall and helped her get up on her feet. "Take it slow, little star. Wouldn't want you opening up those wounds."
"...Yes papa, thanks." Miwa gave him a small smile before limping over to the front door, while Macaque hid in the shadows so he could still be close without being seen.
Miwa opened the door and was surprised to see both Mei and Mk standing there.
"Miwa?!" Mei and Mk had rushed over after getting her text and were shocked to see the condition she was in.
"Hey guys." Miwa gave an awkward smile when she saw them. "What's with the visit?"
"We were still worried about you after the fight yesterday, but we let it be since you asked us to. But when I got your text I-we rushed here to check on how you were doing, and by the Buddha, you don't look good." Mk went on to explain with pure concern for her well being.
"It's a good thing you can't die, but still you should have called us when it happened. We could have helped." said Mei just as concerned while holding a bag. "We also brought you some noodles, by Pigsy's suggestion."
Tears slowly formed in Miwa's eyes but she quickly wiped them away. "Thanks for the concern guys, really I mean it. But I've already had breakfast, so I'm not that hungry."
"Oh that's completely fine, you can always eat it later." Mk and Mei entered her home and brought the noodles to the kitchen.
"By the way, how are you able to make food with just one arm?" Mk questioned, raising an eyebrow.
Miwa closed the door after them and slowly followed after them by limping. "I had some leftovers in the fridge, so I didn't have to do much."
Mk and Mei watched her movement and gave each other a concerned look as Mei spoke up. "Mimi, how serious are your injuries really?"
"...I'm not actually sure, I was in a rush trying to treat myself last night and didn't take much notice of how bad it really was." Miwa explained, but honestly she didn't really know and she wasn't sure she wanted to know.
"Do you remember who it was that did this to you? I'm pretty sure if you gave me a good description, I'll be able to find the culprit in no time." said Mei holding up her phone, ready to make a call to who knows.
Miwa's face grew pale by the thought of the fake mayor, sweat running down her face as she shook her head. "N-no I don't remember, it was already pretty d-dark when it happened."
"Hey don't think about it too much, Lulu, the good thing is that you are alright now." Mk tried to lighten the mood, he placed a hand on her shoulder which caused her to winch.
"Lulu?" Miwa raised a questionable eyebrow while slowly removing his hand from her shoulder.
A blush grew on Mk's face and he tried clearing his throat. "W-well I thought it would be a good nickname to your hero name. But if you don't like it I'll just drop it."
Now Miwa was the one who started blushing and rubbed the back of her neck. "N-no I don't mind it, I actually find it very pretty."
Mei watched both of them closely with a smirk on her face, and sneakily took a picture of them on her phone. "So cute."
Miwa cleared her throat as she tried composing herself. "Anyway, since I'm not in the best condition you might have to tell Wukong, the last thing I want is him wondering why I haven't come to train with him."
"Oh yeah I can do that, easy peachy!" said Mk smiling at her.
"What happened to your table?" Mei had noticed her table laying on the floor broken.
"Oh ummm, I stumbled into it when I got back last night." said Miwa, giving a nervous smile.
"But why is there a dent on it?" Mei pointed to the spot where Macaque had hit it with her staff.
"Papa, I hate you so much for this." Miwa sent a cold glare towards the shadows before turning her attention back to the others. "I dropped something on it a few days ago."
"What did you drop, for it to leave such a dent?" Mk joined in and was taking a closer look at it.
"Ummm, a heavy toolbox?" Miwa kept giving a nervous smile, not sure how to better explain it.
Suddenly Mk's phone started ringing and he quickly picked it up. "Mk here."
"What is taking you so long! We have orders piling up over here!" shouted Pigsy through the phone.
Miwa let out a soft giggle at this. "Sounds like you're gonna be busy with work. Sorry for putting the extra work on you."
"Oh don't worry about it, Lulu. It's not your fault you ended up like that." said Mk smiling at her. "I'll be right there Pigsy!" He ended the call and rushed out of the apartment.
"Looks like it's just us two then, girl time!" Mei smiled and jumped onto the couch. "And I have the perfect thing for us to watch, it just came out a week ago."
Miwa gave a slight smile watching Mk leave before it faded away. ".....I wouldn't have ended up like this if I hadn't let my guard down....and that fake mayor was right about me still being alive. I shouldn't be and yet I am because of dad."
"Mimi, did you hear me? Are you alright?" Mei questioned when she didn't get an answer.
"Hm? Oh yeah I heard you, sorry, guess I'm still shaken up about last night." said Miwa limping over to the couch and took a seat beside her, winching slightly from the pain.
"That's understandable, anyone would be like that if something like that happened to them." Mei grabbed the remote and began going through the channels.
Miwa gave a small nod wrapping her tails around herself. "Doesn't help that I can't fight with a weak arm."
"Don't say that, just because you can't use one of your arms. Doesn't mean you can't use your powers." said Mei leaning back on the couch after finding what she was looking for.
Miwa let out a heavy sigh and decided to watch the show on the TV that Mei had wanted them to watch.
*Six hours later.*
"Well it was nice spending time with you Mimi, I'm still sad you can't join me and Mk at the arcade to play together." said Mei walking over to the front door, with Miwa slowly behind her.
Miwa was shaking her head with a small smile. "It's alright Mei, maybe when I'm all better we can play some games at the arcade."
"Sounds like a plan to me, and remember if anything comes up you can call me or Mk. We'll be here in a heartbeat." said Mei pulling Miwa into a hug, being very careful to not bring her any discomfort.
Miwa returned the hug, though had to hold in from making a painful sound as they pulled away. "I know, thanks Mei. I'm happy I have you two as my best friends."
Mei let out a chuckle walking out of the door. "You mean your best friend and future boyfriend!"
"M-Mei?!" Miwa shouted, her face turning all red as Mei rushed out of the apartment laughing.
Miwa let out a frustrated groan as she facepalmed, her hand slowly going down her face. Letting out a slight winch from one of the scratches on her face. "Why, just why."
Closing the door with a sigh, Miwa turned around and walked back into the living room. Taking a glance over at her broken table. "Another thing to add to my 'remember-to-steal-list,' seriously. Did it really have to be my table of all things?"
Miwa was shaking her head and looked at her broken arm. "A new weapon, but what kind of weapon? And how do I explain to dad what happened to my staff?"
"What happened to your staff?" a voice asked from behind her, causing Miwa to let out a scream and turned around a little too quickly, as she lost balance and started falling.
"Woah! Sorry, Sunny." Wukong quickly caught her, saving her from falling to the floor but didn't stop her from letting a painful winch.
"What the fuck dad! Don't just sneak up on someone like that!" Miwa narrowed her eyes at him, slightly annoyed as she got out of his hold though let out another winch as she could feel her left side hurting.
Wukong decided to ignore her swearing as he took a better notice of her covered in bandages and band aids, along with the painful sound she made. "How did this happen?"
".....I got caught off guard on my way home yesterday." Miwa avoided his eyes, robbed her arm slightly. "...My attacker tried to kill me."
"What?" Wukong stared long at her before placing his hands on both of her shoulders. "Who was trying to kill you?"
Miwa grew slightly nervous with the look he was giving her, clearly concerned and trying to hide his anger. "....It...I....." She shook her head just thinking about the mayor as she started shaking a bit again.
Wukong took notice of her hesitation and the look of fear in her eyes along with her body shaking, he let out a sigh to calm his inner anger. Looking at her with a softer look in his eyes. "Hey, it's alright Peaches. I'm just glad you got away."
"....Not unscratched." Miwa looked down at the floor with a sad look in her eyes.
Wukong tried thinking of something, anything that could cheer her up in some way. Then an old thought came to mind and he decided to go with it. Without even a warning he picked Miwa up, and walked over to a window summoning a cloud and got on it.
"Wha-Dad, what are you doing?!" Miwa was caught off guard when she suddenly got picked up, and they then got on his cloud. Now flying away from her apartment.
"I'm taking you back to Flower Fruit Mountain, no way I'm leaving you alone like this. With the chance of your attacker showing up to hurt you again." Wukong told her, holding her close in his arms, to keep her safe.
"Dad! This is literally kidnapping!? I didn't consent to this! And what am I gonna tell the others?!" Miwa did not like this, mostly not by being caught off guard.
"Relax Miwa, think of it as you coming back home. After all, you were raised there to begin with." Wukong gave her cheeky smile, to which she gave him a deadpanned look.
"Dad, I take back what I said to you. I hate you." Miwa was not pleased about this, not one bit. "And you still didn't answer my question about not letting the others know."
Wukong playfully rolled his eyes and gently patted her head. "We can tell the kid when he comes back to train tomorrow, and then he can let the others know."
"But that is just gonna add questions! Mk and the others will start asking about why I'm staying at your place! I thought we agreed to keep our family relationship a secret!" Miwa used her one good hand, grabbing Wukong by the collar and started shaking him.
"You worry too much, Miwa." said Wukong and soon noticed Flower Fruit Mountain coming into view. "By the way, mind telling me what happened to your staff? You mentioned it earlier."
Miwa slightly froze in his arms, hardly moving her body as she grew a little nervous. "It....broke." She gave him a nervous smile.
Wukong had a blank look on his face when she told him that. "Oh, that's all? I thought you might have lost it."
"You're not upset?" Miwa asked, expecting him to be upset at her for breaking it.
Wukong let out a chuckle at her confused look. "Why would I be upset? It's just a weapon, they break all the time. Just means it couldn't withstand your strength."
They arrived inside Flower Fruit Mountain, and landed by Wukong's cabin as the cloud disappeared. Making sure Miwa got on the ground safely.
"...Oh, I see." Miwa was still a little surprised but let out a relieved sigh. "Papa breaks my staff and table, and dad kidnaps me. What kind of parents do I have?"
"Now let me show you where you're gonna sleep." Wukong led the way into his home, and towards a door.
"For a cabin I'm surprised how much space it has inside." Miwa slowly followed him inside, still limping a bit. "Dad, I was actually wondering if I should try a different weapon. While using a staff is pretty easy, it doesn't help when I have a weak arm."
"huh? Sure we can try a different weapon. But not until you've fully recovered." Wukong opened the door to a dusty old room, with random stuff taking up space.
Miwa took a look inside the room, scrunching her face and let out a sneeze. "Seriously, you're having sleep in that room. At this point I might as well take the couch."
Wukong let out a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of his head. "Haven't had time to clean up."
"...I can see that clearly." said Miwa, giving him a deadpan look. "What even is this room?"
"It used to be your old room, when you still lived with us." Wukong explained, a soft smile on his face.
"Us? So I had another parent besides you." Miwa wasn't that surprised, but still raised an eyebrow.
Wukong's eyes widened, realizing his mistake and grew a bit nervous on talking about this. ""Well yeah, but he isn't around anymore."
Miwa tilted her head a little to the side. "Why not? What happened?"
Wukong gave her a sorrowful look, taking a heavy sigh. "He's dead."
"What?" Miwa was a little shocked to hear this, even though she knew Macaque was actually alive.
"Sorry to tell you this, Princess." Wukong patted her head, not sure what else to do. "But let's not focus on that, how about I clean up this room while you take a seat on the couch."
"What, but aren't you gonna tell me how he died or his name?" Miwa found it strange he didn't seem to want to talk about it, let alone tell her anything else.
"Sunshine, just go and rest. You need it." Wukong walked into the old room and began cleaning it up, creating a few clones to help.
Miwa just stood by the doorway, a bit disappointed that he simply dropped the topic like that. "Why doesn't he wanna tell me? I have a right to know, even though I already know who my papa is." Letting out a sigh she walked away and over to the couch, taking a seat in it.
At some point while sitting on the couch, a few monkeys showed up and gathered around Miwa. Either talking or playing a bit around. Some even started grooming her hair.
When Wukong had finished cleaning the room, he walked out and took in the sight of Miwa being surrounded by monkeys. A few were clinging to her and at least two monkeys were grooming her hair.
Wukong let out a soft chuckle, smiling at what he was seeing. "I never thought I would see my little monkey, back here and surrounded by my subjects. How cute."
