Great Wonder POV
Vic passed me by as I entered the building where the meeting was being held. Vic also nearly ran into me with how much she was rushing. She had that determination in her eyes that made her such a great leader. Her desire to always protect and care for us also helped. I had heard most of my teammates went in here for who knows what.
I feel I had to stop their shenanigans before they got any more out of hand tonight. Thank goodness KiWi is already with Jo or this night would have been even more problematic than earlier today. The rest of the leadership also seemed not to be helping with the situation, but contributing to the madness. Still, I could not just go up to others and tell them not to do something when they have not done anything as of yet. I would seem like a crazy Karen who bossed people around.
I also did not need to cause trouble in the team that would lead to its demise through internal turmoil. I had to be swift and invisible and make moves in the shadows. Then strike without them knowing what I had done. First I must observe my opponents and gather the information I need. Second I must come up with a strategy to neutralize all of them to my advantage.
Finally, I must take advantage of their current state to advance myself and my group and claim victory. Which is the same strategy I use to win relays and do business. I soon found the building's security room as all the building's had their own with security assigned to each one. I snooped around earlier as most of the security personnel were short-staffed and busy with dealing with other operations this room was empty yet operational. I soon get inside the room using my lock-picking skills I learned on YouTube back on earth and look into the already turned on security cameras.
I watched everything happening inside the building everyone within it. I saw everyone in the team waiting for someone specifically to come out of the room where the meeting was held. I could also see and hear the meeting itself. I couldn't help myself and heard everything happening. I heard the organization's concerns and upcoming events which were very interesting.
I watched Hachi and Juna apologize for their stupidity. I witnessed Iguro report his earth-shattering and important duties to protect the organization and everyone within it. I even saw the boss herself take charge of planning out future events. I finally even saw Ayana's very accurate report on our attitudes towards the staff. It made me respect them more and lift that insecurity that the staff might be incompetent which what I see proves they are not.
I soon quickly switched back to watching over my teammates as soon as the meeting ended. I watched as each had interactions with either members of the staff. Mama and Takeshi declared their romantic chase to one another. Which made me make a surprised squeal. Then I saw BlaD and Ana become respectable business partners.
Which I knew would lead to a lot of late nights for the two. Then I watch ImP and Juna become best friends in front of an exasperated Lily. This will also lead to something both fun and stupid I just know it. I soon try to hack into the connection between all the security networks to see footage from other buildings. I had no luck as it did not work.
That's when I felt a hand on my shoulder. Which startled me and caused me to suddenly turn around. I saw it was Iguro who looked absolutely pissed off. Awkward silence reigned as he soon broke it asking me," Would you like to come to my office peacefully or forcefully?" That was enough for me to surrender and agree to be taken to his office.
I was guided and taken to security's main headquarters and to Iguro's office. He didn't take me into interrogation, because I wasn't an outsider who snuck in. There he soon entered and told me," Lady Mina will soon be coming to ask you some questions. For now, though you'll be answering mine." I then responded," Iguro, don't worry I'll cooperate with whatever you need."
I smiled at him which made him recoil back a bit and evaporate all his rage immediately. He soon took a deep breath and got started. He spoke asking," Why did you break into the security camera visual room?" I answered," to watch over my troublemaking teammates who snuck into the building all at once." He acknowledged my answer and soon asked," How did you know they would be in the building that night?"
I replied saying," Ayana told Spice from what I can heard and Spice texted everyone on the team about her hiring. Then Spice gave everyone the information that Ayana gave her to get back into everyone's good graces. You can check my phone as I haven't deleted the text messages just yet." Iguro lay back on his chair and whispered in anger," fucking Spice, goddesses damn that douche." I could hear him clearly with my Uma Musume hearing and he believed me immediately based on his hatred for Spice.
He then pressed a button saying," Vice Captain, have someone check her text messages for authenticity." He then unpressed the button, and I was impressed he wasn't a fool to just believe me even when he knew I was telling the truth. He then continued and asked," now a serious question, what did you hear during the meeting?" I saw this what he was looking for and seeing as being honest had no unintended backlash I chose to answer with it. I told him," I started watching when you arrived as you weren't exactly my main target so starting from there."
I continued saying," Since my targets weren't active at the moment I checked on you all just in case. What I saw was impressive. After tonight some weight was lifted off my shoulders as I now believe you are all very competent staff that we can rely on." I giggled a bit as I admitted that. I saw him smile for the first time, and I must admit he's a handsome Sirius Symboli lookalike.
I then commented saying," Wow you have such a handsome smile." His eyes went wide and he looked away from me saying," Oh... thanks for the compliment." He was trying to hide his smile as I smiled openly. That's when the door to the office opened and made both of us stand up. It was Mina as both Iguro and I immediately stood up and bowed greeting her.
She then looked at both of us and smiled asking," Did I ruin your alone time?" She was teasing us as Iguro responded saying," W... we would never assume you would disrupt us in anything ma'am!" He saluted Mina trying to hide his emotions using duty. Mina and I weren't fooled. We soon calmed down and all sat down.
Mina listened to Iguro's report and listened to the recording of the interrogation earlier. She then looked at me with a positive look and began speaking saying," It seems we're all caught up with each other. I also understand the entire situation and why you did what you did. Now I must ask you GW why do you think you need to be the one to keep your team from trouble?" I honestly told her," well I'm part of the team's leadership that's why."
I continued saying," Vic leads the team and protects them. Mama Blues supports them emotionally and sympathetically. Gray is the brains that gathers information and steers the team accordingly. Rose is the charmer who can get us through anything and get us to befriend anyone. Finally, I keep the team out of trouble, whether the trouble comes from others or themselves."
I keep going saying," I make sure no one screws the team over whether it's from the outside the team or inside it." Mina nodded and took everything and responded," I see, that's a very responsible way to share your duties as leaders of the team. The leader, the mediator, the brains, the charmer, and the disciplinarian. Now that's answers let us move to the next question shall we?" I agreed with a nod towards her as she continued by asking," Why do you need to be the disciplinarian of this team?"
I looked at her like she was oblivious, because I knew she was stupid. I then responded," Ma'am are you serious? How haven't you noticed yet?" She then asked me," noticed what, is it important? Is there something I missed that's really bad?"
I then responded," Have you not noticed this team is a complete cluster fuck of troublemakers and workaholics?" She went silent and then spoke saying," They can't be that bad, can they?" She looked at Iguro and he looked away awkwardly, showing he did know. I groaned and put my fingers to my head to massage away the headache I was getting. Mina, I love you like a sister, but you are dense sometimes.
I then told her," Let me be the first to say I'm in the middle of the spectrum, right between the troublemakers and the workaholics. I am not perfect and sometimes I will need help, but the rest of the team needs more help than I ever would. Let's start with Leadership shall we? Vic is a worrywart who will work till she collapses to take care of this team, Mama Blues says it comes from her insecurities. Speaking of Mama Blues she might look wise and caring, but she becomes hella stupid and near-sighted when she really wants something not seeing the treats using that against her."
I continued," Gray is just insecure about his talent and causes problems before, during, and after races in the most violent way possible. Rose gets caught up in the trouble too easily, especially if it has to do with Sweets, along with her other problems which shall not be spoken here. After leadership is Rain who works so hard physically I'm afraid that if we don't make her rest she'll either collapse or break herself. Lily is so bad at communicating that she picks fights accidentally with strangers, and on purpose against those she sees as her rivals. Steel is so obsessed and addicted to victory that she will challenge anyone, while working even harder to get her next win."
I then drink some water and continue my explanation," After is ImP who is a loud punk who will verbally assault anyone, while being the life of the party. Spice is an absolute asshole. Sweets is a violent version of Rain with a stupid streak longer than her life. BlaD does not rest with his music work and chases better performances like he's suicidal. Jo is a workaholic who will probably send you a new revolutionary research results this morning instead of sleeping."
I then saw Mina become more and more pale at what she overlooked. I finished off with what I was saying," Norn is such a free spirit she only does what she wants and who she wants. Finally, KiWi is a hyperactive ticking time bomb of insanity that can go off at any minute. I love them, but my job exists, because it needs to. I need to stop them from either causing too much trouble or risking their own health like this."
Mina was quiet, very quiet after hearing all of this. Iguro came to her and said," Ma'am I know this might be a blow, but we can work together to fix all of this." She then spoke saying," What can we even do to stop this behavior and punish them that won't make them leave the organization?" I respectfully interrupted her saying," I can answer that question." She looked at me with hope and now I have all I need to have the authority to control those fools.
She soon asked," Really, what can I do GW?" I joyfully answered her saying," Easy you control their supplies and gear, so make sure you limit their access to said gear and supplies and put a curfew. This will stop the workaholics from working in their rooms and accessing places instead of sleeping. Then for the troublemakers make sure to have leadership have access to you and security to stop their shenanigans. Punish them like children as well if they're going to act like it."
She began laughing after a long pause, which showed she loved the idea. I soon continued saying," Yes, now if you give me a way to instantly communicate with you I can also act as your spy within the team." Iguro and Mina loved it, and soon it all ended. I was let go without punishment with a new app on my phone as the deal was made. I soon decided to go to bed as I was going to enjoy my preparations blossom.
That's when Iguro came in front of me. He then said to me," That's very impressive wheeling and dealing you did in there." I then smirked at him saying," I know, really didn't think it would work, but I got more than what I was expecting to get as well." He then came close to me and I backed up for some reason. Why am I doing this, I'm physically way stronger than he is, so why am I being shy around him? Soon enough I was cornered on the wall with him slamming his hand to block my escape route on the left and using his body to block my escape route on the right.
Goddesses he was bigger than I was, I guess that growing up in America background wasn't just words on a page. He then came close to me face to face and I realized what I was in. It was a kabedon. He then spoke saying," No matter how witty, beautiful, and charming you may be I'm watching you after that stunt you pulled off today." I was blushing as he soon walked away leaving me a blushing mess.
I soon walked back to my room in a daze as throughout it all I could only now think of that moment. Even as I went to bed I thought of that moment until I slept naturally. I awoke the next morning and I still remember it and soon I exploded in embarrassment. Why did he do that? Does he like me, or is this a misunderstanding?
How am I going to face him now? I soon pouted about the situation and soon started prepping to keep my mind off it. Still, every time I thought of it I couldn't stop pouting. Even as I left my room and ran into Mama Blues on the way to breakfast I couldn't stop pouting as I could only think of last night. We soon arrived, and as soon as we all did Spice asked," How was last night everybody?"
After a united middle finger to that asshole things fell into chaos. It started with KiWi of course like always. Jo and her relationship went nuclear it seems as she spilled water on Jo and Jo did not calm the situation down. The fight began and the mess spread everywhere. I quickly moved aside as they were so distracted that they did not notice me texting Mina to report them.
Soon Mina arrived without them noticing, still to Vic's credit she stopped the chaos and fighting. After a speech and announcement, they all finally noticed Mina, Iguro, and Takeshi, whom they brought along. Everyone became absolutely silent. After grounding the team she looked at me and nodded at me without anyone noticing. My setup is now complete and I walk away in victory without anyone noticing how amazing I am.
