Steel Valkyrie POV
"~ I'm walking on sunshine Ayyye~," I sang as I walked to the coach's office. Today was a great day so far as all possible love rivals have been eliminated. Mama Blues is falling for Takeshi, and Norn is falling for Suzu. Then GW who I believe is into Iguro, and Gray loving Rain. Next was BlaD who fell for Ana and Sweets who is Lily's.
All of those who looked at Trainer Tsukasa like that have been redirected to other targets making this my win. I do love me some wins. Now let's be serious today's events were wild and we got ourselves an effective staff. I believe so, even with Hachi's introduction being a mess, cause I believe in the boss Mina's choices when it comes to these things. Then the thing ended with us all agreeing to call each other by our casual names as we all decided to be one happy family, it was great.
Now I arrived to talk to coach Tsukasa, and probably declare my love for him. I'm so inexperienced with this. I remember sabotaging my dates and relationships not building them. I'm so nervous right now. I soon entered the building, and suddenly I saw a bunch of security guards waiting outside with servants.
That's when all of a sudden security using a battering ram bursts the door open and Tsukasa screams. One of them yelled," Coach Tsukasa Lady Mina demands you rest and knows you have violated curfew and nighttime work prohibition rules." They begin to drag him out as he screams," No! This training schedule and competition schedule must be perfect! I don't need such trivial policies interrupting my work!"
He continued struggling yelling," Unhand me at once you brutes! I must keep working to make this team a success!" One old butler responded saying," We appreciate your dedication Sir Takajima, but you must rest or it will harm your health." Then a security officer followed it up saying," yeah you fucking workaholic you can barely stay awake. What can you do at this state? Stop fucking struggling."
Tsukasa tried to argue, but none of them were listening to him as they took him away. I was absolutely speechless as they dragged him away. The security and half the servants dealt with him, while the rest of the servants began to repair the door and clean up the room. I asked the old servant," The hell was that about? I wanted to talk to him."
The old man responded saying," Oh lady Steel you must be surprised I apologize for the events. We were ordered to make sure he slept, because he's been working for 3 days straight with no rest. He has also snuck back into his office at night multiple times so we must keep watch over him." That was understandable, can't have the coach dying now can we? I nodded as I walked into the office and inside I saw folders and files everywhere.
The servants began to quickly gather all the training plans so I couldn't see what the coach had planned for us. Still, I look around and see our data and it was accurate like crazy. Then I see names with the word 'Threats' on top. It was separated into two lists 'Race Opponents' and 'Outside Threats'. On outside threats, there was the pop music cult, the golden gambler's mafia, and even the Noble Racing League.
There were criminal organizations and powerful teams to face. It had everything. Then the in-race threats, there was the rogue captain Faded God, the super heroine Super Crash, the beauty Red Vizor, the unstoppable Dreadnought, and finally current G.O.A.T Van Gophe. Those were the names that were on top of the list. It even had their current status, as Faded God says free agent, and Van Gophe says injured.
It seems there are some worthy rivals to farm victories off of. I believe in preparation so after the servants left with the training paperwork I soon began reading and looking up all the threats on the board. Looking through each of the files and reading articles online. I read and noted things down in my notes app on my phone. Then I began brainstorming ways to protect myself and others against the outside threats.
This all might even need us working with the staff as much as possible even if we don't want to. Still, it was better than nothing and soon I began prepping at this moment. That's when I heard a voice saying," hello Steel how are you?" I looked up at the voice and saw it was Tsukasa." I was startled and after standing up straight I asked," What are you doing here coach, shouldn't you be in bed tonight?"
He then chuckled saying," Tonight, it's 8 in the morning, Miss Steel. I soon looked at the clock on my phone and saw he wasn't lying. I was researching all night. I soon got up and apologized saying," Sorry Coach, I was just researching the threats list." I soon tried to run out before he could say anything.
I was then stopped by him blocking the door as he asked me," Just a moment Steel, I need to ask you something." I then tried to escape saying," Can this wait, I need to get to morning breakfast with the rest of the team." He then replied," No it cannot, please sit down this will only be a moment." I then sighed and sat in front of his desk. He then spoke saying," Last night I saw you outside my office as I was being escorted to my room, so why were you there?"
" That's a fine way to say get dragged away to be forced to sleep," I sarcastically replied. I soon covered my mouth as I did that without thinking. I have officially lost control and I'm so nervous and tired, which I just realized, that I'm just saying what's in my head. He chuckled and he replied," That's a good one, now answer the question." I then began thinking of a million lies I could tell right now.
That's when in all the confusion I blurted out," Cause I wanted to ask you out on a date." FUCK!!!! Oh, three goddesses what have I done? I wasn't having a complete meltdown inwardly as he was speechless. I soon began crumbling outwardly as well as he soon smiled saying," I would love to."
What? I was absolutely speechless as he smiled saying," Confused there huh? Let's be honest Steel, you're an adult, and so am I. Even if we work in the same place we won't get in trouble. Plus I've lived my life not having a girlfriend, if a pretty one asks me out, it might be the change of pace I need."
He then got up opened the door of the office saying," I'm excited to see what we can be, so I'll send you the time, date, and location of the date. Now get out of here you're late for your breakfast meeting." I soon walked out as he handed me a piece of paper and soon he closed the door. That's when he heard a loud noise outside his door. That was me screaming in celebration.
FUCK YES! I had a date with him. I wanted to celebrate, but I'm fucking exhausted. It soon dawned on me, oh three goddesses what am I going to wear? I need some preparation, are we going out to eat or do I need to bring food?
I have a lot of preparations to do. I have no experience in real dating that I'm not trying to sabotage. Finally, I have to do it in a few days. I soon used the piece of paper to add his phone number to my phone. Then I call it, and he answers," Checking if the number is real I see, smart." He soon hangs up before I could respond.
Next, I worry as I head to the cafeteria for breakfast. When I get there I look around and see everyone also had a busy night. Some looked like they didn't get any sleep, and others looked absolutely miserable. I sat down and after we all sat down Spice mockingly asked," How was last night everybody?" I know ImP might have asked first, but we all still flipped him off.
Still unexpectedly right after that showing of unity KiWi got up and caused chaos. She simply got up and spilled water on Jo. That's when everyone immediately knew something between them happened when Jo didn't calmly handle this but started swinging instead. Chaos ensued as the fight spread everywhere causing an all-out brawl. What I did see was instead of GW playing the voice of reason to try to stop the fight she texted someone instead.
Vic ever our great leader though immediately got everyone to stop and after a speech, he calmed everyone down. Still, it was too late as Mina, Iguro, and Takeshi already arrived. Punishment occurred grounding is until training camp, and making sure my date has now been delayed until after training camp. Goddesses damn it all of you. Still, I look all around I see Rain pick up Gray who couldn't move thanks to muscle fatigue.
I saw GW celebrating her work thinking no one noticed, and Spice smiling at everyone's idiocy. I saw Vic try to hold in a migraine, and Mama was happy she saw Takeshi. I then saw ImP and BlaD help each other up and Lily help Jo up as well. Kiwi got up still glaring at Jo, but Sweets was holding her back. I saw Norn and Rose talking as I realized we might have just been fighting minutes ago, but we'll somehow be fine right after, and that this is only the true beginning of our journey.
