Fan Boy Jerome POV
Oh yeah baby my pals and I are back watching FSRL. We brought all of our fam here today to get them to like the sports we love. Still, we had long accepted this might be the last time. Then the Bloody fucking Broncos arrived and made everyone into instant fans. Yes, baby we're gonna be here forever.
Even my daughter who loved to work out like me and was the biggest critic of me loving this league became a fan. First race was epic as a coach myself and a fitness expert I read the bodies of all the competitors. First was Ruby and she was agile, but I also noticed she naturally avoided being touched by the other competitors. Still, I can't tell if that was strategic or something else. She soon danced around them making them look slow.
She then gave the baton to the Vice Captain herself, and she was built for speed. She ran like a flash of light, but I still wondered if she could take blockage with that reckless speed. She soon broke the record and handed it to Amber. Amber ran like a machine with consistent pace and form, but I noticed something. Her speed was the same as everyone in the tournament, does that mean something is wrong or she's not as good as her teammates?
She soon finished giving the baton to Crimson who is really good. She ran like a master. Everything was high her stats, her skill, and her form, she had the best abilities I've seen so far from this team. Still, her interview made me respect her as I learned she does this for the love of the game. My daughter even asked me, " Daddy why is she crying?"
I told her," She loves the game so much that she's sad to one can catch up to race with her." She then said," Oh, that's sad, maybe one day I can race with her." That made me so proud of her that I told her," Maybe one day honey, cause I believe in you." I then lifted her up and we laughed before I put her back down. Soon the marathon ended and I thought marathons were boring.
Trust me I watched a lot of them, and I even encouraged my family and friends to get some food and use the bathroom. We did and when we got back to the scene we had left earlier looked different. Everyone was standing engaged with the screen watching the race with interest. I asked Sarah who got back earlier to watch our stuff and let Roger go to the restroom what was going on. She replied," Jerome you gotta see this Ivory is doing a master class on the marathon."
I was shocked at what I heard, she continued saying," She's also redefining the marathon scene and changing everyone's belief all at once." We all came to our seats and watched the big screen. It was a master class all right, I can't believe someone so small has such durability, and endurance. Her pace was masterful, her breathing precise, and her skill surgical. She then once all her foes either fell or were far behind exploded in a final step.
She was chasing victory and got there with a lot of minutes before the next race clock expired. That was the greatest performance in a marathon I've ever seen. She then did her interview once the clock hit zero. In one speech the race was reborn and she crowned herself king. I saw many wanting to challenge her for her crown and many more wanting to drop kick her off of it.
Soon the next race began and it was an obstacle race. Which is the race my wife hates the most? Then Viridian arrived and she danced around each of them like she was a father in the wind. She was skilled and incredibly flexible and mixing it with her agility made her terrifying. She used parkour and martial arts with brutal efficiency only using them to crush her opponents.
The race ended in her victory winning in a way that now every person in this building has a crush on her. Even Sarah's daughter and my daughter looked up to her. Now it was time for the last race and competing were Ebony, Primrose, Ash, and Azure. One of them seems to be the team captain as well. Ebony started and she was good at the obstacle section, and great at the flat section.
The girl seems to be born for dirt, and can glide through it. Still, I love how she adapted to the situation by using techniques to get ahead. She soon got into a mess though as the baton pass area is considered an obstacle zone, and she was exhausted. Still, Primrose came in and protected her saying," Ebony get out of the field, you're exhausted, Ash and I have got this mess." Dang that's the captain all right.
She no longer just Primrose she's Captain Primrose. Ebony soon ran as fast as she could out and the captain with the baton immediately ran towards her. She immediately shuffled out of the way, then she glided and tripped up everyone as they landed on their faces onto the floor. She dodged people over, under, and even threw people over her shoulder. Then she saw two people come at her from both sides, she jumped headlocked both Uma Musume and DDTed both to the ground.
She soon kicked and back-flipped out of someone trying to stomp her down before drop-kicking that person. She backflipped off that person and landed on the two people chasing her. She soon stood up from her squat position and saw an opening before running away. Too bad the lead-offs of the other teams arrived and handed the baton to their teammates who might be slow at getting up, but soon got going. Damn during that whole sequence, I believe every grown person got turned on at how cool the captain was.
Soon enough all of them ran with many of them chasing after the captain who was adapting to the terrain easily. She ran like a cat then like a gorilla swinging and jumping through each obstacle. It was free running with non-traditional parkour. Someone soon caught up and tried to whack her from above, but the captain found a bat and spun throwing it towards the girl and hitting her in the face full force. She then twisted mid-air and ran fast as many others tried to go for strikes, but she dodged and countered the whole time.
She even dodged a kick and round-houses the attacker in the face. She soon spun again landed and used her finishing kick on her non-dominant leg to burst through the rest of the obstacle section. She jumped, swung, spun, and zoomed through until she got out. Then used a second finishing kick on her dominant leg to burst through the flat section. Damn, she did two finishing kicks, fucking revolutionary, others relentlessly chased her, but they were behind already.
She ran and ran until she saw the end and we all saw every other competitor was down at the finish line except for one. It was Agent Ash, and she dealt with everyone. What the hell happened as we looked away? Everyone but her was bruised, bloodied, or hurt badly. Ash then yelled at the Captain," Primrose jump flip through the finish line."
The captain did just that and gave her the baton as soon as she got close. The captain asked," What the fuck happened here?" Ash just replied," You were hot out there captain, go to the bench and watch the replay if you wanna know, see ya." She left and the captain looked at Azure who looked speechless at what she saw. The captain left the field and I also need to see that replay on screen.
Victory Gate POV
Ebony soon left and I was left fighting on my own. I had to get out of this encirclement. Soon someone came and I panicked and did what I could to survive. I adapted and reacted to everything, but soon I saw an opening and went for it. Still, I saw the lead-offs approaching as I left, so I had to go faster or they'd come for me for sure.
Oh my gosh, I have to go faster as I saw something to defend myself with I grabbed it. Still, I was panicking and rushing I just spun and threw it at the sky for some reason. Stupid! Why did I do that? I ran using a skill the coach taught me to get away, but I think I did it wrong.
Oh man, I gotta get out of this area now and get it together. I ran and dealt with a lot of people. I must look like a complete dork to everyone. I soon got up and did the technique again, but correctly this time. I did it I ran as fast as I could, but my legs hurt, and those were just minor techniques. Oh man, I'm such a loser.
I kept running and soon enough finished the section. I was about to enter the finish line before Gray yelled," Primrose jump flip through the finish line." I trusted Gray so I did just that and looked around. My legs were tired and still I expected more problems, but I looked around and saw that everyone was down. I asked Gray," What the fuck happened here?"
It sounded quite rude and I was glad Gray changed the subject saying," You were hot out there captain, go to the bench and watch the replay if you wanna know, see ya." She was so nice complimenting me even though I was so rude. I soon looked at ImP as she was speechless at what she saw, man I gotta see this replay of it was that amazing. I soon walked out of the field, man my legs are tired, and saw there wasn't any damage. I got there and everyone surrounded me praising me.
They probably felt bad at how stupid I looked out there and are trying to make me feel better. I love my team. Spice then told me," Bro, that was crazy you fucking did two finishing kicks and impacted the race twice." At least I can count on Spice to tell me how crazy stupid I look on the field. I then said," Give me the iPad I need to see what Ash did while I was racing."
I soon got to a chair and thank god I did my legs were exhausted. Someone soon got me a drink and a towel as I reviewed the footage. Damn, Gray went ruthless at them didn't she? The moment she got out of the cage too, with blow darts, chains, and wrenches. She even used reinforced pads to assault others.
Mana soon came in and checked my legs. She told me," They're fine, but you need to rest your legs. We'll allow you to stand at the podium later, but we need to ice your legs and wrap them." Gosh darn it, I messed up and now need to do recovery. I replied," I see, thanks doc, I can always trust in you."
She then smiled saying," And with that performance today if you want to join Spice and me later for some fun you're always welcome." They're a couple and I don't want to interrupt their fun so I said," Nah, you two kids enjoy yourselves alright." She winked at me and left probably saying, " You got it, captain. I soon rested up as I watched Gray set up his traps as she ran through the field. Man, she's really serious about her setups huh.
