Chapter 148 - Hoover Dam and Threats

Kino didn't usually like killing, except when someone angered him or threatened his family.

But as everyone knew, aliens weren't people. Even the righteous Clark didn't hesitate to kill aliens; he'd kill them without a second thought. Not to mention Batman, whose approach to aliens was primarily violent and lethal.

Boom.

Kino kicked the headless metal remains into the dense forest and walked towards Bumblebee, hands on his hips.

"The troublesome guy is dealt with. We can continue our discussion."

Bumblebee, after a moment of stunned silence, quickly recovered. He obediently crouched down, trying to bring his head level with Kino's.

"Of, of course."

Compared to the previous respect, Bumblebee's attitude at this moment clearly showed more awe.

No matter the creature, revering the strong is ingrained in their bones.

"Alright, now go call your companions to Earth." Kino reached out and patted Bumblebee's cheek, then lightly leaped onto Bumblebee's shoulder. "Let's go."

Inside an abandoned factory.

Bumblebee strode towards a high slope, then the pair of headlights on its chest lit up, projecting light into the sky.

Kino didn't know what use this method of positioning had, but it was probably a unique positioning and communication function of the Cybertronians.

After waiting only a few minutes, several meteorites fell from the high altitude, trailing flames.

And before long, several cars of various shapes roared into this abandoned factory.

After a dazzling transformation sequence, the towering Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, led several Autobots toward Kino and Bumblebee.

Optimus Prime strode forward, approaching Kino, who was standing on Bumblebee's shoulder, and respectfully extended his right arm.

"Bumblebee has already explained the situation to us."

"We are deeply honored to have your friendship."

As the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime was not only powerful but also intelligent.

His steady nature and wise intellect enabled him to analyze the pros and cons judiciously, and cooperating with Kino was undoubtedly the best course of action for the Autobots.

"However..."

Ratchet, standing behind Optimus Prime, hesitantly spoke up, "May we know your terms?"

Not only do humans know there's no free lunch, but aliens understand that cooperation is built on mutual benefit.

"It's simple," Kino said, snapping his fingers. He sat on Bumblebee's shoulder, thinking for a moment. "I know that your Cybertron's Allspark can create technologically intelligent life."

"I will help you find the Allspark and eliminate your nemesis, Megatron."

"In exchange, I need you to build me a loyal, intelligent lifeform."

Kino revealed his intentions, which were the main purpose of his arrival in the Transformers world.

Batman has the Brother Eye mainframe, and Superman has the Fortress of Solitude.

Therefore, he also needed a powerful and loyal technological ally.

Lex was indeed useful, but not easily portable.

Although he could directly seize the Allspark, the Cybertronian beings created by the Decepticons and non-Autobot lifeforms would only be irrational, frenzied creatures, which wasn't what Kino wanted.

Listening to Kino's conditions, Optimus Prime and his companions looked at each other. Then, with a slight nod, he reached out respectfully. "Very well. If you can lead us to the Allspark, we are willing to create a powerful intelligent lifeform for you."

"Then, let's go."

Kino gently stepped off Bumblebee's shoulder, a bio-field lifting him into the air.

"Where to?"

The young man looked into the distance and said softly, "Hoover Dam."

Hoover Dam, built in 1936, is located at the confluence of the rivers of Nevada and Arizona.

From above, the entire dam is "M" shaped, blocking the flow of water while using water resources to generate a constant flow of electricity.

No one would have guessed that the American secret department would hide the Allspark and the frozen Megatron here.

"Man, seriously, our jobs really suck."

Inside the secret base beneath Hoover Dam.

Two agents at the entrance, coffee cups in hand, were chatting.

"Low pay, too much work, I really want to kick Moni's ass."

As they were talking, a security guard in the monitoring room, sipping coffee, sat up and looked at the computer's surveillance video.

He saw a young man wearing sunglasses, hands in his pockets, walking towards the entrance along the dam's curb.

"Hey, Bobby, Lant, we have a situation outside, go check it out."

The two guards acknowledged the order through their earpieces, exchanged glances, and then gripped their steel rifles tightly.

"Beep beep~"

The steel-reinforced sensor gate opened.

It was night at the Hoover Dam, pitch black. The only sound was the rushing water.

"Where are the intruders?"

Two security guards grabbed flashlights from their packs and switched them on.

The beams cut through the darkness. They quickly spotted a figure slowly approaching.

"Hey! Military base, unauthorized personnel, halt!" A special agent gripped his weapon, chambering a round.

But the figure seemed not to hear, continuing to advance.

"Open fire."

Another agent shook his head. As a special department, they had the right to kill any suspicious individuals who trespassed here.

Fingers tightened on the trigger, and bullets whistled from the gun barrels.

Bang bang!

Kinetic energy propelled the bullet heads, tearing through the air toward the figure.

But, it was as if they'd hit some unknown barrier, or perhaps an invisible wall. The bullets shattered, exploding into sparks tens of meters away from the mysterious figure.

"What, what was that? Security, did you see that?"

One of the security guards widened his eyes, unable to believe what he'd witnessed.

The bullets, capable of blowing a person's head apart, had exploded just meters from the intruder.

It was as if some invisible energy field was protecting the other person.

"I see it. I've notified headquarters for backup. Hold your ground!"

While one agent was communicating with their superior, another agent continued firing.

But as before, the bullets seemed to be blocked by some unknown force, unable to hit the black-clad youth.

Watching the blond youth get closer, the agent, on the verge of collapse, roared into his earpiece, "Hold your ground, my ass! He's not even afraid of bullets!"

Breathing heavily, chest rising and falling.

A spotlight illuminated the youth nearby.

Beneath his handsome features were eyes that held a smile.

But, an energy field, thick and almost tangible, surged into the surrounding air like a tidal wave, preventing the two agents from moving an inch.

The youth nonchalantly walked past them, reached out, and plucked the communicators from their ears. His voice was calm as he spoke into the earpiece, "You have one minute to hand over the Allspark and Megatron."

After speaking, Kino's gaze drifted to the lake and waterfall below the dam. He squinted, enjoying the feel of the breeze on his face, letting the wind flow through his fingers. Without turning around, he addressed the two agents, who were rendered as immobile as wooden figures by the bio-field, "The wind tonight is really refreshing."
