Atlas turned in alarm, to see Aveline's panicking eyes.
"What is it?" He asked.
Her eyes widened. Is he serious? She wondered in her mind.
"What is it Aveline?"
"I think she's scared of me, Art," the woman said as she took off her cloak.
"Oh," Atlas turned his attention back to the woman, as Aveline's hand dug deeper into his arms. "How have you been, Sophia? It's been a while."
The woman smiled at him, but moved her gaze to Aveline.
"She's old, and very pretty," Aveline thought, willing to give the woman in a high priestess kind of costume some benefit of doubt.
"You must be Aveline Sinclair. It's so nice to finally meet you."
"M-me?" Aveline stuttered, still hiding behind Atlas.
"Of course, you. I've read the news about your marriage to Atlas."
"The news?" She said in her mind.
For all she knew, the woman had an ethnic pot which served as a portal for whatever she wanted to see.
"Stop stereotyping Ave!" The sane voices in her head screamed at her.
