Seth heard heels clicking, and he sat up just as Freya walked into the private room they were meeting up.
"I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting. My other meetings ran long, and I only just got a break," she said as soon as she came into view.
Seth was too blinded by how good she looked despite the dark circles around her eyes, to care about her being late.
"Shall we begin?" She asked as she took the seat across from him.
"Sure," be blinked.
"I don't want to waste your time, Mr Seth. It's been confirmed I– we leave in four days. But before we do, I'd like to know if you have any requests."
The corner of his lips twitched, as mischief stirred his soul.
He did have a request. He just wasn't sure it was an appropriate one.
Freya observed his reaction with a tensed heart.
She had wanted to meet up with him in a public space. Not the back corner seat of an almost empty coffee shop.
This setting was too intimate for her. But there was a part of her drawn to the appeal of it all.
