"Hello, are you still there, Riles?"
Riley quickly ended the call, and turned to face Aveline.
Her face was as pale as someone who had seen a ghost.
"Ave?" She called cautiously.
"What is he talking about?" She asked in a barely audible voice, as her eyes stared into space.
"You heard him, Ave. He loves you. Atlas loves you."
"No," she shook her head.
"It's not true. He doesn't love me. He can't love me."
She pulled off her seat belt, and ran out of the car.
"Wait, Ave!"
Riley jumped down, and went after her as she ran straight to the sea.
On getting to the edge, Aveline dropped to the ground, and let out a scream.
Riley stopped behind her, as pity swelled up in her.
She could understand and even sympathize with the reaction.
Being caught in a situation where three friends were in love with her.
What kind of smooth relationship could she possibly have with Atlas if it came out that his other friend liked her too, since he was already aware of Landon's feelings.
