Riley did not slow down.
She drove straight ahead, and then after a few minutes of driving, turned into a path that led straight to the sea.
She stopped the car at the shores, and turned to Aveline.
"Are you okay?" She asked in a panic filled voice.
Aveline who hadn't even blinked from the point of the almost accident to the point the car stopped, shifted her gaze to Riley.
"What was that?" Her voice was soft but filled with panic.
"I'm sorry. I was just shocked so I almost lost control of the wheels. I'm so sorry," she apologized profusely.
Aveline moved her gaze away, and focused on returning her breath back to normal.
She did a little breathing exercise- breathing in and out.
After a while, she could feel her heart beat slow into a more natural pace.
"I didn't mean to scare you, Aveline."
She finally returned her gaze to Riley. "It's fine, really. It's my fault anyway."
"How is it your fault?"
