Chapter 33 - CHAPTER 33: SOME MOTHER YOU ARE

"Lysander, I guess you've figured out by now that those men work for me. So, there's no reason for you to go back there because Oliver and his two sons... they're already dead," Salina said, tears streaming down her face.

"Mother! I've always followed your orders without fail. I've always trusted you and never questioned your judgment. But this time, I need you to explain why you did what you did," Lysander replied, his teeth clenched.

"I know you're angry, and I understand why, but I didn't have a choice," Salina said with a sigh. "Let me explain. In the future I saw, there are different possibilities and outcomes. The world's survival will depends on Breaton's shoulders, and he'll be backed into a corner with three options.

The first option is to save his parents and siblings. If he chooses this, he'll save his parents and siblings, but he will lose his children and he'll fall into despair because of that.

The second option is to save his children. If he chooses this, he'll lose his parents and siblings, and the world will be destroyed this would cause him to trade his life for the world.

The third option is to save the world. If he chooses this, he'll lose his siblings, parents, and children... everything and everyone he loves will be gone. He'll be a hero to the world, but at what cost?" Salina said, her eyes welling up with tears.

Lysander's expression softened, the anger in his eyes fading as understanding dawned on him. He took a deep breath, his shoulders relaxing as he looked at his mother, Salina.

"I... I understand, Mother," he said, his voice filled with a newfound empathy. "You did what you thought was necessary to protect the world. I won't question your judgment again."

Salina's eyes searched his face, a mix of relief and sadness lingering there. "Thank you, Lysander," she whispered.

He paused, his thoughts turning to the two young women who had been caught up in this mess. "What about Nadia and Ava?" he asked, his brow furrowed with concern. "What are your plans for them?"

"Like I told you earlier, Lysander, Ava is my true successor. Originally, I only wanted to save her and let the rest of them die... but her mother Nadia survived as well, ... I shall train the two of them. When Ava becomes my successor, her mother shall stand by her side to keep her on the right path" Salina said with a smile.

Lysander's eyes narrowed, a hint of confusion etched on his face. "Wait a minute... you said Breaton will have to make a choice... who's gonna force him into making these choices?" he asked, his tone lipped with curiosity.

Salina's expression turned guarded, a shadow crossing her face. "I've told you enough about the future, Lysander. If I say anything else, the future may change and this time it may be something worse," she said, her voice tinged with a hint of warning.

Lysander's eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of frustration flashing across his face. "Okay, I get it... but Mother! what about Ava? She is your successor how does she fit into all of this?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.

Salina smiled slyly, her lips pursing into a tight line. "Nice try, Lysander... but my lips are sealed. All you need to do is watch over them while I'm training them," she said, her eyes grinning with determination.

With that, she snapped her fingers, and they disappeared....

Meanwhile, in the headquarters of the League of Enders, things were starting to get very tense.

"Jennifer, if you're going out there, then so am I. I have a score to settle with Rid Kai Yon," Ridge said, his eyes flashing yellow as he transformed into a massive, snarling werewolf, his body shifting and growing larger, his clothes tearing apart.

Jennifer climbed up onto his back.

"Wait, I'm coming as well. You're not the only one who has a score to settle with him," Simon said, his body undergoing a transformation as he grew demon horns on his head, wings sprouting from his back, and his eyes turning a fiery red, his werewolf form merging with his demonic powers, transforming him into a fearsome demon-wolf hybrid.

His wife, Jenet, was next, standing next to him.

"Wait, we're coming as well. If things go sideways, we've got your back. Don't forget, we are powerful witches, too," Jasmine and Stephanie said in unison.

Gus just sighed.

"So I guess everyone from the council is going out. I'm coming as well," he said, rubbing his Desert Eagles.

"Jack, I want you and your sister to stay behind. If anything happens, you will be taking command of the League of Enders," Gus said with a smile.

"Oh, come on, you're denying me a good fight," Jack said with a frown.

They all stepped outside, facing off against Alexandria and Rid Kai Yon. The air was thick with tension as the two groups stared each other down.

Gus, flanked by Jennifer on Ridge's back, Simon in his demon-wolf form, his wife Jenet the demon and the witches , Jasmine, and Stephanie, stood tall.

Alexandria sneered, her eyes gleaming with power. "So, the League of Enders thinks it can stop me? I'm here for my daughter. Hand her over, or face the consequences."

Rid Kai Yon let out a low growl, his eyes fixed on Ridge.

Ridge growled back, baring his teeth.

The standoff was intense.

"Ridge, get a little closer. I want to speak to my sister face to face," Jennifer said. Ridge took a few steps forward, bringing Jennifer's face inches from Alexandria's. "Alexandria, it's me, Jennifer," she said, her voice firm but pleading. "Stop this now. You don't want to do this."

Alexandria's sneer deepened. "You think just because you said stop, that I'll just roll over and stop? Have you forgotten who you're speaking to? I am Alexandria Emete, the leader of the Coven of Lock-Loopers," she shouted.

Jennifer just rolled her eyes. "You can drop the big bad witch act, Alexandria. I know you better than anyone else. I also know what you did for me. I remember everything from our past. The spell that Salina cast on me fifteen years ago has been broken," she said, tears streaming down her face.

For a fleeting moment, Alexandria's expression softened a bit, but then she hardened it again. She started laughing maniacally. "Do you really think I came here for a trip down memory lane? No, I came for my daughter. Give her over to me now," she said, her eyes flashing with anger.

Jennifer stood firm, her voice unwavering. "You're not taking Olissa anywhere. She has joined our team. She is one of us now."

Alexandria's face hardened with anger. "That little bitch dares to betray me, her own mother? Let me guess, it's because of that boy, Breaton Good-Heart," she said, gnashing her teeth. "Olissa, you little slut, get your ass out here now. Are you listening? Get out here now are else I will kill all your little friends. You have one minute," she shouted, using magic to amplify her voice again.

The air seemed to vibrate with the intensity of her rage, and the group tensed, ready for whatever would come next.

Alexandria began to count from one to sixty. After that, she shouted, "Time's up."

She said with a sneer.

The system from the League of Enders alerted Gus and the others about an error. "Warning, warning, critical error was made. Warning, critical error was made. Rescanning target... Scan complete. Updated information:

"Seriously, this system has a bug. I will have to update it later," Gus said with a frown.

"Did it really need to add 'amorous level'? Like, seriously, come on. That's kind of disgusting," Ridge said, trying to keep himself from laughing.

The group shared a chuckle, tension momentarily broken .

As the humor died down, Alexandria shouted, "All of you, prostrate yourselves before me!"

Like it or not, the force compelled them to obey. Gus and the others fell to the ground, flat on their faces, unable to move.

Alexandria then gave a signal to her three hundred witches and five hundred wolves to attack and kill Gus and his team.

"Olissa, I know you can hear me, and sense you're refusing to come out. If you don't, I will kill your little friends, then I'll find that boy, Breaton, that you seem to be in love with. I shall use him as target practice for my new spells, after that, I will use him for my own nefarious means," Alexandria said with a sneer on her face.

As Gus and the others were about to be killed, Olissa appeared and shouted, "Mother, stop! I'll go with you, just please don't hurt them."

Alexandria's smile was triumphant. "Ah, there you are, my dear daughter. I knew you'd see things my way," she said, her voice dripping with satisfaction.

The witches and wolves halted their attack, awaiting further instructions from Alexandria.

As Olissa got closer to Alexandria, a satisfied smile spread across her face. "Well, well, well, my dearest daughter, you've been holding out on me. You're two months pregnant. You've created the ultra hybrid, and there are two of them. I can sense them in your womb. Well done, daughter. Now come along, we have a lot to do before your children are born."

As Alexandria was about to grab Olissa, Buveur jumped out from the shadows and stood between them. "Like hell you'll take her," he said, baring his fangs. "Breaton is out of commission for now, and as long as I'm here, you won't take her."

Alexandria sneered, "Oh my, A tasty little morsel. Do me a favor, fall asleep now." Buveur fell to the ground, succumbing to the spell. Alexandria picked him up. "I like this one. I'll keep him as a pet," she said, reading Buveur's mind.

"Oh, I see. He's not even human, just a personification of power," Alexandria said, placing her hand on Buveur's chest and pulling out a thin white line. She severed it. "That's much better," she said with a sneer.

"What did you do?" Olissa asked, her heart racing.

"Relax, I didn't kill him. I severed his connection to Breaton, making Breaton a normal human now. Isn't that what you wanted, dear daughter? To make Breaton normal? You're welcome. Let's go," Alexandria said, snapping her fingers. She and her group disappeared with Olissa.

After they left, the force holding Gus and the others was lifted.
