HOPE
There are exactly two reasons I'm feeling slightly better right now.
First is because Principal Kaveri, after countless persuasions and assurances from Asher, has allowed me to go on my first mission with the FARTteams.
Although only on the condition that I go with the available Quads who are also members of the team. Although Kaleb tries to protest, he wisely backs down. He knows firsthand how Asher gets when he's mad—like a silent, brooding thundercloud. No one wants to poke that storm, and it's better he respects his emotions just like Asher respects his.
The second reason for this sudden bubble of excitement in my heart is because I'm driving. For the very first time. In my entire life.
Since I had the car keys, everyone just climbed into the car like it was the most natural thing to do, leaving the driver's seat empty — which, obviously, meant it was mine now. Actually, it makes sense that they did because I'm apparently the GPS location.
