Chapter 235 - Chapter 235 Aura

New York Air Force Base.

Having undergone a second injection and achieved another breakthrough in speed and strength, Blonsky led a special ops team to New York by plane.

The Air Force had already prepared vehicles and accompanying personnel. As soon as they disembarked, they hopped into Humvees and headed toward the secret base established by the military in the western suburbs of New York.

Although the base was built in a hurry, it was fully staffed and equipped, with hundreds of clerical soldiers responsible solely for surveillance.

In addition to this, the military had dispatched thousands of agents dressed as tourists to search the western suburbs.

However, 24 hours had passed since Ross issued the order, and they still hadn't found any trace of Banner or the Joker organization.

When Blonsky arrived at the base, the receiving officer immediately reported the situation to him.

Upon learning there was still no news of the Joker organization, Blonsky's expression instantly darkened.

"A bunch of useless trash! It's been this long, and you haven't found a single thing!"

Hearing this, the soldiers in the base were stunned, and then a wave of anger rushed to their hearts.

Where did this blockhead come from? Does he even know how to speak to people?

We've been searching non-stop for 24 hours; never mind the lack of credit, we have to listen to this outsider run his mouth?

If you think we're useless, go find him yourself if you're so capable.

Although these words weren't spoken aloud, the eyes and expressions of the base soldiers conveyed their anger without missing a beat.

The accompanying special ops members also looked very surprised.

Although they had learned on the flight over that the Major had a bad temper, they really didn't expect him to say something so excessive.

If they weren't on a mission, this sentence alone would be enough to get him suspended.

Some soldiers in the team had served with Blonsky before and were even more puzzled by his rude behavior. Major Blonsky used to have a good temper; how did he suddenly turn into this?

Facing the hostility of the base soldiers and the confusion of his team, Blonsky offered no explanation or apology, keeping a cold, expressionless face.

He walked to a chair, sat down, and shouted, "Hurry up and search! You're only allowed to rest when you find something."

Hearing this, the soldiers were furious.

Even for emergency missions, rotation and rest are mandatory. This isn't just for the soldiers' health, but for the responsibility to the mission itself. Who are you to forbid rest?

Seeing their expressions, Blonsky threatened, "This mission is extremely urgent and critical. Before leaving, General Ross gave me special authority. If anyone dares to disobey orders or pay lip service, not only will you lose your uniform, but you'll also face a court-martial afterward."

To find Banner quickly, Ross had indeed given him special privileges; that was an undeniable fact.

So, no matter how unhappy the soldiers in the base were, they had to bite the bullet and obey orders.

The higher-ups must be blind!

All the soldiers thought this in their hearts.

......

Blonsky sat in the monitoring room, where the atmosphere was oppressive to the extreme.

The soldiers kept their eyes glued to the monitors, daring not to slack off even a little.

Even when talking to the plainclothes agents outside, they deliberately kept their voices down to avoid upsetting this tyrant.

After sitting there for over three hours, Blonsky's patience reached its limit.

Finally, a soldier shouted in surprise, "Sir, we found something!"

Blonsky's eyes changed; he stood up abruptly, walked over, and snatched the communicator.

"What is it? Speak!"

"Sir, we found a large number of suspicious individuals carrying guns around an abandoned factory."

"Look closely! Is it a gang deal?"

"I'm not mistaken! These people don't look like gang members at all, and New York's gangs are all monopolized by the Joker organization."

This was a key clue.

Since the New York gangs were controlled by the Joker organization, these people, even if not guards for Banner, must know something about it.

Torturing a few for information might provide a breakthrough.

After a brief thought, Blonsky made up his mind: "Send the coordinates!"

He grabbed his rifle and strode out of the base, his special ops team quickly following.

Once he left, the oppressive atmosphere in the base instantly dissolved, and the soldiers heaved a heavy sigh of relief.

That man was strange.

He was clearly just a Major, yet meeting his gaze instilled a genuine fear.

That kind of soul-crushing aura—even a Major General wouldn't have it, right?

......

The base dispatched a few civilian vehicles to carry the special ops team to the abandoned factory.

One kilometer away from the target, they got out and infiltrated the woods by the road, approaching cautiously.

Reaching a hill with a good vantage point, Blonsky lay on the ground and used military binoculars to scout.

There were indeed many suspicious people around the factory, roughly estimated at over a hundred, each with a pistol at their waist.

Some stood or sat openly, while others hid in the grass and corners. Clearly, this abandoned factory held a dark secret.

Memorizing their positions, Blonsky put down the binoculars, crossed the hill, and approached rapidly.

His target was an unlucky guy who had wandered out to pee.

The location was secluded; as long as he acted quickly, no one would notice.

Blonsky quietly crept up behind the man and struck instantly, subduing him without making a sound.

"If you want to live, answer my questions honestly!"

Blonsky's eyes were cold, his voice a low growl.

The man recovered from his panic and nodded frantically, his survival instinct kicking into overdrive.

Blonsky clamped his fingers around the man's throat and asked, "Is Bruce Banner inside the factory?"

The man blinked and whispered, "Who is Bruce Banner?"

Blonsky sighed and changed the question: "Did you kidnap a man and a woman?"

"Yes!"

"Where are they?"

"In the laboratory on the second basement level."

"How many gunmen have you posted?"

"There are over a hundred outside, and more than thirty inside the factory."

"Besides these gunmen, are there any other powerful figures?"

"No, aside from the gunmen, it's just a bunch of scientists."

Hearing this answer, Blonsky said, "You're lying!"

The man's face changed, and he tried to shout for help.

Crack!

Applying slight pressure, Blonsky crushed his windpipe and compressed his trachea to prevent him from making any sound.

Gurgle...

After struggling for a few minutes, the man suffocated to death.

But now Blonsky faced a dilemma.

The positioning of these gunmen was very strategic. Except for this unlucky guy, the rest were clustered together.

If Blonsky attacked any single one of them, no matter how fast he moved, the others would see it.

With his current skills, he obviously couldn't kill a dozen people simultaneously.

Unless...

He made those idiots join in the attack.
