Kur-thunk!
A grenade was released and detonated on impact with the side of a humvee. It skidded to the side and slammed into the railing. The vehicle right behind it was able to swerve out of a course that would cause it to crash. But the vehicle behind that one ended up causing a jam. So the trail of LexCorp security vehicles were stuck.
The one directly behind them was a jeep. Rico watched as a rotary machine gun rose out of the back of the vehicle and a person in black tactical gear grabbed the weapon and started firing.
Ting Ting Ting!
Bullets began bouncing off the vehicle as Rico ducked down slightly before aiming and firing. But this time there was nothing. Rico looked closer and realized that the grenade launcher was empty. He looked down at T-Dog and handed the weapon back. "It's empty." He then looked at the enemy jeep with a weapon on the back. He pulled out his laser pistol and fired.
It hit the front of the jeep and a red electrical pulse spread out over the hood. The jeep veered for a second before stabilizing. Rico had forgotten to turn it back into lethal mode. He switched it and aimed for the tire of the vehicle.
There was a loud pop as the tire burst and the jeep slid to the side and crashed into an oncoming vehicle. Causing it to flip and roll. Throwing the gunner out of the seat and skidding across the ground.
Rico looked around one more time before climbing down into the armored vehicle and closing the hatch. "We lost them for now. I need to make the call. T-Dog, go join Gearbox in the front seats." Rico ordered as he pulled out his phone.
T-Dog nodded his head and climbed out through the hatch in the roof. As he climbed out Rico's phone began ringing and then the person on the other end answered. "Waller."
"Bell, we have them. In addition plus a dog that was there as well. There was an additional person on the property but we did not encounter them and as far as I can tell they did not see us." Rico explained as he sat down and looked at the Kents and Krypto. Who were all still out despite the noise because of the drugs that were shot into them.
"A dog?" Waller asked with a bewildered voice, "What made you think to grab the dog?"
"It managed to tear some metal. Figured that was something that was up your alley." Rico answered as he looked at Coin and Sweetie.
"The Kents are alive?" Waller asked.
Rico nodded, "yeah they are alive. But they are old and probably fragile so you will probably want a doctor to give them a look over."
"Understood. You have the destination. We are already ready for your delivery." Waller explained before she hung up.
As soon as she did, Rico's phone began ringing and he answered it again. "Bell, what the hell did you do with my scientist and Kryptonite?" A voice demanded.
Rico blinked as he processed who was talking to him. "Luthor… sorry. But you know how it is. It is just business, I was hired to do a thing. I did the job and now I am done. But I would appreciate it if none of your people came at me just because I was doing a job."
There was silence for a few minutes before Luthor answered. "Who?"
Rico shook his head, "come on now Luthor. You know better than to ask that."
"Fine…" Luthor then hung up and Rico was having the feeling that it was not fine. But he would deal with the problem as it came up.

Superman dropped the destroyed machine on the ground with a frown. Nearby were other members of the Justice League. The only one who was missing was Batman. He had not been here for the meeting. Instead Oracle was here, but she was currently in the operations room coordinating with them.
He looked over at Wonder Woman, who was looking more beautiful by the day. "What was this about? I mean Lex is still in prison, so why would he just send these attack bots out of the blue… again. It will not look good for his hearing." Superman pointed out.
The others began walking over as well. "Yeah… something is off. This felt less like an attack and more like a distraction. Did you notice how the machines were not going to attack or injure but were instead trying to stay operational as long as possible?" Flash pointed out as he vibrated a robot head off and began taking it apart.
"There is nothing going on. No news, no blackout, just nothing out of the ordinary. Not even a bank robbery." Oracle informed them over their communication ear pieces. "So this might not be over, this might have just been a probing attack instead. You have the database of criminals- oh you do! Give me a few minutes."
The others who had gathered here today. Flash, Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, Zatanna, and Hawkgirl all gathered together as Flash took apart one of these robots. "What are all of you thinking?"
"Possible alien invasion?" Hawkgirl suggested.
"No, there is not any tech nearby that would announce alien presence." Green Lantern answered before getting looks from the others. "Any OTHER alien presences."
"Nothing magical either." Zatanna informed them and Wonder Woman grunted in agreement.
"This could be any one of our criminals or villains. Luthor, Darkseid-" Flash started running through names but was interrupted by Oracle.
"Actually, it is none of them. I just ran a simulation and this is more aligned with a military strike than anything else. There is also some chatter on the military communication net." Oracle informed them. Causing both Superman and Wonder Woman to exchange a look that the others missed.
"Kal!" Superman looked up and over to see his cousin flying over. "I am sorry I was asleep I did not notice-" She stopped and Superman flinched as a loud noise went off but it was clearly not a frequency humans could pick up because the others did not hear it and were only looking at them in confusion.
"Fly away from your friends, Clark Kent." The mysterious female voice told him.
