Jihoon bit his lip, scrolling through the tutorial videos on his phone. "Why are all these dishes so complicated?" he complained, fiddling with the edge of his apron.
The omega finally settled for the simplest. Rice and stewed beef.
Setting the phone on the counter, Jihoon followed the video and began assembling the ingredients.
By the time he was done, there were so many vegetables. "How am I going to chop all these?"
The omega ran a hand through his hair before an idea occurred to him. Pausing the video, he walked out of the kitchen.
Jihoon's gaze fell on the bodyguard sitting stiffly on the couch. "You're Alex, right?"
The other man nodded once.
The omega smiled. "I need your help with something. Can you lend me a hand?"
Alex immediately stood up and bowed. "I'll be happy to help in any way I can."
His voice was surprisingly deep and measured, and the omega found himself chuckling to ease the awkward atmosphere.
"You don't need to be so formal with me, Alex."
