Chapter 398 - LOD Chapter 395 Mr. Door

The Devil's Oil Painting would only release one demigod creature at a time. For Victor, who had recorded the abilities of many demigods, resealing it and completing the advancement ritual was not too difficult.

Watching Victor, whose body was covered in starlight after consuming the potion within the prayer light, Aaron, seated deep within the Nation of Disorder, retrieved the Justiciar card and the Black Emperor card from a pile of sundries.

Ever since He advanced to Angel status and completely controlled this Sefirah, the blessing effect of these two Blasphemy cards on Him had become increasingly faint. However, this time He might face Mr. Door, who had been corrupted by the Mother Goddess of Depravity, so there was no harm in being extra cautious.

After all, a Secrets Sorcerer with sufficient foundation could play a far greater role on the battlefield than an ordinary demigod. If there were any anomalies, Aaron would cut off the connection, even if He didn't get the answer He wanted.

The Devil's Oil Painting, which had fallen into the desert, trembled slightly. The divinity of the resealed demigod Monster projected into the Spirit World, forming an abstract and blurry mark.

Victor didn't think; he instinctively extended part of his consciousness and spirituality, intertwining them with that abstract mark.

This mark wasn't perfectly compatible with him; it seemed to contain parts that didn't belong to him, but he could barely integrate with it.

Suddenly, within Victor's mind, that abstract mark became quite clear. It was a Door, layered and covered with mysterious symbols.

This Door hid Victor behind it, isolating him from the surrounding Cosmos.

This continued for more than ten seconds. The night sky, where the brilliant Milky Way flowed, slowly receded, and the specks of starlight returned to Victor's body, merging with him.

At this moment, a deep Darkness faintly appeared before his eyes. In the depths of the Darkness were never-ending storms and occasionally bright flashes of lightning.

The next second, that long-lost yet familiar voice sounded in his ears, piercing into his brain like steel nails stirring his brain matter.

Fortunately, he already possessed the demigod status, and even without the protection of the Nation of Disorder, he wouldn't immediately lose control.

Using meditation to recover his mind from the chaos, Victor was about to try to actively respond to the call when everything around him suddenly became silent.

Aaron, who was sharing his vision through the prayer light, had already risen from the throne. With the Sefirah's filtration, He clearly heard the content of the initial call:

"Destroy the 'Scroll of God,' don't save me..."

-----------------

Within the consciousness space, which seemed to overlap with the Astral World, the silence only lasted two or three seconds before an ethereal voice, capable of piercing through spiritual bodies, entered Victor's mind again:

"After a millennium, the Abraham family finally has a new demigod born!"

This sentence was a plain statement, without any fluctuation, yet it made the blood vessels on Victor's forehead throb, his eyes filled with fine red threads, and his body shine brightly.

He almost lost control of himself.

Victor ignored Mr. Door's sigh, his expression barely concealing his distortion as he spoke:

"Are you His Highness Bethel, the ancestor of the Abraham family?"

The voice, which had traveled through countless barriers, returned to its previous calm:

"Yes."

Upon hearing the affirmative reply, Victor's expression finally softened, but his tone remained low:

"Ancestor, do you know that your 'call' has plunged the entire Abraham family into a curse lasting over a thousand years? They always lose control and turn into Monsters during advancement or on full moon nights."

This was the most pressing question for the Abrahams throughout the millennium. Even though he had learned some secrets from the Lord of Order, he still wanted to hear the explanation from the source of their bloodline's glory.

Mr. Door sighed:

"I am banished in eternal Darkness, suffering from unceasing storms, and can barely sense the changes in reality."

"Moreover, the cry for help during the full moon is not something I can control."

Without delving deeper into this issue, Mr. Door's voice instantly became calm:

"The years lost in Darkness and trapped in the storm are truly too monotonous. It's rare to have someone to chat with."

Victor's facial muscles twitched involuntarily a few times; he still couldn't quite adapt to that voice, which was akin to an evil god's ravings.

Unable to determine how long this special summoning formed after advancement could last, and with Aaron's instructions floating in his mind, he paused for a few seconds and quickly continued to ask:

"Ancestor, I want to know if there's an abnormal way to enter the nine secret mausoleums that Blood Emperor Tudor built for his advancement to Black Emperor."

Mr. Door, whose voice came from an unknown location across endless void, let out an ethereal laugh:

"Black Emperor... So it's for this matter."

"This is not difficult. I'll give you a symbol. Use the blood of Beyonders from different Pathways to draw that symbol in front of the mausoleum, and you'll open a hidden passage to the inside."

As this existence spoke, within the profound Cosmos that only existed in the realm of consciousness, specks of starlight condensed into a rather complex symbol.

It was like Doors, layered chaotically from largest to smallest, with no end in sight.

Victor endured the tearing pain in his Spirit Body and memorized the symbol.

Back on the throne, Aaron, holding the Sun Chaser Scepter, looked at the illusory, layered Door-shaped symbol, frowning. Dark gold mist surged, forming an illusory Card of Blasphemy.

The Sequence 0 Door, seemingly condensed from starlight, appeared extremely dazzling. The symbols inscribed on it were very similar to those provided by Mr. Door, with only subtle differences in some places.

Even though this Card of Blasphemy had been given to Klein, as the former owner, it was not difficult for Aaron to recreate the card's divine aura with the help of the Nation of Disorder.

A trap... Aaron snorted, dispersing the illusory Card of Blasphemy. Mr. Door behaved extremely calmly, completely out of sync with the initial cry for help.

One must know that it was not the full moon night, when Yin energy was most concentrated, yet Mr. Door had undergone such a change. If He had been uncertain before, He could now confirm that Bethel had been completely corrupted, and his remaining will had been suppressed.

Having reached this conclusion in His mind, Aaron's expression became increasingly serious. He carefully examined Victor's Spirit Body, confirming that it had not been inexplicably corrupted, before putting down the Sun Chaser Scepter in His hand.

After answering the question, Mr. Door directly told Victor how to make himself return:

"Arrange the ritual and help me escape. That way, the curse will cease to exist."

"These two coordinates might hide an opportunity for you to advance to Angel, consider it your reward!"

His voice became increasingly ethereal and faint, seemingly returning to its original state as Victor's advancement concluded.

About two or three seconds later, Victor could no longer hear the voice that could gradually lead him to the path of losing control. The deep Darkness and terrifying storm before his eyes also disappeared.
