"Harry Potter- Ravenclaw"Chapter 143: Coolic and the Birth of M.S.C.
Fred and George puffed out their cheeks in an exaggerated contest, each trying to outdo the other with the size of their white steam clouds.
They pushed so hard that, in the end, they both snorted out more than just steam—streams of snot joined the show.
Catching sight of each other's ridiculous state, they burst into laughter, pointing fingers and nearly collapsing to the floor, clutching their sides as they howled.
"This is brilliant!" Luna joined in, mimicking the twins by puffing up her cheeks and letting out a series of "woo-woo-woo" sounds.
She cupped her hands around her ears, scooping up a ball of white steam, and carried it over to Wyzett. She opened her hands right under his nose, letting the cloud gently dissipate.
Wyzett grinned. "That's beautiful."
With a flick of his wand, he gently gathered the remaining steam, Transfiguring it into a miniature steam locomotive. Then, with a silent, wandless Levitation Charm, he set it chugging slowly along the corridor.
"Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo!" Luna provided the train's whistle, her eyes sparkling. "It's so pretty!"
After a round of playful chaos, Fred's eyes lit up with a new idea. "Now that we've got ourselves a club, shouldn't we pick a proper name?"
George nodded enthusiastically. "Definitely! 'Preventive Draught' doesn't exactly roll off the tongue."
Fred chimed in, "And the club needs a real name, too!"
Wyzett cleared his throat, a little sheepish. "I'm... not exactly a naming expert."
George gave a low whistle. "So there's actually something you don't know? That's a rare sight!"
Fred scratched his head. "Honestly... we're not much better at naming potions ourselves..."
George added, "But we can work on the club name!"
He turned to Luna. "What about you, Luna? Any ideas?"
Luna blinked, her expression thoughtful. "This draught is meant to prevent the flu. Since Wyzett brewed it, I'm sure it's even more effective..."
Fred let out a dramatic yelp, waggling his eyebrows at Wyzett. "Wow! Such confidence—I can feel it from here!"
Wyzett waved his hand, eager to hear Luna's suggestion.
Luna paced slowly, her brow arched in a delicate curve as she pondered. "Prevention is a step away from cure... and the flu is just a cold... and then there's the steam from your ears... If you combine those... I've got it! Let's call it—'Coolic.' What do you think?"
Wyzett was the first to shoot his hand up. "I love it! It sounds fantastic!"
"Hey, slow down!" Fred teased, drawing out the word "outsiders." "Shouldn't us two outsiders get a say first?"
George called out in mock protest, "Cool...ic! Steam-blasting ears are definitely cool!"
But instead of raising his hand, he exchanged a sly look with Fred. "Still... I feel like being difficult. Maybe we should pick something else."
"Good point, I'll play devil's advocate too." Fred caught George's look and solemnly hummed.
With George watching expectantly, Fred slowly raised his hand. "But of course I agree! Three to one! Ha!"
"Traitor! And here I thought you were loyal!" George pretended to gnash his teeth, lunging forward with a "Woo-woo-woo! The train's coming through!"
"You're just as much a train as I am!" Fred retorted, sticking out his chest as the two collided in mock battle.
Watching the twins roughhouse, Wyzett thought that Wood really did have an eye for talent—these two were born Beaters, as unpredictable as Bludgers.
After a bout of chest-bumping, the twins caught their breath. "Now, what should we call the club itself?"
Wyzett suggested, "Why don't we each contribute a word and combine them?"
Fred stroked his chin. "Good idea, but won't that get a bit chaotic?"
"How about the two of us say a word at the same time?" George grinned. "See if we match. Loser eats one of our experimental magic biscuits?"
Fred's eyes sparkled. "A test of twin telepathy! I'm in."
Wyzett and Luna looked eager. "No problem for us," they chimed together.
George sucked in a breath. "The way you two say that... makes me nervous!"
"What's to worry about? We've eaten plenty of these biscuits already!" Fred waved away the concern. "On three, everyone say their word!"
The group nodded.
With a mischievous glint, Fred counted, "Three!"
"Magic!" called Wyzett and Luna.
"Steam!" shouted Fred and George.
Fred furrowed his brow, pretending to ponder. "Magical Steam... That actually sounds pretty good."
"Magical Steam Club... M.S.C..." Luna picked up her sketchbook and quickly sketched a draft logo.
It was simple: a soda bottle, with a bold row of letters—M.S.C.—across the middle.
"I'll do a rough sketch. Tell me what you'd add, and I'll refine it."
She wrinkled her nose at Wyzett. "You need to give real suggestions too—not just say it's good!"
"Of course," Wyzett smiled. "What if the bottle kept the Mooncalf shape? I think it's adorable."
Luna beamed and set to work on the first revision.
Fred and George craned their necks. "What about the steam? Where's the steam?"
For the second draft, Luna added a billow of steam.
After reviewing the improved sketch, Wyzett thought the letters looked a little plain. "Maybe the font could use a change?"
Fred and George suggested, "Try Uncial script—see how it looks?"
On the third attempt, Fred smacked his lips. "Still not quite right."
"How about Gothic script?" Wyzett offered.
The fourth version finally satisfied everyone.
The finished logo was a Mooncalf-shaped soda bottle, steam curling from the neck, and M.S.C. in Gothic script across the center—at once magical and modern.
Wyzett sprinkled magical powder over the sketch, tracing the lines with shimmering energy.
He drew his wand and gave a gentle flick, transforming the drawing into a three-dimensional, animated emblem.
Bubbles rose inside the bottle, drifting out the neck and turning to white steam, which slowly faded into the air. Only the M.S.C. at the center remained perfectly still, standing out even more for its mysterious contrast with the swirling motion.
Fred and George joined in, waving their wands to enlarge the logo and hang it on the central wall of the corridor, where it shimmered for all to admire.
