Chapter 277 - 《Harry Potter- Ravenclaw》Chapter 145: How Far Can a Letter Travel?

Ever since he began delving into mental magic, Wyzett found that his ways of "reviewing the old to learn the new" had grown far more varied.

Now, not only could he revisit his carefully kept notes, but he could also sort through his memories directly—reliving and refining knowledge by simply organizing his thoughts. With a practiced flick, he would cast Memoria Exhaurire, drawing out the memories he needed and dropping them into the Pensieve…

Through this method, he could revisit his learning from a unique, almost third-person perspective. It allowed him not only to distill key insights but even to "argue" with himself, sparking new trains of thought. For Wyzett, this playful self-debate had its own peculiar charm.

His growing mastery of mental magic soon inspired a new idea: what if he could teach Luna ancient magic by sharing memories directly with her? To make it work, the Pensieve was, of course, essential.

Inside the Pensieve room, Wyzett and Luna stood on opposite sides of the swirling basin, facing one another.

Wyzett began, "Luna, I'll need a memory as a bridge—something we can use to establish an emotional connection."

When he'd learned Ancient Magic: Blast Curse and Ancient Magic: Greater Blast Curse, he'd gained a deeper magical understanding of emotion. Through studying that insight, he devised this method: emotions drawn from a memory could create a unique resonance. If both he and Luna could feel it, the two of them could forge a special magical link.

This connection would ensure Luna's safety—shielding her from any personal bias or negative influence hidden within the memories themselves. If the link couldn't be established, he would simply fall back on their tried-and-true teaching methods.

"Memory? A bridge?" Luna tilted her head, curiosity sparkling in her eyes. "So, a memory between you and me?"

Wyzett had lost count of the times he'd marveled at her intuition. He nodded gently. "But it can't be too close or too distant," he explained. "Think of it like two parallel lines—never crossing, but always drawn on the same page."

With that metaphor, Luna grasped the idea at once, nodding eagerly.

Seeing her ready, Wyzett continued, "I think there's one memory that's just right…"

Luna's face lit up. "The letter you wrote me last year! The very first one!"

Wyzett smiled. "And the first letter you wrote back to me."

Their owl, Sol, was the messenger—like a parallel line between them, tracing a path across the magical world, just as charcoal sketches black lines across white paper.

Luna's lips curved in a sweet smile. She closed her eyes, her lashes fluttering with each breath. "Let's begin, then!"

"Alright." Wyzett raised his wand, gently touching it to Luna's temple. "Memoria Exhaurire."

A familiar scene filled his mind: Luna, smiling softly as she wrote her letter, while Sol circled overhead, wings fluttering.

How far could a letter travel? From the Lovegood home to Hogwarts—a world away.

With utmost care, Wyzett drew out the memory, a shining silver thread unraveling from her temple.

Ancient Magic: Projectile Mastery.

He let ancient magic flow into his fingertips, delicately holding the precious memory.

"Memoria Exhaurire," he intoned again, extracting the matching memory from himself—Sol pecking at his chest, the letter's journey ending with its delivery in the Great Hall.

How far could a letter travel? From Hogwarts to the Lovegood home, and back again—so very far.

Two gleaming silver threads now rested in his hand. Drawing on the quiet power of his Obscurus core, Wyzett bound them together with ancient magic.

Boom!

The world dissolved into silver-blue light. For a moment, Wyzett felt himself become a letter—a magical paper airplane, like those he'd seen at the Ministry of Magic, drifting lazily through the air, aimless and free.

With a flutter of wings, an owl—so like Sol—appeared, blinking bright eyes, feathers swirling as she drifted down, wings folding gently over the letter.

The silver-blue glow faded. As Wyzett opened his eyes, he saw Luna opening hers at the exact same instant.

He lowered his hand, and on his fingertips, a spiral—an ascending vortex—appeared, binding the two silver threads together.

Their eyes met. Luna's voice was steady and sure: "It worked!"

Wyzett nodded, a smile tugging at his lips. "Yes—better than I ever imagined."

He reached into his pocket and produced a small glass vial, inside which shimmered a single silver thread.

"The Forbidden Forest is home to all sorts of creatures—some harmless, like deer and rabbits, and others… well, like Acromantulas."

"That's why," he continued, "to move safely through the forest, we'll need magic that makes us more agile."

He swirled the vial gently. "This memory holds an ancient movement spell…"

"The one from summer, right?" Luna recalled at once. "That white light, like a unicorn!"

"Exactly. The unicorn-like light." Wyzett uncorked the vial and poured the memory into the Pensieve.

Without hesitation, both of them leaned forward, plunging into the swirling depths together.

In a rush of spinning sensation, they found themselves in the memory's clearing. Not far off stood the carriage-shaped castle, and above it, an hourglass with sand flowing steadily downward.

"This is amazing!" Luna knelt, running her fingers through the grass. "It feels just like coming home."

"It's more intuitive this way," Wyzett agreed, watching as Luna alternated between exploring and hopping about the clearing.

But she didn't get distracted for long. Remembering their purpose, she straightened up. "Professor Wyzett, let's begin!"

Wyzett nodded. "Remember that magical circuit—the one you helped me refine? Try to picture it."

"That odd-looking pattern?" Luna frowned in concentration. After a moment, her eyes opened. "I see it clearly now."

Thanks to their magical link, Wyzett could sense the image had formed in her mind.

He pressed on. "Now, the incantation: 'ᚨ'—ansuz."

Luna echoed, "ᚨ—ansuz!"

"Perfect!" Wyzett nodded. "Hold your wand… use the incantation to channel ancient magic… command its power…"
