During the meeting, Joel Quinn received a phone call from Ruth Hale and quickly rushed over with everyone in the conference room.
Ruth Hale heard the chaotic footsteps outside, leaned against the wall, watched Serena Sullivan and Ya Ya warily, and after keeping a distance from them, she quickly walked to the door and opened it.
After opening the door, she adjusted her clothes. Upon seeing Joel Quinn at the forefront, the tears that had previously disappeared in her eyes reappeared and slid down her cheeks.
"Joel..."
"Uncle Joel!"
Before Ruth Hale could finish calling out, a sadder and more aggrieved sobbing sound came from behind her.
She turned around and saw Serena Sullivan slowly approaching in a wheelchair. Her already beautiful eyes were now filled with glistening tears, making the men who came in look over one by one.
