Piccolo trembled as he raised his right hand to shield his forehead, instinctively stumbling backward several steps. Just as he felt his body about to be blown away by the violent energy surge, he grabbed tightly onto Super Mini-Cell to steady himself.
But then, something entirely unexpected happened.
Super Mini-Cell stood frozen like a wooden statue, completely unmoving. Pan, held in his arms, clung tightly to his arm, unable to open her eyes.
This was her first time witnessing a scene like this.
Super Mini-Cell's mouth hung wide open, his round eyes glued to Beerus in utter disbelief.
He muttered, "Th-this… this guy doesn't even know how to dodge?!"
Only then did Piccolo look back toward Beerus. The guy stood motionless in the raging storm, not even swaying.
And then, a mocking smile slowly crept across Beerus's face.
He raised his right hand, spread his fingers wide, and aimed his palm at the massive Ultimate Kamehameha.
Two words slipped out of his mouth: "De–stroy."
A surge of irresistible power instantly locked down the Ultimate Kamehameha.
The once-rampaging energy column stopped advancing entirely.
Even more unbelievable was the fact that the front of the beam began dissolving, piece by piece.
Vegeta and the others, who had combined their strength to launch this attack, were completely shocked.
Goku's expression changed as he poured in even more power. Vegeta, even more desperate than Goku, did the same.
Everyone once again fell into a disadvantage.
At last, Beerus, silent for a long time, spoke again: "I admit you Saiyans have some skill. Up to now, you're the strongest mortals I've ever met. But if you think you can surpass a God like me, that day will never come. I'm glad you managed to stir my interest in fighting again… but if this is all the strength you have, it's still far from enough. If you can't defeat me, I will still choose to destroy Earth."
"Oh, and I forgot to mention. Destruction means vanishing completely from this world. Even your souls will cease to exist."
Beerus's words echoed in everyone's ears.

"As a God of Destruction, destruction is my duty."
At the same time, another figure appeared behind Beerus.
Goten had already drawn back his fist, shouting angrily: "That's utter nonsense! Humans are born from nature; we have our own will and emotions! What does that have to do with you, Destruction Gods?!"
"What gives you the right to decide the life and death of humanity?!"
Goten swung a furious punch, but before he could strike, Beerus suddenly grabbed his wrist.

"The reason is simple. I am a God of Destruction. This world is ruled by the law of the strong."
"And besides… I destroy whatever I want."
A wicked smile crept across Beerus's face. Both his hands flattened into knife-like blades, swinging simultaneously toward the back of Bulla and Goten's necks.
"You two are simply too weak."
His hand strikes were about to land, but at that split second, several lasers shot from above, interrupting him.
"Let go of my daughter and that boy." Vegeta's voice echoed.
Beerus turned with interest, staring at Vegeta.
"Oh?"
But before he could say more, a phantasmal afterimage flashed behind him as Goten and Bulla vanished from his grasp.
A moment later, Goku appeared directly in front of Beerus. He had used Instant Transmission to rescue the two from Beerus's clutches.
Beerus glanced at Goku, a hint of curiosity flashing in his eyes. "Kaiōshin's Instant Transmission?"
But then, on the other side, another wave of mixed divine ki flared, once again pulling Beerus's attention away.
Vegeta's entire body radiated with godly energy, all while he remained in his Super Saiyan 4 form.
His hair had turned a burning red.
Vegeta looked at Goku and said: "Kakarot, well done. But from here on… just stand back and watch."
