Leon expected to wake up in that town again, only to wake up lying on his bed.
The room was quiet and dark. The curtains were closed and on the nightstand was a flickering candle.
He reached for his chest and ran his fingers across it expecting to feel wounds, but it was smooth.
They healed? Did i regenerate again or was it Charlotte's doing?
The moment Leon transmigrated into this world he began treating it like a game only to quickly find out it was all very real. The madness and pain quickly drowned whatever naive views he had on this new world.
At first i wanted to go home... there's nothing waiting for me there.
There wasn't any family or friends waiting for him back home, so why would he want to go back. Daniel wasn't so sure himself.
The chill inside his room felt much colder than it usually did.
It was sunday, almost 6PM. Leon got up from bed and approached the dresser, taking out some pajamas and throwing them on.
I'm not going outside today.
The moment he sat down on his bed he remembered all the time wasted rotting away inside his bedroom.
...
Feynapotter City.
The locomotive had come to a stop after a one long ride. Nancy put on a straw bonnet and picked up her suitcase before leaving the train. She had around 6000 Risot which would be around 500 pounds so she took the first class feeling that she earned it.
The Feynapotter Kingdom's currency had 3 denominations, Risot, Setta and Degan.
A musician with a blindfold was playing the violin right outside the train station whilst a crowd gathered around and watched with great intrigue.
Even i have to admit, he's playing quiet well.
Nancy stood there watching the musician play for a little. The musician was dressed in a colourful array of clothing with a bald red painted head. This bizzare appearance paired with the beautiful performance was attracting a dozen people. Some felt kind enough to throw a few coin his way.
The crowd suddenly looked up, Nancy was still distracted by the playing so she only looked up when she heard the crowds awe.
Pansy flowers were falling from the sky, during the flower shower another musician made his appearance. A pale man in a black suit with white hair and a blindfold. His harp was in rhythm with the other musicians violin.
When the duo finished they bowed and dissapeared into thin air, the crowd applauded like nothing was wrong.
Nancy was the only one left feeling distressed.
"Where did they go..."
She felt the need to report this to the church of the Church of the Earth Mother as this was clearly not some simple trick.
...
Saint Tapio's cathedral.
Nancy was sitting inside an office with three other people, a man and two women. One of these women was a bishop overseeing the Sentir region of the Enki province.
"This is without a doubt the doing of the Primordial Moon."
The priestess next to the Bishop released her frustration by punching a pillow after hearing Nancy's report on the unknown and corrupted village her team came across.
She described the children born from these pregnancies and how she had to take care of her whole team after the incident.
"Then we made the right call to send a Hierophant, the situation would have gotten out of hand otherwise."
The older gentleman with long hair was sitting on the couch with crossed arms, he had quiet a small stature.
The bishop herself looked to be in her twenties but in truth she was almost a hundred years old. She had no pupils or irises. Her round gentle face reminded Nancy of the Hidden existence she had spoken too which pulled her into that church.
The Primordial Light.
Nancy definitely felt conflicted about it, she was part of the Fertility Order, a believer of the Earth Mother!
"Not long after the deacon reached the small village i was sent a telegraph explaining the situation. It's still under investigation, but it has something to do with the Primordial Moon, or more specifically the Primordial Moon faction from the Rose School of Thought. They found the corspe of a Demigod and a giant oak tree with balls of flesh hanging off of it."
The bishop's voice sounded almost pained. The man on the couch heavily nodded and stood up, reaching to his breast pocket and taking out a pocket watch.
"Nancy Poole, we've decided to send you to the Gaia province. You've shown us your skills multiple times already, proving how useful you are. That's why I think it's about time you advanced to sequence 7, Harvest Priest."
Sequence 7? I've been sequence 8 for the past 11 months.
Nancy was excited at the prospect of advancing, but still cautious.
"We will see it through that you are provided with the ingredients. Oh, and another thing. Make sure to enjoy yourself here in the capital before leaving for the Gaia province... you'll be there for a while."
Nancy left the room while the priest, bishop and the unknown man stayed behind.
"I didn't sense any sort of corruption from her, she seems to be fine at the current."
The bishop sighed and tucked a few hair strands behind her ear, her eyes focused on the door.
"Well, uh, just keep an eye on her for now, we can't be sure that everything is in order. Maybe she looks fine now, but in two days she'll be wrecking havoc in the cathedral."
the priestess scoffed then placed her hands in front of her mouth and nose, with her fingers clasped together and palms empty. She prayed shortly then looked at the bishop.
"That's why we decided to send her away, if she's to lose control then it's better that it happens while she's far away from others."
...
A lone dinghy sailed through the foggy sea carrying a single passenger, his calloused hands gripping the oars loosely while some bandages hang loosely revealing the scarred skin beneath the covers.
