The boar-masked ninja's body shuddered violently, as if struck by a powerful wave, sending him flying backward with considerable force. He landed in a thoroughly undignified heap.
"Attack together!"
The boar-masked ninja and another ninja wearing a cat mask exchanged a brief, assessing glance before swiftly reaching a decision. Both then drew their weapons, splitting to attack Uchiha Kouki from two different directions.
"Think I'm afraid of you?"
Uchiha Kouki let out a cold chuckle. He knew Danzō, that old fox, was undoubtedly observing from the shadows, so he decided against using the Rinnegan. He possessed a multitude of techniques; even without the Rinnegan, subduing two elite jōnin from Root would pose no significant challenge. This was an excellent opportunity to test some of his newer abilities.
"Eight Gates Formation, First Gate, Opening, Open!"
"Eight Gates Formation, Second Gate, Resting, Open!"
"Eight Gates Formation, Third Gate, Life, Open!"
"Eight Gates Formation, Fourth Gate, Pain, Open!"
Uchiha Kouki swiftly opened the first four gates of the Eight Gates Formation. Unlike the dramatic, shout-filled openings often depicted in anime, he opened them silently. He considered such overt displays both foolish and embarrassing; a silent, efficient opening suited him better.
Upon opening the fourth gate, Kouki's entire being transformed into a terrifying center of energy, his body swirling with a palpable, ominous energy vortex. The sheer intensity of the energy was almost suffocating, leaving the two Root members feeling a profound sense of dread.
"What… this power…"
The two Root members' faces registered utter shock and disbelief.

In that instant, Uchiha Kouki vanished, utilizing the Body Flicker Technique with blinding speed. The two Root members were completely caught off guard, unable to react in time.
"Damn it!"
An overwhelming sense of imminent danger washed over them.
Uchiha Kouki had already reappeared behind them, his two fists, imbued with ferocious energy, hurtling towards them like twin meteors.
The two Root members, being elite jōnin, possessed exceptional skill and reflexes. At the last moment, they managed to twist their bodies in mid-air.
They attempted to counter Uchiha Kouki's attack using their weapons. However, before their weapons could even make contact, they were violently repelled by the immense energy radiating from Kouki's body.

Two incredibly powerful impacts reverberated through the air. The two Root ninjas recoiled violently, sent flying backward. Even in mid-air, they couldn't help but cough up large quantities of blood, the force of the blows having inflicted grievous injuries.

Before they could even attempt to regain their footing, Uchiha Kouki, moving with the incredible speed granted by the opened fourth gate, appeared before them once more. With two swift kicks, he crushed their throats, instantly ending their lives.
The two Root members were dispatched with brutal efficiency.
"Dead… they're dead! Those two… instantly killed!"
Other Root members concealed in the surrounding area gasped in unison, drawing in sharp breaths of disbelief. They couldn't believe their eyes. Uchiha Kouki, once ridiculed within the Uchiha clan for his unconventional focus on taijutsu over ninjutsu and genjutsu, had revealed himself to be a terrifyingly powerful combatant.
"Taijutsu… how is this possible! What kind of taijutsu is this?!" Danzō exclaimed, his single eye wide with astonishment and a growing sense of unease.
If it weren't for the two lifeless bodies lying on the ground, Danzō would have suspected he was hallucinating.
"Hiruzen and I were wrong. Kouki didn't defeat Asuma with genjutsu! He… truly defeated Asuma using only taijutsu!"
In that moment, the full implications of the situation crashed down upon Danzō.
However, even with this revelation, Kouki's sudden habit of wearing sunglasses remained a point of suspicion, a departure from his past behavior. Danzō was determined to investigate further.

"Danzō, you old rat, finally showing yourself?" Kouki responded with a cold smile, his gaze unwavering.
Danzō was so enraged that he nearly stumbled. As a student of the Second Hokage, a veteran of countless battles, and the head of Root, he held immense power and prestige in Konoha. Even the Third Hokage treated him with a degree of deference. Yet, this barely teenage boy dared to insult him so brazenly?
Danzō was practically fuming. He had been planning to subtly lure Kouki into Root, then gradually extract the secrets of his taijutsu training.
"Capture him, but leave him alive!" Danzō commanded, his voice laced with a chilling intensity.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh!
At Danzō's command, Root ninjas sprang from the shadows, surrounding Uchiha Kouki, their weapons drawn.
