Chapter 2 - chapter 2 -Awakening in the Unknown

In the previous chapter, Lin Yun was dragged into a wormhole, tossed across endless dimensions, and thrown onto a mysterious planet. There, he fell into unconsciousness.

Now, his story continues.

Lin Yun slowly opened his eyes. Pain pulsed through his skull, blood crusting over the wound on his forehead. His head spun, his thoughts scattered. He stumbled forward, trying to make sense of what had happened. One moment he was in the wormhole, the next… everything had changed.

The air was heavy, his body weak. He staggered out of the shattered wreckage of the space shuttle, his feet trembling, vision blurred. After a few shaky steps, he tripped over a stone and collapsed into the bushes, darkness swallowing him once again.

Hours later, Lin Yun awoke. This time, the sight before him stole his breath.

A vast plain stretched out endlessly, covered in brilliant green grass. Strange cries and calls echoed from hidden creatures, filling the unknown forest with life.

His heart pounded. This couldn't be real. Everything had changed in the blink of an eye. Yesterday, he was at the peak of his life. Today, he was stranded in a world beyond his imagination.

Panic seized him. He dashed back to the wreckage, rummaging for anything useful. Hours passed, but nothing remained that could help him. No food, no water—nothing.

His stomach growled. Hunger clawed at his insides.

Wandering aimlessly, Lin Yun's eyes caught sight of a glowing fruit hanging from a low branch. It shone with a silvery-white light, its sweet fragrance drifting in the air, making his throat tighten with desire.

Without hesitation, he plucked it and sank his teeth into its soft flesh.

The taste was divine.

For a moment, the world blurred, and Lin Yun was transported into a dreamlike fantasy where everything felt blissful and unreal. The fruit was intoxicating, its sweetness soothing both his body and soul.

When the last bite was gone, he felt renewed. Determination returned to his heart—he had to survive, and he had to explore this place.

As evening fell, Lin Yun walked through the forest. The silence was unnerving, broken only by the sound of his own footsteps.

Then—

A scream split the stillness.

It was guttural, primal, the cry of a beast locked in battle.

Lin Yun crouched low, moving carefully through the undergrowth. He pushed aside the leaves, and what he saw froze him in place.

A monstrous serpent loomed before him, its body thick as a tree, its two heads swaying in terrifying unison. Across from it lay the shredded remains of another enormous beast, torn beyond recognition.

Lin Yun's expression did not waver. Instead of fear, his face remained calm, unreadable.

Quietly, he began to retreat.

He crawled under the bushes, every movement slow and deliberate. His heart hammered so violently he could hear it in his ears, but his composure never broke.

The serpent's twin heads swung above him, tongues flicking out as they searched the air.

It was right there, looming over him. One wrong move, one sound—and he would be discovered.

To be continued…
