[THE VALE-WOODS]

[The knights chase after BRIENNE and PODRICK. PODRICK loses control of his horse and is separated from BRIENNE. He gets away from the knights and stops at a river. PODRICK turns the horse around and he loses control again, only this time he falls off the horse. He tries to run after it but stops. One of the knights sees PODRICK. PODRICK sees him as well and throws a rock at him and misses. Knight pulls out his sword and races towards PODRICK. BRIENNE shouts and PODRICK gets down. BRIENNE slices the knight off his horse before he can get to PODRICK. Another knight on a horse rushes towards her, and she stabs him in the neck.]

"These two are going to survive till the end" Tyrion declared, downing his drink. He just knew that would happen. However, what happens once they face the army of the dead... that was another matter entirely.

"Podrick?"

"Yes, my lady?"

"You can stand now."

"Yes, my lady. "

[PODRICK stands]

"Sansa Stark?"

"Wary of strangers, as she should be. I saw her riding on the East Trail with Littlefinger. We'll follow them."

"My lady, if those Stark girls refused your service, maybe you're released from your vow."

"I swore to their mother I'd protect those girls."

"If they don't want your protection-"

"Do you think she's safe from Littlefinger?"

[PODRICK pauses]

"No, my lady."

"Get your horse."

Catelyn practically beamed. This woman was loyal to the bone, not pretty to look at but pretty to the bone. The gods really smiled down upon her when they dropped this one in her lap.

[KING'S LANDING - CERSEI'S ROOM]

[Cersei looks fearfully at a box on her desk. Jaime opens it, and a viper with a necklace in its mouth comes out.]

"Dramatic" Oberyn rolled his eyes. Ellaria, it was her who sent it no doubt. But it was... a threat. She wouldn't harm Mycella. She wouldn't harm a child the same way the Lannisters hurt his nephew and niece. No, he refused to believe it.

Plus, his brother would never allow it.

So it was an empty threat to rile these people up.

[Jaime inspects the necklace; it has the Lannister lion on it.]

"There are only two like it in the world: the one I'm wearing and the one I gave to Myrcella."

Myrcella touched her empty neck. There was no necklace there. It was a gift her mother would give her in the future.

"It's a threat."

[CERSEI mocks JAIME'S words]

"It's a threat. Of course, it's a threat! Our daughter's in Dorne surrounded by people who hate our family. They blame us for the death of Oberyn and his sister, and every other tragedy that's befallen their cursed country."

"Wasn't it your fault?" Doran raised a brow.

"I can assure you, Prince Doran, we do not condone or support our father's acts against your family or any family he's hurt or will hurt in the future" Tyrion assured him.

Doran hummed thoughtfully.

"I will burn their cities to the ground if they touch her!

"Good luck" Elia scoffed. This woman could do nothing, not when Dorne survived something like Aegon, his sisters and their dragons.

"Not so loud."

"Our daughter's in danger, and you're worried I'm speaking too loudly!"

"The world can't know knows she's our daughter."

"Then don't call her your daughter. You've never been a father to her."

"If I was the father to any of my children, they'd be stoned in the streets."

"Or worse" Jaime eyed Robert, who sat stoically.

"They wouldn't do that to us, would they?" Tommen grabbed his sister's hand.

"I... don't know" Myrcella held her brother's hand tightly. They would. They all would.

"And what has your caution brought? Our eldest child murdered at his own wedding."

"Had you raised him better, he'd be alive" Catelyn muttered coldly.

"Our only daughter shipped off to Dorne. Our baby boy sent to marry that smirking whore from Highgarden."

"I'm tired of being called a whore every opportunity she gets" Margaery said almost boredly. She was a patient woman, but even she had her limits.

Olenna snorted.

"I'll make things better. I'm going to Dorne. I'll bring our daughter home."

"You can't just ask Prince Doran to give her back! She's promised his son."

"I'm not going to ask him anything."

Doran snorted softly. Two cripples fighting it out... wouldn't that be a treat.

"You go there with an army, it's an act of war."

"No army. Do you know where they're keeping her?"

"Oberyn mentioned the Water Gardens."

"I'll find her. Is there anything else, your grace?"

[CERSEI scoffs]

"You're going to Dorne? A one-handed man? Alone?"

"I never said I was going alone."

"Bronn" Tyrion and Jamie said in unison. By now that man had become a trusted ally to them both, they both knew it.

[DORNE - WATER GARDENS]

[ELLARIA walks towards Doran's place on the balcony and is blocked by AREO HOTAH.]

"The prince does not wish to be disturbed."

"Remove yourself from my path, or I'll take that long axe and shove it-"

Oberyn chuckled. That was the fire he had fallen too badly for.

"Captain. Let her pass."

[AREO reluctantly steps to the side. ELLARIA approaches PRINCE DORAN, staring at the Water Gardens from his wheelchair.]

"You look more like Father there" Elia commented.

"I always did take more after him than Mother" Doran chuckled.

"That was Oberyn.''

Oberyn smirked.

"You were the perfect mix of them both, mother's beauty and father's patience."

Elia smiled.

"Your brother was murdered, and you sit here at the Water Gardens, staring at the sky and doing nothing."

"Oberyn was slain during a trial by combat. By law, that is not murder."

"Your brother-"

"You don't have to remind me. He was my brother long before he was anything to you."

"You are angry" Oberyn observed.

"My brother just died, of course, I'm angry" Doran rolled his eyes.

Oberyn was touched.

"What will you do about his death?"

"I will bury him. I will mourn for him."

"And I will plot my vengeance" Doran added the rest in a whisper.

"You would have me go to war?"

"The whole country would have you go to war."

"Then we are lucky the whole country does not decide."

"The Sand Snakes are with me. They have the love of their people. They will avenge your brother while you sit here in your chair doing nothing."

Oberyn hummed. Not untrue. But in a head-to-head clash, Dorne would stand no chance.

[DORAN says nothing. Cut back to TRYSTANE and MYRCELLA in the Water Gardens.]

"Oberyn is dead. And this Lannister girl skips about the Water Gardens eating our food, breathing our air. How many of your brothers and sisters do they have to kill? Let me have her. Let me send her to Cersei one finger at a time."

"You will do no such thing," Oberyn said sharply, his eyes enraged. "Dorne does not stoop so low to harm innocents!"

Myrcella's hold on her brother's hand tightened from fear.

"I loved my brother. And you made him very happy. For that, you will always have a place in my heart. But we do not mutilate little girls for vengeance. Not here. Not while I rule."

"And how long will that be?"

[ELLARIA exits the room. AREO goes back to guarding the door. DORAN shakes his head.]

"She is angry, Oberyn. Do not worry that I will take it the wrong way. In time she will calm" Doran assured his brother.

But Oberyn was not assured. The fire in Ellaria he saw, he did not like. She would do something drastic... something stupid that would put Dorne in a bad state. He'll need to talk to her after his return and explain to her why she needs to trust Doran.

Soran always had a plan.
