POV: Chetan
The room had no visible exits.
After walking along the four walls without hope, examining the ceiling, and running my fingers over every joint, I finally gave up looking. The door wasn't simply hidden. Everything had been constructed to give the impression that it had never existed.
I go back to sit on the bed.
I'm suffocating, it's driving me crazy.
The mask hadn't moved.
His presence was becoming almost more disturbing than this fucking room.
– pisses you off
I will whisper
He remained there, standing in that uniform whiteness, without showing the slightest sign of fatigue, he really looked like one of his white machines.
I finally break the silence.
– HHAAAAAAA. AAAAAA
– DON'T LOOK AT ME, really annoying
No reaction from him
The mask tilted the head just slightly.
– N needs to sleep.
I'm looking for an object to throw.
- ha ! .
Everything is fixed
– N needs to sleep.
– SHUT YOUR MOUTH, YOU PIECE OF SHIT.
I got out of bed and repeatedly banged on the frame.
– OPEN THIS FUCKING DOOR OR I'LL BREAK YOUR STUPID ROBOTS
No sooner had I said those two words than her head began to follow my movements.
I stopped, and so did she.
She is now behaving as if she is in danger.
I took a step in his direction.
Same reaction.
The mask folded into a corner.
I stopped in front of him.
– You are as stupid as a human child.
He did not respond as usual.
– GO AWAY, RUN! ARE YOU NOT AFRAID? I'm just counting to 5 before I rip your head off.
A heavy silence settled in.
Then he slowly raised his hand.
Her fingers moved closer to my face without touching me.
– N.
I pushed his hand away.
– Don't call me that, you only have 3 seconds left.
The mask remained folded in its corner.
Then his voice became low, like a whisper.
– Chetan.
The sound was identical. Same softness. Same way of slightly prolonging my first name.
My gaze remained fixed on the mask.
– You start again.
The voice fell silent.
Then she resumed, in a lower voice.
- I'm sorry .
I lightly squeezed his fingers and tapped him on the top of the mask
– shut your mouth or…
Clenching his fist in front of him
He stepped back until he hit the transparent surface that was once a door.
– You're tiring.
I closed my eyes and pinched the top of my nose.
For a second, the white of the room. I let myself fall and sat with my forehead pressed against the floor.
– Chetan.
– You've strayed from the path
I'm going to kill them all.
