Even after few weeks of Adrian and Rylan encounter Adrian couldn't stop thinking about the kiss with Rylan,And they were certainly bound to cross path again cause the Duke was going to hold a differentiation ceremony for his son Rylan.
the differentiation ceremony usually happens after the Individual has been. Differentiated into either an Alpha or omega or a Beta but somethings happened that caused Rylan's own to be postponed.
There would be fun,dancing, partying and dining, everybody was always anxiously waiting for it,but Adrian was not one of those people,he dreaded such events like this and to make matters worse he was going to attend it with his Alpha brothers,he didn't care that he wasn't Alpha,but on days like this where everyone would be present he has to care,the comparison would be too much,the stares and everything would be intense he already knew this.
"Mom,I don't wanna go, can't I just stay here with you,he said amidst tears.
"No, darling you have to go or else your dad is gonna get angry,and you know how he is when he gets angry"
sighs,Baby look at me she said lifting his chin up with her hands,Be strong,being an omega doesn't mean weakness or submissiveness, you have to be strong for yourself,okay?! I'll make sure your brothers watch over you,she said as she pulled him closer to her chest and patting his hair.
Linda,was always like that she knew she had to be strong for herself and for her baby boy,she knew what she passed through as a young omega back then,every alpha wanted a taste and the fact that she was very beautiful,with long chestnut brown hair it made every girl in the city envious of her and wanted to spoil her reputation,but luckily she met Cassian the love of her life,his father was a minister at the palace at that time while Linda parents were also ministers,they met at a ball,and fell in love and Cassian decided to marry her
"okay momma,I'll go please can you help me get dressed?!
"sure thing baby,you don't need to ask she said standing up and walking towards his dressing room.
Okayy,so what do we have here,hmmm let's see,I think wearing a white regalia would be nice,or what do you think?!she said bringing out a white regalia with golden embroidery of vines all over it,what do you think?!
Mm,I guess this is good,but I don't want something that'll be too catchy I don't want the crowds attention to be on me.
No no.....of course,you don't,this is okay I promise you, it's a nice simple regalia nobody would even try to guess where you got it from, it's common
Okayy mom,if you say so,he said taking the clothes from his mom and entering the dresser to change.
After few minutes Adrian was ready,mom---mom come look,does this look good or should I change into something else?!
"Wowww.....no need to change into anything else this one suits you better.
You sure momma?!
Of course baby,I am,now let's go to the carriage and see what your brothers are putting on.
His brother's on the other hand were dressed like they were the celebrants wearing an extravagantly designed regalia designed with all kinds of gems and gold embroidery,they were literally glittering like a disco ball,if you didn't know any better you'll think they were the celebrants and they were part of the royal family.
Adrian just stood staring not in awe but something else maybe a flicker of disgust and shame.
"chop,chop, now boys let's get going or You're gonna be late, Linda emphasized then she signaled the coach to start the journey
Luckily the journey was not a bumpy one for Adrian cause he slept through it and he was sitting comfortably on a very soft cushion chair so there was no sort of discomfort whatsoever
They soon arrived at the Duke's palace in less than an hour,the place was filled with people of different caliber and races of Strong Dominant Alpha,the fairest and most beautiful omegas and strong looking betas the whole place was filled with luxury and beauty,nobody looked out of place.
The banquet was filled with different food and cuisines, cakes of all flavors and ginormous cookies
Okay now,let's welcome the Duke himself ,Duke Veythar as we all know he's been the pillar of this great nation since the differentiation season,and now together we stand to welcome his son---Duke Rylan Veythar,today we officially celebrate his differentiation ceremony he differentiated into an alpha as we all know but the celebration hasn't been held due to some unforseen circumstances or other should I say some foreseen circumstances and that earned laughter from the audience and everyone on the hall, that was Gerald,Duke Veythar's Beta a very jovial and cheerful man he's been Veythar Beta since he became duke.
"Now let's welcome our very own Alpha Rylan to open his differentiation ceremony.
Rounds of applause and cheers came from the audience,as Rylan confidently stepped into the spotlight,he was putting on a black knight suit with red embroidery and definitely that was something that fitted him well cause the black suit was sthe color of his hair(Jet black hair) and the embroidery matched the color if his eye(crimson red)
"He's so handsome","I love Rylan so much" those were the words of some omegas in the audience,Adrian just stood looking at them in contempt and disgust,"I wish he was my mate" , that one earned an eye roll from Adrian.
Unbeknownst to him Rylan who was on the stage giving his speech couldn't take his eyes off him,he was staring intently and having nasty thoughts.
Thank you, he said as he finished giving his speech which he rushed cause he wanted to go have a talk with Adrian, slowly he walked up to the severale brothers "Hi there,we meet again, Rylan said smiling widely,
Congratulations Alpha on your differentiation,Adrian brothers chirped cutting Adrian off, despite the fact that he was going to ignore Rylan it stilled hurt his pride.
Thank you,Rylan said wanting not to seem too proud and rude cause he was trying to please HIS omega and get on the family good side,then he turned to Adrian again, and blurted out "You look great"
Huh... Thank you Alpha,Adrian answered shock visible on his face.
What does he think he's doing,Adrian thought how can he just blurt that, doesn't he know I'm an omega, we're not supposed to be complimented by any alpha except our family members and other omegas.
Rylan just stood looking at Adrian,flushed face,filled with shock and confusion,Oh this is gonna be fun,Rylan thought
Um....Alpha can I talk to you,Adrian said in a soft voice that caused heat to surge all over Rylan's body causing him to shudder,
Oh he's gonna be the death of me,Rylan thought
Sure,Rylan said pulling Adrian by the hand and taking him to a more secluded area were nobody would see or hear them.
Um...Alpha I wanted to talk to you concerning what happened that day we met.
"And what would that be,Rylan said feigning ignorance.
"The kiss,Adrian said in whispers,
"Oh concerning that,well that's no problem I kissed you too so that'll not be an issue.
Um... Alpha I think you should forget it, forget you've ever met me,I don't want to get too entangled to anything that'll make me a centre of attraction,please just forget it he said and began walking away.
Wait,what?! Did he just suggest I forget something that's already embroidered in my memory?!Rylan asked himself
No...No...No that's not fair,he said and ran toward Adrian, Yanking his hands and pulling him into the palace library, trapping him in between the shelf and his body Rylan growled angrily,What did you say I should forget?!
Um...I suggested you forget about the kiss,I don't want to....
His voice trailed off as Rylan crushed his lips on Adrian's,it was a kiss used to fuel his anger and hurt he kissed him so hard there was barely any air for Adrian to breathe,he ended the kiss after biting Adrian lips.
Never,ever bring this up again,I enjoyed the kiss with you i don't regret kissing you,Cause I want you to be my Omega
What?!!!! That was all Adrian could say.
And yeah, I'll talk to my dad to issue a betrothal degree for you and me.
What?!!! That's absurd,Adrian thought
Bye, now my omega,I can't be away for too long from my own differentiation ceremony ceremony,Muahhh he said blowing Adrian a kiss and walking away.
