Chapter 387 - Chapter 387

Beam roaring, Cyclops kept up the pressure—yet the bald man in yellow just stood there, bright-eyed and lively.

Damn it. What kind of monster is this guy? Is he immune to optic blasts?

As that thought formed, Saitama simply reached back and took hold of Colossus' forearm. A tooth-aching crackle sounded as, with casual force, he pried Piotr's locked arms apart.

"What—what's going on!"

Colossus had always counted himself among the stronger X-Men. And yet this man had peeled him off like nothing. While Piotr wavered, Saitama walked, unhurried, straight toward Cyclops through the red torrent.

Scott froze. He hadn't imagined anyone could do this. He cranked the visor's output higher—no effect. Saitama didn't just avoid being pushed back; he didn't even slow down.

Saitama stopped beside him, plucked the sunglasses from Scott's hand, and gently set them back on his face. He gave Cyclops' shoulder a light pat. "Alright. You tried really hard. But looks like you're still not…"

His eyes flicked to the empty air where Cyclops had been. He frowned. In the next instant, Scott finished carving a man-shaped hole through the wall and vanished down a corridor.

"You—" Colossus braced to charge again, only to find his hands wouldn't obey.

"Jean! Alarm! This man is too dangerous!"

"No need for you to say it. I've already triggered it!" Phoenix's voice sharpened. She knew better than anyone what they were facing—Cyclops' blast could pierce dozens of centimeters of steel, and this guy had just eaten five minutes of that and was still perky?

That's not human.

"Can you stop joining in?" Saitama sighed. "I only want to defeat Professor X."

He rolled his shoulder once, then in a single step appeared in front of Charles and let a punch fly. "Okay—surrender now!"

But Professor X vanished.

He didn't dodge—he disappeared.

Huh? Saitama blinked. His punch kept going. A hurricane of pressure exploded outward, flinging the gathered mutants away. When they staggered back to their feet, half the room was gone, a yawning trench carved into the floor.

"Wh-what is he… a monster?"

"Just now… that was Illyana! You're here?" Colossus' face brightened.

A woman's voice answered from above. "Yes, my dear brother. What are you doing—watching Charles get attacked?"

She slammed down from the sky. The outfit made Saitama's ears go red—overtly revealing black leather, a curtain of gold hair, a face so striking he had to admit she might even edge out Hellish Blizzard.

"Illyana(Magik)! Be careful of that man!" Piotr(Colossus) warned. He knew his sister's temper.

A pane of text seemed to flip before Saitama's eyes.

[Name]Illyana Nikolievna Rasputina

Note: Not brainwashed by Professor X—she simply fell in love with him.

Saitama scratched his cheek with an index finger. She did not look easy to deal with.

"You—"

"You what, you cue-ball! You hurt Charles! I'll kill you!"

Strange patterns crawled across Illyana's bare skin; demonic horns curled from her temple; her feet cloven into hooves. She was invoking a spell—

No. I'm supposed to be mad right now.

Saitama's face went flat. "Who are you calling bald…"

A barrage of energies hammered his chest.

"Aging! Slowness! Armor Break! Magic Resistance Down! Polymorph Resistance Down! Strength Drain! Agility Strip! Bloodlust! Mind Weakening!"

One curse after another streaked into him in glittering arcs. Illyana's thinking was simple: drown him in hexes, make him suffer, vent her rage. But after absorbing all of it, Saitama looked exactly the same—mildly bored.

"Hey. Where did you send Professor X?" Saitama asked, helpless.

"Why are you hurting him! He's so handsome! So handsome! So handsome! Is it because he's better-looking than you?" Illyana all but screamed.

"Is he more handsome than me?" Saitama pointed at his own nose.

Illyana hesitated—then roared, "Go die! You're not even worthy to touch one of Charles' fingers, you damned bald mule!"

"I'm not bald. I'm just too smart…"

Saitama appeared in front of her. The kinetic shock alone blasted the surrounding debris outward in a ring. Illyana froze.

What the…
