"Bang! Bang! Bang! KRAK!"
A rapid chain of impacts exploded through the air—like someone had just scored a perfect strike in bowling.
Several gargoyles smashed into each other mid-flight, and broken stone and metal parts rained down like a storm, clattering onto the street below. The one Saitama had thrown went even further, slamming straight into a balcony's gargoyle group sculpture and collapsing it, triggering another burst of chaos.
"Oh. That worked pretty well." Saitama nodded, seemingly satisfied with the result.
His gaze swept across the sky, finally landing on the tallest structure
Big Ben's clock tower.
That was where the most gargoyles had gathered, and there also seemed to be some faint flow of energy up there.
Saitama bent his knees slightly, then kicked off with force.
Boom!
Spiderweb cracks spread instantly across the rooftop under his feet. His body shot toward the top of the tower like a cannonball, so fast it left afterimages in the air.
The gargoyles on the tower clearly hadn't expected anyone to jump up there directly. They stirred in panic and swarmed Saitama, claws and corrosive fluid coming at him together.
On the narrow clock tower peak, Saitama moved with effortless agility. Every dodge was perfectly timed. Every time he reached out, he inevitably caught a gargoyle by the wing or leg—then used it as a weapon to smash into its companions.
For a moment, it was like a "gargoyle rainstorm" was falling from the tower, shattered stone chunks constantly dropping from above.
After clearing most of the guards, Saitama noticed something inside the tower—behind the massive mechanical clockwork gears.
Something was hidden there, giving off a faint magical fluctuation.
It was a deep-blue gem embedded in an ancient pedestal. Countless tiny threads of energy extended from it, linking outward to every gargoyle.
"So this is the core." Saitama walked forward.
He ignored the few remaining gargoyles still attacking him uselessly and raised his fist toward the gem.
There was no earth-shaking explosion—only a crisp crack, like glass shattering.
Kach.
The deep-blue gemstone instantly filled with fractures, then crumbled into dust. The magic energy spread through the air like mist—then retreated like a tide going out.
In that instant, every living gargoyle in London's sky froze completely.
The light in their eyes went dark. The signs of animation vanished. They became cold, lifeless architectural decorations again, dropping from the air or locking back onto their original bases.
The night returned to silence, with only the faint sound of whistles coming from far away.
Saitama jumped down from the clock tower, landing lightly on the ground. He brushed the dust off his clothes, rubbed his stomach, and said to the wide-eyed S.H.I.E.L.D. agent beside him:
"All done. Is there anything good to eat around here? I heard fish and chips are pretty famous."
The agent opened his mouth, looked at the rubble everywhere, then looked back at Saitama—who seemed as relaxed as if he'd just gone for a walk.
In the end, he didn't ask anything. He only nodded with difficulty.
"…Yes, sir. I know a pretty good place."
Florida, USA. The Everglades.
A land of dense waterways and towering trees, with humid heat and the stench of rot hanging in the air.
But this natural domain had been claimed by a terrifying beast.
A mutated giant crocodile over twenty meters long—its hide so thick it could withstand armor-piercing tank rounds, its tail swings capable of kicking up waves of mud to conceal its movements—had already wiped out multiple elite local hunter squads sent to eliminate it…
