Matt lowered his fighting stance and murmured to himself, his voice filled with shocked disbelief. "This power… it's just… not human."
The Mississippi River fell into chaos.
A magnetic storm catfish, a hundred meters long and like a small island, thrashed through the river. It wasn't pure flesh and blood, but some kind of bio-mechanical hybrid. Metal scales covered its body, and it could generate an overwhelming magnetic field.
Passing ships were effortlessly flipped. Electronic devices in the cities along both banks all failed at once. Even massive steel bridge structures began to twist and deform. Metal road signs and cars were ripped up by invisible magnetism and dragged toward the river's center, flying through the air.
The Flash, tried to use his speed to circle to the catfish's flank or rear to find a weakness. But the moment he entered a certain range, his body was firmly sucked in by the powerful magnetic field, like he'd fallen into invisible mud—his speed plummeted, and he could barely move.
"Damn it! This magnetic field is too strong!" Barry shouted as he struggled.
Saitama stood on the riverbank, watching the chaos.
At that moment, the magnetic storm catfish seemed to notice him on the shore. It manipulated the magnetic field, rapidly compressing and combining dozens of cars, shipping containers, and other metal junk it had pulled into the air—forming an enormous "iron ball."
With a booming roar, it smashed down toward Saitama like a meteor!
"Watch out!" Barry and Aquaman, who had just rushed in from upstream, shouted at the same time.
Saitama looked at the massive iron ball coming down. He didn't back away—he walked straight toward it instead.
In the instant before it hit him, his fist moved.
Not a single punch—dozens of punches in a blink!
Each strike landed precisely on the weakest connecting points in the iron ball's structure.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!...
In a chain of continuous explosions, that gigantic iron ball was smashed apart in midair!
The cars, containers, and metal parts that formed it seemed to lose all cohesion, blown away and scattered everywhere. Yet they somehow avoided the densely populated areas, flying off harmlessly into open space.
The magnetic storm catfish seemed furious. It released a low hum, like an overloaded electric current, and an even stronger magnetic field erupted outward. The metal wreckage on the river surface began to tremble again.
Saitama didn't pause.
He jumped straight into the muddy, surging Mississippi River.
Shockingly, the fierce water resistance didn't seem to affect him at all. He moved like he was walking on flat ground, charging rapidly toward the massive black shadow at the riverbed.
The catfish also noticed the underwater intruder. It swung its gigantic tail, stirring violent undercurrents. At the same time, on its head, an obvious artificial protruding metal organ crackling with arcs of electricity
A magnetic field generator
Flared brighter, trying to use a powerful underwater magnetic field to crush Saitama… or lock him in place.
But Saitama ignored everything.
He broke through the undercurrents, swam straight up to the catfish's head, and punched the protruding generator.
Boom!!!
A muffled shock rang out underwater.
The magnetic field generator was instantly pierced through and pulverized, bursting into a spray of electrical sparks before going completely dark.
The gigantic magnetic storm catfish's body jerked violently. The magnetic field wrapped around it vanished in an instant. Its enormous body lost power, the light in its eyes dimmed, and it slowly sank toward the riverbed.
Up on the surface, all the metal objects that had been held by its magnetic force fell like rain back into the water and onto the banks.
